New Moon in Sagittarius & Mercury Conjuncts Pluto (December 5, 2010)

The New Moon in Sagittarius initiates our next monthly theme. We now need to understand and explain our discoveries in the previous month. We do this by seeking for answers to be found in Religion, Philosophy and Science. We need to make sense of our experiences, share our knowledge and expand our frames of reference. We do this for ourselves and for the future.

As the days grow ever shorter and the light is fading, we seek to find comfort in the answers that our ancestors provided for us. We also need to add to that wisdom and pass on our contribution to those that follow. At this turning of the wheel, we must follow the injunction: Seek the truth, be your truth.

Mercury conjunct Pluto creates a very intense environment for thinking and communicating. Tremendous and deep insights are available about the structure of our reality and the nature of our responsibilities in it. Use this mental power wisely

However, we may stumble into the error of feeling so profound and so “right” that we are not receptive enough to another point of view. We may feel that we must be right, and others must believe it too. We must convince the other, because after all, we are absolutely sure of the correctness of our point of view.

Instead, you should use the power of Pluto to examine the reality of your own thinking more deeply. Penetrate beyond your assumptions and find a deeper meaning about the nature of reality. Fulfill your responsibility to be a self-reflective thinker who knows that you must challenge your own assumptions if you want to move beyond this world of illusion.

Mars Square Uranus (December 3, 2010)

Be careful! This is not a time to be hasty or impatient.…slow down or you will make a mistake you will regret. Tempers can flare up, words could go too far. You will be upset or angry about the truth, your truth, and end up harming yourself or another.

A square brings a situation to a decision point. The challenge here is that our personal actions or desires are being shaped by Uranus. Mars in Sagittarius wants to act in a very direct and straightforward manner, to act in perfect freedom because, after all, “truth” is on our side.  If taken too far, if we allow the negative side of being pushed by Uranus to manifest, we can act so “righteously” that we commit a wrong.

Uranus in Pisces actually comes in to remind us that, in fact, in order to be free you must also be compassionate. Our actions must be guided by the understanding that whomever you are dealing with…that person is fundamentally the same as you. Your “freedom” to be or do something cannot come at the expense of another. Rather, we must act with imagination, creativity and love in order to make a space we can be free in, together.

Mars Sextile Neptune (December 2, 2010)

Our desires rise to answer a whisper from beyond. Inspired actions can bring dreams into reality. Right action is guided by the soul’s inner light, which unites us all in one greater reality.

You can make your dreams come true now. Act in truth with those who imagine a world that will be better for one and all. Join in fellowship and common purpose and find  happiness through companionship. Dream, believe and act as one.

Mercury Sextiles Venus (December 1, 2010)

Communicate your values with grace and clarity. The ability to convey your appreciation is well supported now. With Mercury in Capricorn, we are in a serious frame of mind; and with Venus in Scorpio, we are passionate about our tastes.

Loving thoughts are gracefully shared. Enjoy the beautiful within and without. Speak from your heart and celebrate what is good. Remember, the secret to happiness is “to walk in beauty”.

Mercury Enters Capricorn (November 30, 2010)

Our minds turn to the practical now. Enough with theories and talk… what “works” is what counts. Logic reigns supreme. This is not the time for flights of fancy, you will only be dismissed or ridiculed.

Instead, bring your ideas into sharp focus, marshal your facts, and demonstrate the practical value of what you know. Some of the key words to use now are:

Responsibility, Tradition, Classical and Duty.

This is a time to be serious. Opinions do not count, we need proof.
