Your year divides, into four quarters…four cor­ners to square this cir­cle of life. At each cor­ner there stands a sign of begin­ning, for each sea­son a start­ing line. At Spring and Fall you find a bal­ance, you poised upon that equinox­al line…where the bright­ness of day meets the dark­ness of night as equals…

But at Win­ter and Sum­mer you find the extreme, you can­not go any further…and you must turn and move towards the oth­er, for there is no oth­er way…You find your­self at a turn­ing and you must acknowl­edge, the cur­rent has turned, the tide will ebb and you must turn too…

Now at this Can­cer moment, at this Burn­ing Bright, this Sum­mer moment that is root­ed in your devo­tion to the per­son­al, to the home, to the fam­i­ly, it is all for your per­son­al pri­vate life. It is pre­cise­ly now that you must turn and acknowl­edge that you are part of some­thing greater too…that you have a duty and respon­si­bil­i­ty to some­thing beyond yourself…because you are part of some­thing greater than just this that is so very close and dear.

Mars has been “stuck” in Vir­go since Novem­ber 2011! That is a very, very long time to be work­ing in that Earthy realm, hon­ing and refin­ing your sense of Order and Wellness…of per­fect­ing your sense of well-being.

Well, that was fast…Mercury zipped through Gem­i­ni and Can­cer in just over 4 weeks! Now he enters the realm of the Lion where he will stay for over 2 months! Wow, that is a very long time in one sign…what is going on here?

Well, of course you prob­a­bly guessed it, Mer­cury is slow­ing down and get­ting ready for his next ret­ro­grade cycle, which begins on July 14 and runs until August 8. As a result, Mer­cury will stay in Leo from June 25 until August 31…So…you had bet­ter get ready for an extend­ed trip through the world of Leo-Mindedness!

While Mer­cury was in Can­cer, your thoughts were cen­tered upon your need for greater secu­ri­ty, your mind wan­dered through those echoes, those mem­o­ries of home as you found your­self dwelling upon your ever present need to be nur­tured and nur­tur­ing. You felt the pull, a draw­ing down into a re-con­nec­tion with your roots…you felt whole again and you were able to build your thoughts upon more true, sol­id and mean­ing­ful foundations…

Now you are com­ing from that hom­ing-time, from that more cen­tered place.…Now it is time to move out again, your mind is pre­pared to stretch itself in Leo…Now your mind is back in Fire, back in the realm of Ideals and it is your time to shine again! It is time to “show off” and daz­zle the room with your gift for mak­ing your point while wow­ing them too! For as much as you felt drawn inward, to find­ing secu­ri­ty in Can­cer, now you seek some form of out­ward con­fir­ma­tion, you need to be appre­ci­at­ed, hon­ored and loved…you need to have your designs, words and deeds to be met with the roar of the crowd, with the stand­ing ovation…This is your time to get Respect!

But there­in lies your challenge…If you approach the per­for­mance with too much appro­ba­tion, with too much need for approval (and it is not forth­com­ing), well you could be dev­as­tat­ed by that lack of approval from anoth­er (even though you just exe­cut­ed a mas­ter­piece). Or, you might ere on the side of over-compensation…if you come in with an “atti­tude”, with your ego “front and cen­ter”, you could lose your audi­ence before you’ve even started…You could under­whelm or over­whelm and fail to hit the mark and grab the prize…

The chal­lenge, as always, lies within…You must work on your self-approval, to have a belief in your own worth for oth­ers to rec­og­nize it too. If you go out “need­ing” it, des­per­ate­ly long­ing for that approval, (because you real­ly doubt your­self), well life is going to show you that you need to go back to your draw­ing board and fix yourself…For you must love your­self if you wished to be Loved.

Like­wise, if you find that “your way” is to push, shove and demand the spot­light because you “deserve it”…Oh boy, you should know that that kind of hubris is just beg­ging your dear friend neme­sis to show up and spoil your show. Life, kar­ma, again steers you back upon the mid­dle path of self-respect that is per­fect­ly found and bal­anced by your respect and appre­ci­a­tion, but most of all, by your love for every oth­er too.

The Lord of Mind is tak­ing you on an extend­ed trip…

He is Draw­ing you to your Greater Destiny.…

Mer­cury, the mes­sen­ger, ever seeks to remind you of your Truth…

Jupiter Square Nep­tune (June 25)

Jupiter in Gem­i­ni meets up with Nep­tune in Pisces; you need to see how to bet­ter bend your grand ideas to the whis­pers of your imag­i­na­tion, dreams and spir­i­tu­al nature. Growth is good, but you need to expand rea­son­ably (and hon­est­ly). Be care­ful of deals or promis­es that sound too good to be true…they usu­al­ly are!

Jupiter rules your Beliefs, Truths and Prin­ci­ples. It is from these that you forge your attitudes…it is how you cre­ate your out­look on life. This is what deter­mines what path in life you walk upon, whether it is steep or flat, full of growth or of waiting.

Jupiter in Gem­i­ni this year draws you out through your insa­tiable curios­i­ty so that you might be bet­ter able to take delight in the won­ders of a path not yet taken…You are more eager to see what’s over there, to turn to the undis­cov­ered and look upon your world from a new perspective.

Nep­tune is hold­ing court in her Pis­cean realm of Dreams, Visions and the Imag­i­na­tion. Nep­tune rules the realm from which all your real­i­ties arise, she rules the pri­mor­dial mists, the realm of All Real­i­ty from which each lim­it­ed real­i­ty aris­es. Nep­tune rules this foun­tain-source of Cre­ation, which appears as a Void, a vast Dark­ness or to some as a Blind­ing White Light…Because it is beyond your under­stand­ing, this Greater Real­i­ty appears to you as the impon­der­able, in a form you know quite sim­ply as Chaos.

Nep­tune bestows a bend­ing ray upon Jupiter now. She gra­cious­ly chal­lenges your beliefs with a wel­come yet trou­bling reminder that things are nev­er what they appear to be. She is here to remind you that con­fu­sion and doubt are your con­stant and need­ed com­pan­ions. That your ever-spi­ral­ing growth of under­stand­ing depends upon hav­ing Faith in one thing… that you must grow beyond the lim­its you have set upon your­self at each stage of your jour­ney to the Greater Aware­ness. You must believe and yet con­tin­u­ous­ly chal­lenge your beliefs by main­tain­ing a faith that is not fixed but ever-seek­ing, ever yearn­ing to draw clos­er to a Greater Reality…

Jupiter is shaped by Nep­tune now so that what is brought into your Beliefs, what is com­bined in your Truths and Prin­ci­ples is the Grace of Humility…For you do not know what you can­not yet com­pre­hend. She reminds that when­ev­er you find your­self absolute­ly sure of what­ev­er, you should turn right around and laugh at yourself…for there is noth­ing absolute but your path of growth. At each step in your jour­ney, in each day and at each stage you pro­ceed with the illu­sion of certainty…and for a time it may hold…but even­tu­al­ly you must rise above and come to a more expan­sive and inclu­sive understanding…you must let go of the less­er and rise into the Greater Awareness…This has always been your path.

It is for this rea­son that what is req­ui­site for your greater illu­mi­na­tion is that you con­front your self-delu­sions, which were your cer­tain­ties and nec­es­sary for a stage of exis­tence to hold…but will only hold you back now from your greater life. You must go through Dis­il­lu­sion, lose your Illu­sions, in order to receive a high­er Illumination.

This is the gift that Nep­tune offers to you now…She offers the gift of Illu­mi­na­tion for which you must sac­ri­fice your less­er self, give up your more lim­it­ed Beliefs, Truths and Prin­ci­ples, for these must be offered up if you are to enter into the Hall of Won­ders and cre­ate a Life worth Living.
