Mercury Enters Cancer (June 16, 2011)

Words may nevยญer express what you truยญly feelโ€ฆbut at the very least you should feel like tryยญing now. Till July 2nd, Merยญcuryโ€™s dash through Canยญcer brings about a deepยญer alignยญment of your feelยญings and thoughts. Itโ€™s time to share with each othยญer your expeยญriยญence of comยญmitยญment, nurยญturยญing and love.

Your conยญverยญsaยญtions and musยญings will cenยญter upon carยญing and secuยญriยญty. Your mind must be temยญpered by intuยญitive senยญsiยญbilยญiยญties. It will not be enough that your thoughts are clear; your intenยญtion must feel right too. Nuance, symยญpaยญthy and comยญpasยญsion will be givยญen and received. When askยญing anothยญer about someยญthing, do not say โ€œWhat do you think about this?โ€ Instead, you should say โ€œHow do you feel about this?โ€ You will get a much betยญter response.

Yes, it is time to laugh, and cry, to sing, and shoutโ€ฆbut do it all from your heart, from your soulโ€ฆIt is good to feel whole again!

Thought-Feelยญings turn to the root of things, to your oriยญgins. Famยญiยญly, home, tribe and nationโ€ฆultimately it all comes togethยญer in the cenยญter of your soul. You feel conยญnectยญed, you feel staยญble, you belong hereโ€ฆ

You are home.

Gemini Full Moon-Part 2 (June 15, 2011)

A quesยญtion was asked about my earยญliยญer postยญing: โ€œWhat is the sigยญnifยญiยญcance of the deepยญest totalยญiยญty of the eclipse and the exact moment of the Full Moon being the same?โ€

Because we are expeยญriยญencยญing a process, not a moment in time, an eclipse event will last many hours. The moon begins to enter the Penumยญbra of the earthยญโ€™s shadยญow at around 1:24 pm (all times Eastยญern Dayยญlight), then into the real shadยญow of the Umbra at 2:22 pm with comยญplete covยญerยญage being attained at 3:22 pm, that is when the Total Eclipse has begun. The eclipse is at it greatยญest at around 4:13 pm (yes same time as Full Moon), and totalยญiยญty โ€œendsโ€ as the Moon begins to move out of the Umbra at 5:02 pm. The Moon passยญes out of the Umbra comยญpleteยญly by 6:02 leavยญing it withยญin the Penumยญbra until it passยญes beyond any shadยญow at around 7 pm.

So the Total Eclipse times are: Penumยญbral: 5 hours 36 min, Umbral: 3 hours 39 min, and Total Eclipse 1 hour 40 min.

Your quesยญtion, โ€œWhy does the exact Full Moon and Full Eclipse coinยญcide?โ€ (again, the exact moment is only a moment, though perยญcepยญtuยญalยญly to us it lasts much longer. That is the Total Eclipse runs from 3:22 till 5:02, yet it is only โ€œexactโ€ at 4:13).

The reaยญson the exact moment of the Full Moon and Eclipse being the same comes from the fact that this Eclipse is takยญing place almost exactยญly on the South Node of the Moon, (the point at which the Earthยญโ€™s orbit of the Sun and the Moonโ€™s orbit of the Earth meet). The node today is at 23 degrees, 26 minยญutes of Sagitยญtarยญius and the Full Moon is at 24 degrees, 23 minยญutes. If the Moon was sevยญerยญal degrees away from the node, there would still be an eclipse, but the Full Moon and Total Eclipse moments would be farยญther apart.

This is a long eclipse, but not the longest. The Moon is โ€œmovยญing fasterโ€ now which is a facยญtor deterยญmined by where it is in its cycle from closยญest to farยญthest from the Earth. If it was at it apogee, farยญthest, then a slowยญer Moon would creยญate the longest eclipse. The Moon was at perigee on June 11, and will be at apogee on June 23. Still it is a longer eclipse than many.

Spirยญiยญtuยญalยญly, I do not think these โ€œexactโ€ timยญings matยญter so much. I am much more process oriยญenยญtatยญed than event drivenโ€ฆI have witยญnessed the risยญing of an eclipsed Moon with the setยญting of the full Sunโ€ฆNow that is wonยญdrous to behold. Or a Full Moon risยญing at the Winยญter Solยญstice. Sigยญnifยญiยญcant cerยญeยญmonies and Sacred Iniยญtiยญaยญtions are held at these very imporยญtant alignยญments. This parยญticยญuยญlar eclipse is just such a beauยญtiยญful reminder of the largยญer forces at play around and through us that many in our modยญern world forยญget to acknowlยญedge, or experience!

For me, I wantยญed to point out to my readยญers that this area of space is speยญcial; that is from here that Rays emanate from the Galacยญtic Cenยญter, (whereยญin resides the Logos of our Uniยญverse). That is what we are lookยญing at tonight, and should pay homage to, when we look upon (or beyond) the Moon tonight. We are lookยญing to the Divinยญiยญty which ensouls our entire galaxy, the watchยญer waitยญing; the head of the Hierยญarยญchiยญcal Host of โ€œshinยญing onesโ€.
