Four Cor­ners mark the year-long dance around your Star; Four Sea­sons laid out in this Cir­cle of Light, Life and Love.

Two begin as Equinoc­tial, where Day and Night are equal, their por­tals marked by Aries and Libra, the Signs that begin your sea­sons called Spring and Fall.

Two begin as Sol­sti­tial, where Day and Night are most unequal, which begin with Can­cer and Capri­corn, the sea­sons you know as Sum­mer and Winter.

Sol­stice means “Sun Stands Still”, for it is at this time of the year that the Sun ceas­es to move fur­ther North or South in the sky, and begins to move in the oppo­site direc­tion. At either Sol­stice, the Sun will appar­ent­ly rise or set at the same point of the hori­zon for sev­er­al days. Then, on the third of fourth day after the exact Sol­stice, you can see that it has slow­ly begun to move back towards the oth­er Sol­stice point, (where it will arrive six months lat­er). So, for sev­er­al days, it appears as if the Sun is stand­ing still…and you and your world wait for a sign, for a turn­ing in this sto­ry of Light and Love.

Of course these turn­ings reveal the Earth’s bob­bing up and down on its axis, as it tilts towards or away from the Sun dur­ing one orbital sweep around your star. You are wit­ness­ing, what is for you, the fun­da­men­tal “Dance of Light and Love” that flows from the Lord of Light and shines upon you here on the Earth. It is this play of Light and Shad­ow that forms the fun­da­men­tal rhythms of Increase and Decrease, of Life and Death, the Sacred Cir­cle of Begin­nings and Endings…and Re-Begin­nings, that mark your jour­ney through the Cir­cle of Life and Light.

The Zodi­ac, which is known as the “Cir­cle of the Liv­ing Ones”, is dis­tin­guished and mod­u­lat­ed by the inter­play of two con­di­tions, by the Four Ele­ments and the Three Qual­i­ties, which com­bine to form the Sacred Twelve you know as the Signs. So far in this Zodi­a­cal Year you have been Inspired by the Car­di­nal Fire that is Aries; then you have expe­ri­enced your Sub­stan­ti­a­tion through the Fixed Earth of Tau­rus; and final­ly you have been brought into a greater Self-Aware­ness through the Muta­ble Air that is Gemini…

So now you come to this, to the next turn­ing in the Cir­cle of Life, you come to the last of the Ele­ments and to the begin­ning of yet anoth­er Sea­son. You, in some sense, “begin again”, (for your life is a cir­cle, or real­ly a spi­ral jour­ney, and there is no absolute begin­ning nor end, and you may mark any point on any Cir­cle or Spi­ral and see it as a begin­ning for you…and so it shall be). You begin again as you move into the next Car­di­nal Sign, for now you enter the Sacred Space of Cen­tered Feel­ing as you dive into the Car­di­nal Water sign that is Cancer.

For it is from Fire that you find your Vision or Inspi­ra­tion, and by Earth that you bring your vision into Real­iza­tion, and through Air that you come to Know and Under­stand. But, in the end, you need to bring these all togeth­er, you need to gath­er all of them as one, for this is “the way”, this is the way you and the Uni­verse tru­ly are, and you need to Feel your way and be as you tru­ly are…Whole and Fulfilled…Complete. You bring you and all of your expe­ri­ences togeth­er by Feel­ing the whole of you.

There are three modes of each Ele­ment, and so three “Ways of Feel­ing” to bring you to your whole­ness. In Can­cer, you con­nect to the roots of you, you go with­in to your Sacred Cen­ter, to your ori­gins and foun­da­tions. You look to your Fam­i­ly, to your Vil­lage or Tribe, to your Eth­nic­i­ty, to your Cul­ture and Traditions…and ulti­mate­ly to the One from whom all came. You feel your way back­wards in time, along the sil­ver chord of all your lives stretch­ing beyond all imag­in­ing; and, you will then mys­te­ri­ous­ly and mag­i­cal­ly feel your way ahead too, to what you are yet to be…

In Scor­pio you con­nect to the one (or the many) who is before you, you blow beyond the illu­sion that is sep­a­ra­tion and expe­ri­ence the won­der and mag­ic of “we”, of two becom­ing one, as you enter into the mys­tery of com­bi­na­tion, of trans­for­ma­tion, that sacred space of Alche­my and Rebirth, for it is here that you move into the realm that is the Union with one another.

And final­ly, in Pisces, you reach beyond this life, beyond any one life or form of life as your Spir­it awak­ens to the Greater Aware­ness of the “One Life in the One”. For thrilling through all the par­ti­cles and plan­ets, through all the spaces of Light and Shad­ow, what is the ulti­mate realm of this Cre­ation is there in the One Spir­it. And you come to your Faith-Filled Dream­ing nature, and you will know that all of this won­der that is Cre­ation, that it is the Body and Mind, it is the Heart and Spir­it, that all of this is the Love of the One, which is in truth the breath of life for one and for all.

So in this first of the three, in this Sacred Space that cel­e­brate the Waters of Life, take some time to look with­in, to feel the truth of the liv­ing pres­ence at the cen­ter of you. Whether it is found through your Father or Moth­er, through your Grand­moth­ers or Grand­fa­thers, in your tribe or band of broth­ers and sis­ters, wher­ev­er and through whomev­er you feel your kin­ship and your truth, you will also feel the deep­er and greater truth that all are ulti­mate­ly secured and cen­tered, all are root­ed by and through the one Life and by the one Love that is Spirit.

For your Secu­ri­ty and Cen­ter, the heart of you, is that you are made of and by one anoth­er, and you have been cared for and nur­tured by one anoth­er again and again, (for ages and ages). You are for each oth­er a gate­way to the cen­ter of the uni­verse which is tru­ly to be found with­in you as it is also there in every part of this won­drous home we call Cre­ation too.

If you fol­low your many roots, as you feel your way with these feel­ing-mem­o­ries-truths, as you go deep and deep­er, you will come to the very same cen­ter that is there for one and all. You are all relat­ed, you are all one with the One.

There in the heart of you, there is the heart of this uni­verse too…

For you came from the One, and

Your lives and love are the Song of Spirit.

You will find you way home,

As you under­stand that you nev­er real­ly left after all.

For you live for­ev­er in this Riv­er of Lives and Light,

As you trav­el the Sil­ver Chord of Radi­ant Splendor,

Singing songs of Spirit,

Mak­ing your way Home.

The Zodi­ac is the Twelve-Fold man­i­fes­ta­tion of Spir­it, and is also known in the Ancient Wis­dom as the Cir­cle of the Liv­ing Ones. For these twelve are the fun­da­men­tal artic­u­la­tions of the One Spir­it, which togeth­er form the Warp and Weave of this Universe.

The inter­play of their twelve Songs of Spir­it com­bines inte­gral­ly to form the Song of Life. These songs sweep through num­ber­less realms, through the Orders of Inner and Out­er Planes or Dimen­sions, form­ing a spi­ral­ing rhyth­mic pro­gres­sion of Hier­ar­chies stretch­ing below and above, so that the entire Cos­mos is filled with these Twelve-Fold Ener­gy-Forms, which in their entire­ty are the Life-Con­scious­ness-Spir­it of the One. All enti­ties, from the small­est atoms on up to the grand­est cos­mic group­ings of Galax­ies, all of these Ener­gy-Forms are the body of the One in motion…all are Divine sparks of Light, of the One, which holds them to one anoth­er and there­by unto itself by the force you know as Love.

Equal­ly, this move­ment of Spirt through Forms and Time is also the sto­ry of, it is the jour­ney and self-real­iza­tion of Con­scious­ness too. From the barest glim­mer of aware­ness to the super­nal realms of beings endowed with Cos­mic Con­scious­ness, all the Light-Forms of this Cos­mos are also slow­ly lift­ing them­selves and one anoth­er up to high­er and more encom­pass­ing realms of Understanding.

Today you move once more into the Realm of Gem­i­ni, today you cross again the Por­tal of Self-Aware­ness. To be aware that you are aware, to know that you are a know­ing crea­ture, to be endowed with this awe­some and yet most hum­bling Light of Self-Reflec­tiv­i­ty, this is the great step that has brought you that much clos­er to your Spir­i­tu­al Des­tiny, for you are here to be a Self-Con­scious Co-Cre­ator of this Creation.

It has been passed down in the teach­ings, that in the Age of Gem­i­ni, eons and ages ago, the Lamp of Under­stand­ing was lit for those humans in for­ma­tion then by their elder broth­ers and sis­ters, by those who are known as the Kumaras, who came to bestow this bless­ing. For this they are also known as the Light-Bear­ers, they are the bright­ly shin­ing ones who walked amongst us…they were the Prometheans, who gave of them­selves so that we might move into the greater Light of Under­stand­ing too.

Now, and for all the times to come, it is on each of us, in each and every life, to be this lamp of light to those with whom we trav­el. The striv­ing for your greater aware­ness and of your fel­low trav­el­ers depends upon this. Each one of us is like a small lamp in the dark­ness, shin­ing a light, your par­tic­u­lar point of view that forms your aware­ness of the Greater Reality…but, of course, it is very lim­it­ed. For as we shine our light upon the mat­ter at hand, we will also, inevitably, cre­ate a shad­ow as well. We see, but through a glass dark­ly and so partially…

It is by com­bin­ing our aware­ness, join­ing our lights togeth­er, by com­par­ing, con­trast­ing and blend­ing that we can trans­form and make more com­plete our under­stand­ing and theirs. Our dif­fer­ing per­spec­tives form dif­fer­ent beams of light that serve to reduce and will some­day remove all these ancient shad­ows from our sight.

This is how we will lift one anoth­er clos­er to the One Light of Truth. It is in the nature of Gem­i­ni to ques­tion, to be con­trary, to look at things this way, and then that way, and then yet anoth­er way…This is the Way, it is part of the Path towards Per­fec­tion, it is the Way of Intelligence.

This Ener­gy-Form of Gem­i­ni is found in all things, and in you. It is not just some day or month…it is always and for­ev­er present.

You are here to grow, to chal­lenge your assump­tions as well as the assump­tions of others.

You are human, and you were awakened…long, long ago.

Walk through the Por­tal of Gem­i­ni, each and every day…

Look with won­der upon your world…

Look to and Love one another…

Question…Everything.

The Way of Truth,

Stars in for­ma­tion, your Dia­mond Bod­ies are inspired, guid­ed and loved by,

Those who came this way before…long, long ago.

For stretch­ing out behind and before, and beyond your knowing,

There is only the One Real­i­ty, there is only Life-Consciousness-Spirit,

Revealed in this Self-lumi­nous Hier­ar­chy of Light and Love.

 

The Watch­ers will wait for you,

For that spe­cial sparkling ray,

The dawn of your understanding.

They will wait patient­ly and faith­ful­ly, for they know,

That you too will one day awaken…

It is your Destiny.

You will Know, and you will Understand…

And just so, like them, you will turn.

You will smile to those who fol­low, and

You will extend a help­ing hand.

 

These are the Keep­ers of the Flame, and

They will ever send their emissaries,

Many you know, most you do not, for they are,

The Teach­ers, the Wise Ones…the helpers,

Who in every world and life,

Lift the Veil and reveal the Won­der of this Cosmos.

They remind you, again and again,

That there is but one Life,

There is but one Spirit,

And all of this, and all of you,

Are here because of Love.

 

In this vast hier­ar­chy of Light and Love,

Among all the count­less beings who have come this way before,

Today we cel­e­brate and hon­or one of our “own”.

For today is the Day of the Bud­dha, the Self-Awak­ened One.

 

Why is the Bud­dha special?

Why?…Because he was the first.

He is the first of our kind to com­plete the task,

He is the Self-Awak­ened, a freed monad…a Jivanmukta.

He is the one who came before.

 

He stands now, at the por­tal of self-transcendence,

And will wait for each of you to make your way.

For this is the Great Sac­ri­fice, this is true love.

He waits for you to be ful­ly human,

He waits for you,

To be the Self-Awak­ened too.

 

Today is the Full Moon in the time of Tau­rus, it is the Full Moon of Scor­pio. All around the world there will be cel­e­bra­tions and cer­e­monies, for this is the fes­ti­val known as Wesak, this is the Full Moon of the Buddha.

The sto­ry we are told is that Sid­dhārtha was born at, achieved enlight­en­ment dur­ing, and final­ly left his mor­tal frame dur­ing such a full moon as tonight’s. Today, Seers, Teach­ers and Stu­dents will bow their heads and give thanks and praise to he who was the first to lift him­self out of spir­i­tu­al bondage, to become Self-Awak­ened, to become the first tru­ly Self-ful­filled human.

The Spir­i­tu­al mean­ing artic­u­lat­ed by any Full Moon con­cerns the inte­gral Truths formed by two Astrol­o­gy Signs, one for the Sun the oth­er for the Moon. No Sign can be tru­ly expe­ri­enced in iso­la­tion from any oth­er, they all form res­o­nances with one anoth­er, cre­at­ing a com­plex web of life and meaning.

We find our­selves now in the time of Tau­rus, and it is the most earthy or mate­ri­al­iz­ing moment in the Zodi­ac, the Cir­cle of the Liv­ing Ones. Though you are an Immor­tal, you will move from World to World, from Form to Form, and in Life after Life through mor­tal frames. As you move into these realms of the mate­r­i­al, you are able to learn and so to mas­ter your­self and your pow­ers of cre­ation. But you may also become too enam­ored of or attached to any one form…

And so you must equal­ly learn that in order for you to “walk on”, you must equal­ly strive to “let go…and grow”. This is a fun­da­men­tal part of the teach­ing that the Bud­dha offers, that there is noth­ing per­ma­nent or “last­ing” in these mate­r­i­al realms, they are all com­pos­ites, held togeth­er ulti­mate­ly by the Intel­li­gence, Love and Will that resides at the heart of every mote and speck of this Uni­verse. It is that Spir­i­tu­al Core or Essence which moves from World to World, through Life after Life. The vehi­cles or bod­ies must be free also to evolve into new forms, just as their Spir­i­tu­al Cen­ters like­wise grow into the greater splendor…So that each, the Spir­i­tu­al Heart and the Mate­r­i­al Body can be re-formed again and again into ever more mean­ing­ful forms of spir­i­tu­al self-realization.

This is what you need to con­sid­er today, that you are an Immor­tal in a Mor­tal frame, and that you are to move through these tem­po­ral realms with ever greater Intel­li­gence, Love and Will. You must hold; and You must let go. You breathe in; You breathe out. You learn to love and cher­ish the forms in which you abide, to love and pro­tect your­selves and your beau­ti­ful world too…but you are here to grow, so you must also release these won­drous forms and move into ever more sub­lime realms, for­ev­er and ever.

Today, tonight you should con­sid­er this Divine jour­ney of Life-Con­scious­ness-Spir­it, and join with many, many souls and recite, as will many fel­low seek­ers and aspi­rants, mas­ters and chelas, what is known as the Great Invocation:

 

THE GREAT INVOCATION

From the point of light with­in the Mind of God

Let Light stream forth into our minds

Let LIGHT descend on Earth.

From the point of love with­in the Heart of God

Let Love stream forth into our hearts

May LOVE increase on Earth.

From the cen­ter where the Will of God is known

Let pur­pose guide our wills

The PURPOSE which the mas­ters know and serve.

From the cen­ter which we call Humanity

Let the Plan of Love and Light work out

And may it seal the door

where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Pow­er restore the Plan on Earth.

The first ques­tion in the Book of Life is:

Who are you?

And the sec­ond, per­haps even more mys­te­ri­ous query will ever be:

What are you?

The Zodi­ac, the Cir­cle of the Liv­ing Ones, the Ener­gy-Forms that fill the spaces of space, that form (and inform) all of this Cre­ation (for know what your heart tells you is so, the whole Uni­verse is tru­ly “alive”), reveal and bestow the mean­ings, pur­pos­es and des­tinies for every mote and speck in this Cos­mos. For each and every mon­ad or par­ti­cle, from the most infin­i­tes­i­mal on up to unimag­in­able infini­ties, whether in min­er­als, plants or ani­mat­ed beings, in flow­ers and bees, in a sin­gle mol­e­cule or in the moun­tains, and moons and stars, and so also in each cell of your body, and most impor­tant­ly, abid­ing for­ev­er at the cen­ter and very high­est part of your being too, all of these ener­gy-forms have as their ensoul­ing core, all have as their most pre­cious heart, a self-lumi­nous spark of Divinity.

You are part of a vast Hier­ar­chy of Spir­it, which is upon a jour­ney of Con­scious­ness, of Life-Con­scious­ness-Spir­it mov­ing from states of aware­ness that begin with just the mer­est sense of being, on upwards to forms of un-self-aware con­scious­ness to ever more evolved and pur­pose­ful states of self-aware con­scious­ness. The entire­ty of Cre­ation is a spi­ral­ing chain of Life-Forms, of Spir­its mov­ing in and out of Mat­ter as each one, and then all togeth­er, jour­ney to ever greater reach­es of Spir­i­tu­al self-fulfillment.

You find your­self now in the Human King­dom, where a great chal­lenge and gift is offered to you. Here as “human” you have what greater beings and less­er can only imagine…you have the gift of choice. It is because you are here to dis­cov­er who and what you are, to under­stand like­wise who and what trav­els with you too, and you can only do this, as you learn by tri­al and error, through reach­ing up and falling down, and reach­ing up again…you learn what is good and what is less good. You are here to learn to lift your­self up, to con­scious­ly choose to con­tin­ue upon the path of Spir­it, to align your­self with your ori­gin and so hon­or the path that forms your destiny…you learn by fol­low­ing this cir­cuitous path of self-unfold­ment, you learn and choose what is good and true.

In Aries, wher­ev­er it is found in your chart, and when­ev­er you are in such a time and place that speaks of this, you are to learn again that in Aries you are here to find your true Self, to acknowl­edge “the pres­ence” with­in, to become aware of the “aware­ness of aware­ness” that watch­es over all that you were, are and are yet to be. It is your know­ing of know­ing, it is the first gate you must pass, the Por­tal of Spir­i­tu­al Pres­ence: “I am”.

Now in this time of Tau­rus, and when­ev­er and wher­ev­er you encounter this Liv­ing One, you are brought before the Sec­ond Por­tal of Spir­it to expe­ri­ence what you know as your man­i­fes­ta­tions, your mate­ri­al­iza­tions, your won­drous forms of embod­i­ment which serve you in what­ev­er world and dimen­sion you find your­self to be mov­ing through.

You are com­posed by a hier­ar­chy of vehi­cles of self-real­iza­tion. Descend­ing from the realm of pure Spir­it, you have a Spir­it Body, a Men­tal Body, an Emo­tion­al Body and then some form of Phys­i­cal Body too. But always, in each of these forms, and at the core of each of the innu­mer­able par­ti­cles mak­ing up these bod­ies, there is the pri­mal ener­gy-form, the essen­tial essence of all these Light-Forms, there abides the One, there you are one with the Divine.

This is the answer to your sec­ond ques­tion, of what are you? You are “THAT”, you are a spark of the Divine. And that as much as is it is with­in you, is you, it sur­rounds you too. You are a pre­cious par­ti­cle of Cre­ation, and as much as your core is a por­tal to the Infi­nite, being of and from the Divine, then too you will know that the entire­ty of Cre­ation is with­in you too! You are a Divin­i­ty mov­ing towards mas­tery, as is the entire­ty of Cre­ation so mov­ing too…The Illu­sion you must over­come is this appear­ance of sep­a­ra­tion, and the Greater Aware­ness to which you strive is to know and to live the Truth that there is but one Spir­it, one Con­scious­ness and one Divine Will.

That is why you are here, to learn, to grow, to under­stand and so to smile…to look with­in your­self and to “bow” to that divin­i­ty that is the core and true essence of you…And that is why you are here to equal­ly turn to your broth­ers and sis­ters, to revere all crea­tures, plants, moun­tains and stars…You are to turn to them all and bow your head in most joy­ful acknowl­edge­ment… and say the Bless­ing of Truth, which express­es this fun­da­men­tal One­ness of Creation:

“Namaste” (“I bow to the Divine with­in you”).

I am that, I am.

And to what End is it real­ly, real­ly after all,

What is this Jour­ney of Life-Con­scious­ness-Spir­it for?

 

You are here, as is all of Creation,

Rang­ing from the small­est Infinitesimal,

To the Hosts of Infini­ties above and beyond,

You and all the Lumi­nous Hosts of Life-Forms,

All move through a series of Dimen­sions, Worlds and Lives,

And it is all for one thing truly,

You are here quite sim­ply to Grow.

 

Each breath that you have,

Each step that you take,

Each life that you live,

Each love that you make,

Is Pre­cious.

For you are the “Self that is Becoming”,

A ris­ing Star in a Uni­verse of Stars.

 

As you dance through these Lives, Worlds and Dimensions,

Every moment is filled with promise,

For you are formed by the Light of the One.

Each turn in your life portentous,

For oth­er lives, even Worlds, hang in the balance.

But no step is per­haps more pre­cious than this one,

The next One,

The Now.

 

Today you step into the New Year,

Today you rise to the Song of Aries.

Your year begins with Fire,

With Ideals, Visions and Dreams.

Your Life and Lives are here today,

In this most won­drous moment,

Here in this most pre­cious Now.

 

For what you must understand,

Is that you are the Dream­ing Maker-Creator.

So that what you face today is quite simply,

What you made before.

But what comes Next,

That is on you,

It Depends upon you, and

You must become Aware.

 

For you can­not change what was,

It is Done.

And you can­not see what lies ahead,

For it is not yet ful­ly Formed.

It is here, and it is only here, where

You can and will be tru­ly Free.

 

So, it is real­ly up to you,

To be what you dream,

To become what you will be,

A radi­ant, Self-Illu­mined Star.

Turn towards this Dawn­ing of Days,

With­in and with­out, face your Cen­tral Star,

Do you know who you will be?

 

Will you greet your day with Kindness?

Will you lend a help­ing hand?

Will you plant your seeds of Healing?

Will you Smile, and Laugh and Love? Ah yes,

Now you Understand.

 

This is where it matters,

Here in the first of many steps.

Your Inten­tions and Motivations,

They will make real your Light-Filled Dreams.

You will take your­self, make yourself,

You will bring this Creation,

Into the Promised Land.

 

And that, that is why you are here…
