It’s that time again, to be “picky”, dis­cern­ing, circumspect…yes, even crit­i­cal. Venus enters Vir­go for over 3 weeks and your tastes are due for a tune-up. Enough with high-sound­ing ideals, bold plans and dra­mat­ic gestures…what works is what counts!

While Venus was in Leo you rev­eled in the worlds of cre­ativ­i­ty, lead­er­ship and love; and romance, well romance was every­where. Now you need to be “cor­rect­ed” (and of course you must do unto oth­ers as they will do to you); so it is time to cri­tique your cre­ation, improve your per­for­mance and refine your love.

Bring to bear your chis­el eye, your per­spic­u­ous point of view so that noth­ing is over-looked. Bring your love to the small­est of details, the refined nuances of taste, smell, touch, of sound and sight.

Your sub­tle­ty and that rapi­er wit will be in demand now, but show that you tru­ly care by help­ing one anoth­er to find “the bet­ter angels of your nature”. Offer your advice but be pre­pared to receive it too…

You are here to serve one another…with Love, always with Love.

How do you mea­sure your­self; how do you mea­sure any­thing? How do you know what you are “worth”; and how do you know what anoth­er means to you? How?

You went on a sim­i­lar jour­ney of dis­cov­ery with­in your­self in June; now the oppor­tu­ni­ty to grow seems to be tak­ing place between you and anoth­er. The align­ment of Venus and Nep­tune takes you beyond the beyond so that you might pon­der the source and sub­stance of Val­ue in your life.

Are you ready to lift the veil of Maya and see what is behind this Real­i­ty? Are you ready to step through the “Look­ing Glass” and see that there are many real­i­ties to con­sid­er? You (should) answer, “Yes of course I am”…for then you are ready to go on Posei­don’s ride into the depths of understanding.

Venus rules your Val­ues, your notion of what is good, wor­thy and beau­ti­ful. It rules what you need and want. By estab­lish­ing your hier­ar­chy of val­ues you are able to have the right rela­tion­ships with every­thing and every­one in your life. You know what you have, what you can give and what you must get.

Nep­tune rules Illu­mi­na­tion, the pow­er of Clair­voy­ance (Clear-See­ing), the pow­er that dis­solves bound­aries and opens you to the greater real­i­ty you real­ly exist in. You live in an appar­ent (to you) Uni­verse (which is lim­it­ed by your perceptions/assumptions); Nep­tune will con­tin­u­ous­ly keep open­ing the doors of per­cep­tion through­out your life to a greater, more encom­pass­ing real­i­ty called the Mul­ti-Verse, bet­ter known as Chaos (since that is how it appears to you with your more lim­it­ed consciousness).

That is what is real­ly “out there”; the Full­ness of the Glo­ry that is Cre­ation which you can only per­ceive in a lim­it­ed fash­ion. You can only encom­pass, hold to and see by your cir­cum­scribed point of view. Your growth depends upon expand­ing your aware­ness so that your per­cep­tion and under­stand­ing becomes more nuanced, more sub­tle, deep­er and truer.

As you do, you approach the “Truth”, but you can nev­er “touch” it. You become more val­ued as “Wise” to the extent that you also become more hum­bled. Your growth becomes real by let­ting go of your less­er sense of val­ue, your less­er sense of self, so that you might dis­cov­er the greater. Yet that very achieve­ment of a Greater Aware­ness is bal­anced and con­firmed by your ever wax­ing Humil­i­ty. For no mat­ter how far you have come, you still have very, very far to go.…

So, take this won­der­ful oppor­tu­ni­ty today to pierce through your mis­per­cep­tions, con­fu­sions and delu­sions of your own val­ue and worth that will be reflect­ed by and shown to you through your rela­tion­ship with anoth­er. Oppo­si­tions work like that; you see the “thing” or “issue” or “prob­lem” in the oth­er, but it is that “Look­ing Glass”, that mir­ror reflect­ing back upon you some­thing you need to see with­in yourself.

Look at that reflec­tion, imag­ine your­self mov­ing beyond, through the mir­ror and beyond the for­mer val­ues and assump­tions that lim­it you and that relationship…then you will per­ceive that greater space of under­stand­ing and say, “Ah hah! Now I see through a lens more clear­ly, the dark­ness is break­ing into dawn”.

And you smile and exclaim, “Now, I see You!”

And so you shall.…

Steady, steady…Okay, now you are mak­ing progress!

When your Desires, Aims and Actions (Mars) are steered by your Prin­ci­ples and Truths (Jupiter), you are going to expe­ri­ence pos­i­tive results. You are now able to make sig­nif­i­cant advances in under­stand­ing more about, as well as actu­al­ly mov­ing towards, your goals.

Mars is about 1/3 the way through Can­cer now, still seek­ing to meet your needs for find­ing your cen­ter, feel­ing more secure and being nur­tured. Jupiter in Tau­rus caress­es Mars with the under­stand­ing that in order for you to reach that cen­ter, in order to cre­ate that secure space you must first be ground­ed, (in both inner dri­ves and out­er goals), by sig­nif­i­cant, sub­stan­tial and tan­gi­ble val­ues. This greater under­stand­ing of your fun­da­men­tal truths will keep you in the right spir­it and on the right path. 

When you find the wind is at your back and the trail ahead is steady and sure, well then you are ready to shine indeed. Today cel­e­brate this felic­i­tous fusion of Action and Prin­ci­ple, of Ener­gy and Intention.

Triple Con­junc­tion Ahead!

Here is some­thing you will not see very often…and it is Beau­ti­ful to Behold…if you only had a van­tage point from which to see it! The radi­ance of the Sun is so strong that you can­not see Mer­cury or Venus because of the Sun’s glo­ry, but they are there, lined up with one anoth­er for you now…

The pic­ture below shows a view as if you were sta­tioned above the Sun look­ing down upon the orbits of the inner plan­ets. Earth is on the far left side, then comes Mer­cury, then the Sun, and on the oppo­site side of our Star is Venus. It is quite sim­ply just Beautiful!

“Ah you ask, but what does it mean?”

With the Sun, Mer­cury and Venus (and Earth) aligned, this is indeed a spe­cial moment for inte­gra­tion, under­stand­ing and answers. The Sun, Mer­cury and Venus are all mov­ing through Leo right now so the ques­tion and answers con­cern the Lessons of the Lion. Let’s tease apart this Star­ry Trip­tych to under­stand the mes­sage of the stars.

Sun/Venus
Aphrodite rules val­ue, beau­ty and love; aligned with the Sun (your “self”) she offers you an oppor­tu­ni­ty (lit­er­al­ly) for attune­ment, for the renewed appre­ci­a­tion and under­stand­ing of your val­ue and self-worth. This “Full Moon” of Venus and Sol re-affirms that the source of your val­ue in this Uni­verse, is also the source of Love that binds all as One; it is the Spir­i­tu­al Spark of the Divine Flame which resides in each and every Consciousness.

The Ancient Teach­ings tell us that every space is Sacred Space, from the most micro­cos­mic to the far­thest reach­es of the Cos­mos; and that what is with­in you also sur­rounds you. You exist in this Ocean of Con­scious­ness and that is why you are loved…because you are Love…because you are a sacred space in the Space that is Life-Consciousness-Spirit.

Mercury/Venus
Her­mes mov­ing “back­wards” over Venus is part two of our Trip­tych today. Mer­cury has been help­ing you to review, reassess and revise your thoughts as regards lead­er­ship, respect and love. Aligned with Venus, Mer­cury receives a bless­ing that re-affirms the true source and nature of your leadership-respect-love…that it comes down quite sim­ply to a con­scious acknowl­edge­ment and expe­ri­ence that love is not “out there” so much as it must be first expe­ri­enced “in here”.

Before you can lead out there you must see where you are com­ing from; before you can earn respect out there you must first see your­self; and before you will be expe­ri­ence true, mature and uncon­di­tion­al love out there you must first open your­self to your “Love” in here. This is what you will expe­ri­ence today.

Sun/Mercury
Final­ly, the third pan­el in our Star­ry Trip­tych brings Mer­cury over the Sun. This is the moment in the Mer­cury ret­ro­grade cycle that is most like a New Moon. It is the moment you have been wait­ing for since at least Mer­cury turned ret­ro­grade on August 2 (and prob­a­bly longer), for now you will receive an answer. Are you listening?

For Real­i­ty is such that the Spir­i­tu­al ener­gies and mes­sages of life, and of the Uni­verse gen­er­al­ly, oper­ate in sub­tle ways, in the “in-betweens”; you have to be aware of the whis­per in your ear or the touch of a feath­er more than a “shout out”. Your “self” as your teacher will not “cast its pearls before swine”, but will wait patient­ly for you to be ready, will­ing and able to “become the becoming”.

You must lis­ten now with your head, your heart and your soul. Turn away from the nois­es and dis­trac­tions around you, turn away from the mun­dane and towards the eter­nal and so lis­ten to your own true Self, your high­er Self who is always there seek­ing to guide you.

Today the mes­sage fol­lows the theme of the first two pan­els of our Trip­tych, (you are again remind­ed to align your­self with your Self). But now the empha­sis is on your thoughts about your­self. The Ideas you hold (or hold you), the thoughts that you think…you will become that. The great­est chal­lenge of this stage in human unfold­ment is the devel­op­ment of your mind…and your most impor­tant lessons require you to fol­low a prop­er “diet”…that is, you need to main­tain a prop­er men­tal diet!

The most impor­tant ele­ment of your men­tal aware­ness is that you must always seek to be inspired by your “Self” and so main­tain good thoughts about your­self. You are what you think…so think well! Today you will hear from your own true Self, from your high­er Self who knows you, guides you and loves you uncon­di­tion­al­ly and forever…listen to this mes­sage and then share it, for you need to spread the good word too… 

Remem­ber, you are nev­er alone, you will always be helped…and then you shall turn and help another…for that is “the way”.

Today cel­e­brate your Triple Attune­ment and gaze with won­der at the Beau­ty of your Star­ry Com­pan­ions who dance the dance of Spir­it as you jour­ney togeth­er along the Path­way of Light that is Life-Consciousness-Spirit.

The Full Moon of Leo (Sun in Leo, Moon in Aquar­ius) serves to illu­mi­nate the rela­tion­ship between your per­son­al need for self-expres­sion, (for cre­ativ­i­ty, lead­er­ship and love), and con­trasts that to your social need to belong, (to be with your friends, com­pan­ions and com­mu­ni­ty), so that you can ful­fill one anoth­er’s dreams.

With the Sun in Leo now you feel the need to stretch your­self, to go beyond the beyond, to dance in that sun­ny spot­light as you per-form, as you dare to go fur­ther, as you seek to be seen for who you are, to be loved for being you.

But as the Bard said “ay, there’s the rub”; you must do this all with­in the social web of your life, with­in your com­mu­ni­ty, with and through your com­pan­ions and friends. You seek to be “you”, but that very you has been formed and informed by the social con­text through which it came into being. You wish to be “true to your­self”, but you want to appre­ci­at­ed, rec­og­nized, respect­ed even hon­ored by your world. What is the prob­lem or chal­lenge with that?

If you too strong­ly express/stretch your­self to be unique you may lose the hon­or and respect you need, (you will be so unique, so “out there” as to lose the con­text and mean­ing that comes from your rela­tion­ships); yet if you too cal­cu­late and mod­i­fy your mes­sage so as to earn that approval, you risk becom­ing “untrue” to your­self, (you might get the applause, but it is for “some­one” else, and you know it).

From the Leo per­spec­tive, if you so empha­size the need to “be you” your audi­ence can­not offer you their appre­ci­a­tion because there is no bridge, no con­nec­tion between your real­i­ty and theirs, (for the very abil­i­ty to con­nect, appre­ci­ate and respond to one anoth­er is found­ed upon our see­ing our­selves in one anoth­er). From the Aquar­i­an point, if you so sub­merge and lose your iden­ti­ty in the group your con­tri­bu­tion becomes worth-less and you will find your­self cast out, (your friends and com­pan­ions will most like­ly sense that you are some­one whose spir­i­tu­al com­pass spins to fit the sit­u­a­tion and they may turn away from you).

The challenge/awareness posed by this Full Moon is about your need to be aware of this rela­tion­ship and the bal­ance between your indi­vid­ual “truth” and your social “sig­nif­i­cance”. You must have both, for one with­out the oth­er is hol­low. You must hon­or your­self and the social web too.

This Full Moon reminds us that we are Danc­ing the Dance of Life. At this moment in the dance, here and now, you must stretch your­self “Meaningfully”…And, you must join with oth­ers “Authen­ti­cal­ly”. It is not whether you are “to be, or not to be”; rather what mat­ters is for you to be true to your­self as a spark of the Divine, and equal­ly true to your com­pan­ions in this great jour­ney of Life-Consciousness-Spirit.
