Mer­cury unas­sist­ed pro­vides you with your observing/processing, categorizing/rationalizing, and com­mu­ni­cat­ing func­tions. What is so high­ly trea­sured (and so inap­pro­pri­ate­ly “mea­sured”) as Intel­li­gence is said to be ruled by your dear friend Hermes…

But what hap­pens when all your infor­ma­tion, all your data points, the­o­ries and knowl­edge fail you? This is your journey…and it is Good.

The Moon is said to be the inter­locu­tor or medi­a­tor between Heav­en and Earth. All the ener­gies and rays that pulse through our Solar Sys­tem must make their way to Earth through Luna. The most impor­tant of these ener­getic path­ways are the ones traced by the Mag­is­te­r­i­al dance enact­ed by the month­ly cycle of the Sun and the Moon.

Every month the Moon com­pletes one rev­o­lu­tion around the Earth, weav­ing from inside the cir­cle that the Earth traces around the Sun, to out­side of that orbit and back again…creating a series of small­er month­ly cir­cles along the line of the larg­er year­ly cir­cle of the Earth around the Sun. You see this dance traced across the sky as the Moon wax­es and wanes from month to month.

There are four prin­ci­pal moments in this month long cycle: The New Moon (a time of begin­nings) where a release of new ener­gy is brought about by the Solar/Lunar align­ment. The First Quar­ter or Wax­ing Square (a time of deci­sion, to com­mit), where the Moon cross­es the orbital path that the Earth makes around the Sun (what you would call a “half-moon”), which you will see clear­ly as the Sun sets and the Moon rides high in the sky above. The Full Moon (a time of rev­e­la­tion) which occurs when the Moon is oppo­site to the Sun with the Earth in-between, most dra­mat­i­cal­ly seen as the Sun sets in the West and the Moon ris­es in the East. The Last Quar­ter or Wan­ing Square (anoth­er time of deci­sion, to let go), where the Moon cross­es back over the orbital path of Earth, most beau­ti­ful­ly dis­played when just before the Sun ris­es you see the Moon rid­ing high above (but “fac­ing” the oppo­site direc­tion from the First Quarter).

And final­ly back to the Next New Moon…but you asked, “Where is the New Moon, how can I see it?” Well, you can­not because your view of the Moon is lost with­in the Sun’s glo­ry. (Except, per­haps, twice a year there is the pos­si­bil­i­ty of “see­ing” the New Moon when the Earth, Moon and Sun align exact­ly in what is called a Solar Eclipse.)

A New Moon is a “shad­owed” event, it hap­pens in the dark (or bet­ter yet, lost in the glo­ri­ous radi­ance of the Sun). For sev­er­al days after a New Moon you will watch the Sun set and there is no Moon in the sky…but on the third or fourth night you will see it as the thin cres­cent shape after the Sun has set…and it is then that you know, it is then that you have your con­fir­ma­tion, that yes indeed some­thing new has begun.

Today begins the next cycle of the Sun and Moon, today and tonight, and for the next sev­er­al nights, you must jour­ney with­out the Moon to indi­cate where you are in your month­ly cycle, of your begin­nings, deci­sions and revelations.

Today is the sec­ond New Moon of the Astro­log­i­cal Year, the New Moon of Tau­rus. You have come through the orig­i­nat­ing impuls­es of Aries, those Fiery Enthu­si­asms, your Visions and Ideals…Now they need to become Real.

You need to move deep­er, into Earth ener­gies now…to bring your Spir­it into forms…to man­i­fest the Val­ues that you hold dear…to taste, touch, smell, hear and see the Beau­ty that is your world.

It is the Tau­rus New Moon…Your Time to Dance the Dance that Cel­e­brates the Beau­ty of Spir­it, of Spir­it mov­ing through your mar­velous, won­drous ves­sels of Substance…It is your time for mak­ing the Greater Reality…it is your time to expe­ri­ence the won­der that is your Holy of Holies, the pow­er of Creation.

Tonight, as you look out into the Star­ry Heav­ens above, know that in these seem­ing­ly dark­er times a new Light has been released for you…

Because Spir­it is ever mov­ing to bring Light and Love to fill the spaces of Space…

So, today, and tomor­row, and for all the days to fol­low may you be com­fort­ed, may you be blessed…

The wheel of life turns…and you turn too, so as to face a New Sun ris­ing in the East…And you know, that it is time, it is time to take your­self deeper…time to go with­in and con­sid­er your next step in this, your jour­ney of discovery.

You have been through a time of Fire…of Inspi­ra­tions and Visions, of enthu­si­asms and plans for your future…but now you must under­stand what you have with­in you to make it become True.

Now you must move from con­sid­er­ing “Who You Are” to “What You Have”. Now you must come into the won­drous realm of Earth, you must touch and smell, taste and hear, and you will see what is of val­ue in your­self and around you too.

Now you come back to Earth, you come around the wheel into your time of Tau­rus. Those visions, those plans…they are excit­ing and grand, but here you walk upon a mate­r­i­al plane and you must take your ethe­re­al into the Real.

You are a cre­ator pos­sess­ing pow­er, pow­er deter­mined by your self-knowl­edge. You pos­sess the pow­er to make a world, to cre­ate your life after your own fash­ion. What you have, what you hold, is the val­ue of yourself…and what you make, what you cre­ate, is the val­ue that you give.

This is the jour­ney of Tau­rus, the jour­ney into the heart of you, into what makes you “You”. This is your jour­ney to secure your val­ue, to mea­sure what you have and what you can cre­ate. This is your jour­ney to the Foun­tain-Source of you…and what will be revealed is your true self-worth.

And the won­der of that revelation…

What you hold and what you will give…

Is beyond the pow­er of any instru­ment or imag­i­na­tion to measure…

For you are Spir­it whose jour­ney is ever unfolding…

And what you make is the nev­er-end­ing sto­ry of Creation.

Okay…now you’re mov­ing! Mer­cury has come ’round again and re-enters Aries for the next 3 weeks…You’ve been dream­ing and drift­ing, review­ing and recollecting…Now it is time for Action!

While in the Pis­cean seas your mind was swept along, through those many lay­ered dimen­sions of the Greater Mystery…now your mind is fer­vent, focused and filled with the Fires of Presence.

You take your delight in enthu­si­asms and eager­ness, in your flash­es of bril­liant insight and impetu­ous ide­al­ism. There’s no time to wait, it’s Thought-Action, imme­di­ate and inde­pen­dent. One-mind­ed, striv­ing to excel…yes indeed, your mind is on Fire!

It’s your com­pet­i­tive spir­it that dri­ves your mind into high zeal.…there is no hes­i­tat­ing for you, right?…But of course, by now, you know what you must do, you know the path you fol­low and whose foot­steps you seek to match…you need to slow down, you need to stay cen­tered and not go off with­out true understanding.

Yes, use that enthu­si­as­tic energy…but lose your impa­tient attitude!

Be bright and bold…but be wise too, and not so eager to claim your way as the truth!

Your mind is on fire, but let your spir­it keep you calm so that you may show intel­li­gence too!

Be wise, be gentle…and always, always…listen and learn…

Remem­ber, always remem­ber, that the most impor­tant sign of true wisdom…is humility.

A Reck­on­ing is at hand…You face the Light (and your Shadow)…It is your time to look back, and your time to look ahead. What have you done with your last six months; where should you go for the next six? It is Time to Stop, to pause in this moment between the Infi­nite and Finite, to trea­sure this chance to understand…because you need to consider…You need to take stock and con­sid­er your expe­ri­ence of Real­i­ty-Mak­ing thus far…You need to bet­ter under­stand the nature and rela­tion­ship between your infi­nite poten­tial and your lim­it­ed reality.

Today you have reached the turn­ing in this year’s expe­ri­ence of you becom­ing You, of your real­i­ty-mak­ing, of you mov­ing from your seed-form to harvest-home…Today you stand in the mid­dle, between the Sun and Sat­urn, between the Light Ever­last­ing and the Ring-Pass-Not found in those shad­ows that are Sat­urn’s bound­ed bands.

The Sun rep­re­sents all that you can ever become, your pure poten­tial wait­ing to be unfold­ed by you. To do this, on this mate­r­i­al plane, you must embody your­self into some “Thing” and so ful­fill your­self by form­ing and fill­ing some ves­sel of being­ness. But by so doing you also become lim­it­ed to that thing, bound to what you have made…you have left the worlds of dreams and fall­en into mat­ter (Sat­urn). Whether it be a job or a rela­tion­ship or any “thing” at all, you have made it for your­self, from your­self and it is there­fore lim­it­ed by your lev­el of understanding.

Now you need to look at that form of self-man­i­fes­ta­tion and com­pare it to your orig­i­nal intent. How ade­quate is your real­i­ty-mak­ing to your dream­ing? How does this real com­pare to your ide­al? Have you cho­sen well, have you per­formed (act­ed in a role and upon a stage) that is right, true and mean­ing­ful for you?

Well, unless you are a Bud­dha, you will and must answer that, “this “thing” is not what I intend­ed, this real­i­ty is not what I dreamed”. Of course it is not, how could it be?…For you are still learn­ing to be a co-cre­ator of this Universe…

But do not be troubled…This is your jour­ney and you must con­tin­ue to strive, to draw clos­er to the greater real­i­ty that is with­in you (ever-wait­ing for you to release it in a more per­fect form). To do this, you must learn from what you have done before, to under­stand what was right, and what could have been better…That is what this moment is for…to pause, to con­sid­er and to learn to become better.

Then, you can turn and face the Light and the Dark­ness and have that greater faith, the know­ing belief that pro­pels you to be a more per­fect Creator…

You will become what is with­in you…You will unfold more per­fect­ly the beau­ty that is with­in and make it the Real­i­ty around you too. You can accept these lim­its, those shad­owed bound­ed bands of Sat­urn, because you under­stand that they are the very instru­ment of your learn­ing, of how you unfold from poten­tial to being, of how you become the becoming…

Stand now between the Dark­ness and the Light…

Between What is and What will be…

Stand at the crossing…as you move from the Dark­ness into the Light.
