To be human…is to dream!

Anoth­er year around your star, and you find your­self once more in the super­nal realm of Pisces. At this time of the year, and liv­ing for­ev­er some­where in your Astro­log­i­cal chart, Pisces is where you encounter the mys­tery of you; Pisces holds the supreme won­der and promise of your spark of the Divine. The final gift from the “Cir­cle of the Liv­ing Ones” is the most pre­cious, for it tru­ly forms your Alpha and your Omega, the Foun­tain-Source of all your futures.

Wise ones know that every life you live is but one of many, and all your lives are like pearls strung upon a shin­ing sil­ver chord of spir­it, reach­ing far back beyond all know­ing and equal­ly stretch­ing for­ward into what has yet to be writ­ten in the stars.

At the end of every sto­ry of you is where you gath­er the seeds of the next. The har­vest of all your tri­umphs and stum­bles are brought togeth­er, and you come to under­stand that each part, the “good” and the “bad” as being nec­es­sary to the com­plete sto­ry that is you. You are mak­ing what you will become some­day; and by learn­ing what not to do is the very means by which you change.

Yes, it is by con­stant­ly let­ting go of the less­er and mov­ing into a greater form, that you real­ize that you are only present in one space; you are only here, for­ev­er, in the eter­nal now. You are the liv­ing instru­ment of becom­ing; you are “the way of becom­ing” on the path of what you are meant to be.

You grow and you change con­tin­u­ous­ly over the span of any one life. Then by fold­ing these expe­ri­ences into many, many lives, you slow­ly but sure­ly become ever stronger, ever gen­tler, acquir­ing true wis­dom that is matched by greater humil­i­ty. You lift your­self as you help one anoth­er too, and this is how you cre­ate the glo­ri­ous future that awaits us all.

For this is the “Great Work”, and the mak­ing of you is yours. The Great Law of Kar­ma is Per­fect, and that is why what you give is what you will get, and that what­ev­er you sow, so shall you reap. Your har­vest becomes the foun­da­tion for the next chap­ter with­in each life, and these sow­ings and reap­ings equal­ly shape the many lives you will live far into the future too.

This is the promise and pow­er of Spir­it, which is the lumi­nous Ener­gy-Form behind the entire­ty of Cre­ation: this whole Uni­verse is Alive; the Uni­verse is Con­scious; and every part of Cre­ation is the sto­ry of Spirit’s Jour­ney of Becom­ing, and you are a spe­cial part of the sto­ry, and at the cen­ter of one and all is the Spark of the Divine.

And now, hav­ing reached the King­dom called Human, you have joined the com­pa­ny of the Self-Aware. That lumi­nous, impelling, irre­sistible aware­ness is added to Spirit’s dri­ve to always grow and become some­thing more. Because of your awak­en­ing, the more uncon­scious­ly expressed need to be and become will now be guid­ed, shaped and real­ized by your “Choice”. You are mak­ing you, more and more over time, as a self-aware con­scious cre­ation. You are becom­ing a co-Cre­ator of Cre­ation, and you join a great celes­tial com­pa­ny now, mak­ing you into anoth­er shin­ing star among the many stars of Creation.

And here is the Pearl of Great Price held in Pisces. Pre­cise­ly because you are self-aware, because you are now able to bet­ter under­stand your­self and your world, you are more able to con­scious­ly con­nect with your “high­er self”. And it is because of this that you are able to move beyond your ordi­nary aware­ness, of mere­ly con­scious know­ing. You have awak­ened your intu­itive know­ing, so that you can lift the Veil of Isis. You are able to move beyond your low­er mind, to under­stand what is beyond ordi­nary know­ing. You have freed your con­scious­ness so that you can tru­ly dream and imag­ine “what might be”.

Yes, in Pisces your mor­tal­i­ty meets your immor­tal­i­ty, and the con­scious con­nec­tion with your “beloved”, the divine spark with­in you, allows you to lift your­self from a life lived fatal­is­ti­cal­ly to one lived by a “Liv­ing Faith”. You “know” because you feel the truth; you know a way beyond ordi­nary think­ing, because the inti­ma­tions and gen­tle reminders of your spark of the Divine enable you to face and over­come your great­est ene­my, fear.

Now you know that you have noth­ing to fear. Because you know, tru­ly know, that you are the Dream­er, who is mak­ing and liv­ing this life and this world. And no mat­ter what you have been, no mat­ter where you are now, you have with­in you the heart and the Soul of the Uni­verse to be and become so much more.

Yes, now that you are awake you are able have a Liv­ing Faith in your great­est gift which to imag­ine a bet­ter you, and to dream of a more lov­ing world for one and for all.

Now that you have awak­ened, now that you are ready, you can go forth and “make it so”.

Yes, in Pisces you find revealed the truth of what it means to be human; you are not to be dri­ven by desires and fears, by recrim­i­na­tions and shame. You are here because you dreamed, and you can use your imag­i­na­tion to dream bet­ter and make a more beau­ti­ful you and world again and again.

You have your faith, a liv­ing faith, and a know­ing that the sto­ry of human­i­ty is the sto­ry of mov­ing from fear to faith, from anger to love, and from the dark­ness into the ever­last­ing, eter­nal light.

This is who you are; and this is why you here.

Pisces is the final chap­ter, but also it is the begin­ning, over and over again.

This is your jour­ney, from dark­ness into the light.

You were made for this,

And you were made to shine!

Whence – Where – Whither

Before we attempt to lift the veil on 2020 and beyond, it is use­ful to review the themes and con­di­tions that pre­vailed dur­ing 2019. Some of these influ­ences were in effect for just that year, but many have been the “movers and shape-shifters” for years past, and most of these will con­tin­ue to shape our years ahead too.

Plu­to in Capri­corn – The End of an Age

The pas­sage of Plu­to through Capri­corn began in 2008 and will con­tin­ue into 2024, and I have not­ed many times that we find our­selves in a peri­od that res­onates with the pre­vi­ous pas­sages of Plu­to in this “Sign of the Insti­tu­tion­al Order”, (1762–1778 and 1516–1532). The Spir­i­tu­al, Polit­i­cal, Eco­nom­ic and Cul­tur­al Insti­tu­tions of our world, rang­ing from the most foun­da­tion­al (the fam­i­ly) to the most encom­pass­ing (Nation­al and Trans-Nation­al orga­ni­za­tions), whose sole pur­pose is to func­tion as the mech­a­nisms we cre­at­ed to meet our needs for one anoth­er, these very instru­ments are being bro­ken down. That is because the very type of world and the very type and struc­ture of needs we addressed through them has changed. We need to renew and reset what our needs tru­ly are; and, we equal­ly need to restruc­ture how we meet our needs for one another.

This is the End of an Age, and the Sys­tem that got us to “here”, can­not take us to “there”. Our present-day Insti­tu­tion­al order “solved” the issues fac­ing humans then. But those very “solu­tions” have become the threat to our human future, and per­haps for much of life on this plan­et too.

A New Order, a new Hier­ar­chy of Insti­tu­tions to meet human needs will even­tu­al­ly be cre­at­ed out of this peri­od of cre­ative destruc­tion. Just like in the 1500’s, and just like in the 1700’s, our time will be the end of an Age and wit­ness the birth of a New Age. Some insti­tu­tions will be reformed, some will be decon­struct­ed, and in many areas, we will need to fash­ion alto­geth­er new vehi­cles of meet­ing human needs just as we did in the 1500’s and in the 1700’s.

Plu­to is the avatar of Will, the vehi­cle for the expres­sion of Pow­er. The key to the right exer­cise of what­ev­er type of pow­er you have is to acknowl­edge that it is not “your” pow­er. Your true Pow­er comes from, starts with, Self-Con­trol, in being a cen­tered, spir­i­tu­al­ly aligned human. What­ev­er pow­er you assume through some office, whether that be as the head of a fam­i­ly, a com­mu­ni­ty, a com­pa­ny, region or nation, what­ev­er that pow­er is, it comes from that office and it is not yours; you are there not for your­self, you are in that posi­tion to work to meet the needs of whomev­er or what­ev­er you serve.

This has always been the test for every human in any age, to devel­op the under­stand­ing that the will is to be use first and fore­most for self-con­trol and for pro­tec­tion of your own sacred space, and it is nev­er to be used to force your way, even for the most right­eous of rea­sons, to nev­er use your pow­er to force anoth­er and bend them to your will. This is the spir­i­tu­al crime known as “Tres­pass­ing”, and while humans fail to abide by this law, we will con­tin­ue to “have hell on Earth”.

Nep­tune in Pisces – Lift­ing the Veil

In a way, the con­cur­rent tran­sit of Nep­tune through Pisces can pro­vide a con­text of mean­ing and a clear­er under­stand­ing with regards to this les­son of Plu­to in Capri­corn. Nep­tune moved into Pisces in 2011 and it will remain there until 2026. If we look at the pre­vi­ous pas­sage (1848–1862), we can bet­ter appre­ci­ate the influ­ence it brings to us at this time. (More­over, it is inter­est­ing to note, that a pre­vi­ous pas­sage of Nep­tune through Pisces over­lapped the Plu­to in Capri­corn peri­od of the 1500’s, so that may indi­cate that our peri­od has some greater res­o­nance with that par­a­digm shift).

As the les­son of Plu­to is to teach us the prop­er use of the Will, which is to use this pow­er and turn it back upon our­selves, to secure our own sacred space and cen­ter, to help us be a sacred, spe­cial one among many ones; while, equal­ly, Plu­to is there to remind us to nev­er use this pow­er to con­trol any oth­er nor let any oth­er con­trol us.

It is then for us to use our sacred­ly cen­tered selves secured by our will, to reach out to one anoth­er. We cre­ate shared sacred spaces of engag­ing with one anoth­er, which makes pos­si­ble our growth through comb­ing one anoth­er, by the use of our wills togeth­er in a mutu­al­ly agree­able and ben­e­fi­cial manner.

Neptune’s mes­sage is almost the “oppo­site”, or per­haps it is bet­ter to say that it reminds us of the para­dox­i­cal nature of true spir­i­tu­al under­stand­ing and liv­ing a life guid­ed by spir­i­tu­al­i­ty. While it is cer­tain the we must be respect­ful­ly “sep­a­rate from one anoth­er”, we must at the same time see through all are var­i­ous sep­a­ra­tions, bound­aries and bor­ders between one anoth­er and at the very same time live with the wis­dom an act towards one anoth­er hold­ing to anoth­er great spir­i­tu­al truth, that we are all in essence one with one anoth­er. Or as it is said, “We are all relat­ed”, and that if we bring harm to any­one at all, we will cause equal harm to our own true self too.

Nep­tune is the avatar of the Uni­ver­sal ener­gy-form that holds the entire­ty of cre­ation as it is. This is the Truth: There is but One Life, there is but One Spir­it, and One Mind, and it holds the whole of Cre­ation as one, (the many ones held as One), by the Ener­gy-form you know as Uncon­di­tion­al or Uni­ver­sal Love. Through this Ener­gy-Form, the bound­aries between the hier­ar­chies and ranges of enti­ties are tran­scend­ed, and it is this expe­ri­ence which is the true seed for your expe­ri­ence of com­pas­sion and empa­thy between one anoth­er and real­ly between all life-forms.

But just as the Will of Plu­to can be mis­ap­plied and lead to very destruc­tive con­di­tions, Nep­tun­ian ener­gies may trig­ger and pow­er, (by the mis­un­der­stand­ing or mis­ap­pli­ca­tion of this dissolving/transcending ener­gy-form), the rise of illu­sions, delu­sions and decep­tions. The grow­ing divide between var­i­ous peo­ples with­in com­mu­ni­ties, between regions and coun­tries, has cre­at­ed a cacoph­o­ny of con­fu­sion and mis­un­der­stand­ings, and the loss of agree­ment as to what is real. All of this is the unfor­tu­nate con­se­quence of what we are expe­ri­enc­ing glob­al­ly, which is a par­a­digm shift of under­stand­ing, a break­ing of an old spir­i­tu­al order because a new, more Inclu­sive Con­scious­ness is required now.

We are between an old real­i­ty and the dawn of anoth­er, and until this shift, our shift, is more com­plete, we are expe­ri­enc­ing events through frac­tured lens­es. We are hold­ing to, or being held by, extreme­ly con­trary points of view, and so we live in very dif­fer­ent real­i­ties and our mutu­al under­stand­ing has become bro­ken and sun­dered from one anoth­er. Indeed, as William But­ler Yeats wrote in The Sec­ond Com­ing, “…the “cen­ter can­not hold; mere anar­chy is loosed upon the world…The best lack all con­vic­tion, while the worst are full of pas­sion­ate inten­si­ty”. To those who look upon our careen­ing world, there seems to be no way to cre­ate or find a cen­ter for us all to hold to, for there is none with­in us to be found.

But we have been here before, and our ances­tors found a way, they returned to “The Way”. At times like these, but tru­ly always and for­ev­er, it is very impor­tant to keep your­self cen­tered upon “your True Self”, and to the eter­nal and sacred truths which are in your heart and form the very foun­da­tions for all Ener­gy-Forms through­out this Uni­verse. The Truth is in you, and it sur­rounds you too. Lis­ten to your calm, clear intu­ition when in doubt. Lis­ten to your heart, and you will always take care of your­self and one anoth­er. Fol­low the ways of the “Lone­ly Ones”, who hold true to the path of love and right­eous­ness. You will find the path in the sacred texts at the heart of every reli­gion, and equal­ly in the wise coun­sel shared in the heart-teach­ings of all phi­los­o­phy, and most impor­tant­ly, by lis­ten­ing to you own com­mon sense and lov­ing heart, you will find your way to “the Way”.

As I said last year at this time, and this will always be so:

Be guid­ed by the Wise Ones, who know there is no reli­gion high­er than Truth.
Walk the path of the Great-Souls, who prac­tice the Wis­dom of Love.
Find inspi­ra­tion in the Lone­ly Ones, their Will­ing-Sac­ri­fice hon­ored by
the Angels and Devas above.
Lis­ten for the Voice of the Silence, attend the gen­tle whis­pers in your Heart,
And you will find “The Way”.

Next, “Where are we now?”

Why are you here? Where are you going? And what, what is your True Purpose?

Many wise and great souls have pon­dered these ques­tions. The Ancient Wis­dom, of which Astrol­o­gy is a most impor­tant key, might very well answer with this:

You are here for one rea­son, to become a bet­ter human.
You are on a path of awak­en­ing that leads to true freedom.
Your pur­pose is to free your­self, as you equal­ly do this for one anoth­er too.

Yes, as the Wheel of Life that is the Zodi­ac turns once more, you are remind­ed of this most impor­tant truth, you are not you, you could not even be human, with­out all with whom you jour­ney on the shin­ing path of Spir­i­tu­al Awakening.

You have reached the heights in Capri­corn and have arrived at a greater lev­el of per­son­al Self-Mas­tery. You have lift­ed your under­stand­ing, and so guid­ed by Right-Think­ing and Love, you have act­ed pur­pose­ly to ful­fill your right­eous respon­si­bil­i­ties. You per­formed your sacred duties; you upheld your posi­tion and you have earned your just reward. You are part of a sacred hier­ar­chy, and your life-work-love is so very pre­cious, as it is one more spark that forms the Divine light. This is your truest respon­si­bil­i­ty, that you are part of this Light of Love that holds the Uni­verse togeth­er as One.

But this Jour­ney of Becom­ing is tru­ly ever­last­ing, and as you reach ever deep­er with­in your­self to under­stand who you are, you will com­men­su­rate­ly extend your­self fur­ther out in time and space too. You must under­stand that your work is not done by just cher­ish­ing and pre­serv­ing what has been; you are not here mere­ly to pass on what has been achieved.

You are here for what is to come.
You are here to be the seed of what is yet to be.

This is the promise and pur­pose of Aquar­ius. In this time of Aquar­ius, and equal­ly some­where in your chart, there shines the light of the future. It holds the dream of bet­ter days and laugh­ter, of clear hori­zons and star-filled won­ders. You are here to go beyond what made you, “you”; to seek beyond these some­times dim lit realms of today that are shad­owed by the weight of it might have been. You are here to forge a bet­ter world as you make a bet­ter you.

Your respon­si­bil­i­ties and duties, of keep­ing faith with what has been accom­plished and made pre­cious in Capri­corn will always remain. These “real­i­ties” form the sub­stan­tial core of your own life, as they equal­ly form the hier­ar­chy of all the many life-forms with whom you jour­ney. But now you must look ahead and con­sid­er what is the larg­er pur­pose of any one life, to expe­ri­ence and make real what is here and held in the realm that is Aquarius.

You will see it in the eyes of your dear­est loves and truest friends, and then with all who share with you these greater dreams of a bet­ter tomor­row. The truth is so plain that we feel its warmth in our heart and hear that qui­et gen­tle voice of our soul, and it is sim­ply the joy­ful and sim­ple, but pro­found truth, “that we are here for one another”.

We are here to ful­fill our very own dreams which are tru­ly and equal­ly made of one anoth­er; we are here again among our dear ones, our sacred band of fel­low seek­ers. Yes, you are here right now, you are exact­ly where you belong, because you are made by and for one anoth­er, and you can only be and become the very future you dream about with your very dear ones, with your con­stant com­pan­ions, with your stead­fast and faith­ful friends.

You are all part of one anoth­er because what made you, in this life and in all your lives before, came from the many expe­ri­ences you have had with one anoth­er. Your great­est illu­sion is that you are sep­a­rate from one anoth­er, and that you need to cre­ate a con­nec­tion between one anoth­er. But the real­i­ty is that you are bound and bond­ed to one anoth­er from the begin­ning unto the end. The Truth is that you are all mixed up with, forged and formed, and so made of one anoth­er. All your sen­si­bil­i­ties, thoughts, feel­ings, aspi­ra­tions and dreams, all those things that you think are yours are part of the same real­i­ty you share with one and all. You are less an “I” and more a “We” than you know.

And, what do you real­ly want for your­self, and what do you want for those you love? You want to be hap­py; and you want them to be hap­py too. But what is “Hap­pi­ness”?

Hap­pi­ness is the expe­ri­ence of Self-Ful­fill­ment.

For any of us to expe­ri­ence hap­pi­ness, we need one anoth­er. For how could you pos­si­bly be ful­filled if oth­ers are not; how could you be tru­ly hap­py, if you do not care for one anoth­er? You see your own hap­pi­ness in the smiles and laugh­ter of your fel­low com­pan­ions; their hap­pi­ness is yours, and yours is theirs.

You are for one anoth­er, in the lives you live with and for one anoth­er, the very means to one another’s self-ful­fill­ment and expe­ri­ence of true happiness.

For it is in mak­ing a bet­ter future pos­si­ble for now and for the future, it is by this that you ful­fill your des­tiny to become a con­scious co-cre­ator in the won­der that is Creation.

Aquar­ius is the promise that our bet­ter days are yet to be. That broth­er­hood, sis­ter­hood, tol­er­ance and uncon­di­tion­al love for one anoth­er is tru­ly what it means to be human.

That is why, the “heart of the teach­ing” will always be:

“Love One Another”

May it be, make it so.
Love one another.
