As we move into 2024, it is time for us to con\u00adsid\u00ader what Astro\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal con\u00addi\u00adtions will pre\u00advail dur\u00ading this year and beyond. The major plan\u00ade\u00adtary align\u00adment of this year includes the first major aspect of Sat\u00adurn to Plu\u00adto since their last con\u00adjunc\u00adtion in Jan\u00adu\u00adary 2020, which is a semi-square that is exact in May, Sep\u00adtem\u00adber, and Jan\u00adu\u00adary of 2025. 2024 will also be the final year of Pluto\u2019s tran\u00adsi\u00adtion from the sign of Capri\u00adcorn to Aquar\u00adius, and it will the final full year for both Nep\u00adtune in Pisces before it tran\u00adsi\u00adtions to Aries, and final full year for Uranus in Tau\u00adrus before it tran\u00adsi\u00adtions to Gem\u00adi\u00adni. Those shifts indi\u00adcate that we will cer\u00adtain\u00adly be in a much dif\u00adfer\u00adent world by 2025 and beyond.<\/p>\n

This year will also have the usu\u00adal repeat\u00ading phe\u00adnom\u00ade\u00adna of the Solar and Lunar eclipses, three Mer\u00adcury in ret\u00adro\u00adgrades, and Jupiter chang\u00ading signs. I will do anoth\u00ader show soon where we will look at some of the major nation\u00adal and lead\u00ader\u00adship charts to see what we might under\u00adstand about the year ahead from that per\u00adspec\u00adtive as well.<\/p>\n

Sat\u00adurn semi-square Pluto<\/strong>
\nThe most impor\u00adtant aspect in the heav\u00adens this year is the first align\u00adment of Sat\u00adurn with Plu\u00adto since their con\u00adjunc\u00adtion or \u201cnew moon\u201d of Jan\u00adu\u00adary 2020. The cycle of Sat\u00adurn and Plu\u00adto, from con\u00adjunc\u00adtion to con\u00adjunc\u00adtion, lasts from between 33 to 38 years, and it con\u00adcerns the inte\u00adgral bal\u00adance between Order (Sat\u00adurn) and Will (Plu\u00adto), or Struc\u00adture and Sacred Space, or Spir\u00adit mate\u00adri\u00adal\u00adized and the Alchem\u00adi\u00adcal force that is behind the entire\u00adty of Cre\u00adation. In Mun\u00addane or World\u00adly Astrol\u00ado\u00adgy, this cycle informs the birth\/death\/rebirth of new polit\u00adi\u00adcal, eco\u00adnom\u00adic, and social struc\u00adtures. Often the cycle begins with the end\u00ading of some kind of order, a break\u00addown and then a rebuild\u00ading of the ways of the exer\u00adcise of pow\u00ader through struc\u00adture, of the ways in which order and dis\u00ador\u00adder and reorder echo down the ages. The most recent con\u00adjunc\u00adtions have been:<\/p>\n

The first of the 20th<\/sup> cen\u00adtu\u00adry occurred in 1914<\/strong>, with World War I which we could see as the penul\u00adti\u00admate war in the his\u00adto\u00adry of col\u00ado\u00adniza\u00adtion. The sub\u00adse\u00adquent semi-square of 1918 brought the end of that war but also the great Influen\u00adza epi\u00addem\u00adic of 1918\u20131919. The con\u00adjunc\u00adtion of 1947\u201348<\/strong>, saw the real begin\u00adnings of decol\u00ado\u00adniza\u00adtion, with the par\u00adti\u00adtion of India and Pak\u00adistan, the emer\u00adgence of Chi\u00adna final\u00adly free from for\u00adeign con\u00adtrol, but also the estab\u00adlish\u00adment of the state of Israel. The sub\u00adse\u00adquent semi-square in 1951 saw the Kore\u00adan War, and many oth\u00ader South Asian and African wars of post-colo\u00adnial strug\u00adgles; the Saturn\/Pluto con\u00adjunc\u00adtion of 1982\u201383<\/strong> saw Israel invade Lebanon, (which it did not com\u00adplete\u00adly leave until 2000), but also the \u201cbirth\u201d of the inter\u00adnet, and a num\u00adber of mil\u00adi\u00adtary gov\u00adern\u00adments being replaced by civil\u00adian ones in as in Argenti\u00adna and Turkey. The sub\u00adse\u00adquent semi-square in 1988 saw the first inter\u00adnet virus, and the begin\u00adning of the end to the Iron Cur\u00adtain and cold war as the Sovi\u00adet Union tried to open up its eco\u00adnom\u00adic sys\u00adtem and Hun\u00adgary opened up to trav\u00adel between the east and the west.<\/p>\n

Now we have our most recent con\u00adjunc\u00adtion of 2020<\/strong>, and we have cer\u00adtain\u00adly expe\u00adri\u00adenced the struc\u00adtures and sys\u00adtems around the world being over\u00admatched and over\u00adwhelmed by a world-wide pan\u00addem\u00adic. We have been made aware how our sys\u00adtem of meet\u00ading human needs by means of an intri\u00adcate glob\u00adal trade struc\u00adture has been proven to be vul\u00adner\u00ada\u00adble and lack\u00ading in resilien\u00adcy. The very way in which we have become inter\u00adcon\u00adnect\u00aded and inter\u00adde\u00adpen\u00addent, both mate\u00adri\u00adal\u00adly and vir\u00adtu\u00adal\u00adly, has over\u00adwhelmed and thrown into dis\u00adre\u00adpute the gov\u00adern\u00ading insti\u00adtu\u00adtions with\u00adin and between nations, as what had been assumed to be a uni\u00adver\u00adsal lib\u00ader\u00adal polit\u00adi\u00adcal and eco\u00adnom\u00adic order has been bat\u00adtered and some\u00adtimes shat\u00adtered by forces of reac\u00adtion and rev\u00ado\u00adlu\u00adtion, by extrem\u00adists on the right and the left. What we are see\u00ading around the world is a glob\u00adal expe\u00adri\u00adence of Mil\u00adlen\u00adni\u00adal move\u00adments, whose adher\u00adents either want to return their world to a myth\u00adic \u201cgold\u00aden age\u201d, or to a final judge\u00adment in which their fol\u00adlow\u00aders will be spared and exalted.<\/p>\n

What this year\u2019s semi-square may hold for us, there is tru\u00adly no way to know for cer\u00adtain. All we can know is that the essen\u00adtial inter\u00adde\u00adpen\u00adden\u00adcies and inter\u00adcon\u00adnec\u00adtiv\u00adi\u00adties of the nat\u00adur\u00adal world, the beau\u00adti\u00adful yet vul\u00adner\u00ada\u00adble hier\u00adar\u00adchy of nature\u2019s ecosys\u00adtems, com\u00adbined with the effects of our eco\u00adnom\u00adic world dri\u00adven by infi\u00adnite con\u00adsump\u00adtion on a finite plan\u00adet are grow\u00ading not fad\u00ading. We will cer\u00adtain\u00adly expe\u00adri\u00adence ever greater waves of dis\u00adtur\u00adbances, mass migra\u00adtions of peo\u00adples flee\u00ading cli\u00admate dis\u00adas\u00adters and insti\u00adtu\u00adtion\u00adal fail\u00adures, and this inescapable real\u00adi\u00adty is being brought to bear as the pri\u00adma\u00adry and exis\u00adten\u00adtial chal\u00adlenge fac\u00ading human\u00adi\u00adty is the threat of cli\u00admate change, a trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion of our world that we have cre\u00adat\u00aded, and which is becom\u00ading ever weird\u00ader and wilder.<\/p>\n

The Out\u00ader Planets<\/strong>
\nBut we must always remem\u00adber that the plan\u00ade\u00adtary indi\u00adca\u00adtions from Uranus, Nep\u00adtune and Plu\u00adto are still the major shapers for any peri\u00adod of his\u00adto\u00adry. We have looked at them recent\u00adly, and we will look at them again in a lat\u00ader show, but we need to remem\u00adber that we are at the cusp of three major tran\u00adsi\u00adtions. Plu\u00adto is mov\u00ading into Aquar\u00adius in 2024 until 2044, Nep\u00adtune is begin\u00adning its move into Aries next year until 2039, and Uranus is begin\u00adning its move into Gem\u00adi\u00adni next year until 2033. The last time Plu\u00adto was in Aquar\u00adius was 1778 to 1798, the same time as the Amer\u00adi\u00adcan and French Rev\u00ado\u00adlu\u00adtions and Napoleon Bona\u00adparte. The last time Nep\u00adtune was in the sign of Aries was 1862 to 1875, encom\u00adpass\u00ading the US<\/span> Civ\u00adil War and Recon\u00adstruc\u00adtion. The last time Uranus was in Gem\u00adi\u00adni was 1935 to 1942, the first half of the Sec\u00adond World War. As much as we may have been frus\u00adtrat\u00aded by the rigid\u00adi\u00adty between groups and fac\u00adtions over the past many years, these shifts of the major plan\u00adets will mean that we are going to see a rearrangement\/realignment of issues and peo\u00adples from 2025 onwards.<\/p>\n

With so many out\u00ader plan\u00adets mov\u00ading into new signs, the com\u00adbi\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal or ener\u00adgetic spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal vibra\u00adtions will cre\u00adate new oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties (and new solu\u00adtions) to our present-day chal\u00adlenges. But they will also nec\u00ades\u00adsar\u00adi\u00adly give rise to new prob\u00adlems too. It is upon each one of us to under\u00adstand the mean\u00adings and mes\u00adsages of the plan\u00adets, but most espe\u00adcial\u00adly remem\u00adber the fun\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal truths and wis\u00addom that should guide our thoughts and shape our actions year after year. If we can remain cen\u00adtered by the ever\u00adlast\u00ading truths, then we will be able to respond much bet\u00adter to these plan\u00ade\u00adtary influ\u00adences and not react with fear.<\/p>\n

Eclipses<\/strong>
\nNor\u00admal\u00adly every year we will have two Solar and two Lunar eclipses, and this is also true for 2024, with a Lunar eclipse on March 25, a Solar eclipse on April 8, a Lunar eclipse on Sep\u00adtem\u00adber 18, and a Solar eclipse on Octo\u00adber 2.<\/p>\n

Solar eclipses are more sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant, and their influ\u00adence can be expect\u00aded to last until the next Solar eclipse around six months lat\u00ader, until the next Solar eclipse. The Lunar eclipses are under\u00adstood to influ\u00adence the next 30 days, until the next full Moon.<\/p>\n

Solar and Lunar eclipses hap\u00adpen when the orbital posi\u00adtion of the Earth around the Sun, and the orbital posi\u00adtion of the Moon around Earth match up so that either the Moon cre\u00adates a shad\u00adow by block\u00ading out the Sun (at the New Moon), or the Earth cre\u00adates a shad\u00adow that falls upon the Moon when it is full.<\/p>\n

The March 25th<\/sup> penum\u00adbral lunar eclipse, which means the Moon only enters the penum\u00adbra of the Earth\u2019s shad\u00adow and just dims, hap\u00adpens around 3 am EDT<\/span> at 5 degrees and 7 min\u00adutes in Libra, and weath\u00ader per\u00admit\u00adting it will be vis\u00adi\u00adble in the USA<\/span>. If you have any plan\u00adet or chart angle around this degree, it will be impor\u00adtant to con\u00adsid\u00ader its mean\u00ading for the next month or so.<\/p>\n

The April 8th<\/sup> total solar eclipse is exact at 2:20 pm EDT<\/span> at 19 degrees and 24 min\u00adutes of Aries, and the eclipse path of total\u00adi\u00adty will sweep across the USA<\/span> from the south\u00adwest to the north\u00adeast. If you have any plan\u00adet or chart angle around this degree, it will be very impor\u00adtant to con\u00adsid\u00ader its mean\u00ading to you for the next six months, and the area of your chart it falls in will be high\u00adlight\u00aded for that same period.<\/p>\n

The path of total\u00adi\u00adty will sweep from Mex\u00adi\u00adco and into Texas, then up through Arkansas and Mis\u00adsouri into South\u00adern Illi\u00adnois, and into Indi\u00adana and Ohio, then on into west\u00adern New York and through north\u00adern Ver\u00admont and New Hamp\u00adshire, through Maine before final\u00adly end\u00ading in the east\u00adern provinces of Canada.

I had actu\u00adal\u00adly men\u00adtioned this eclipse in 2017, because in August of that year we had anoth\u00ader total eclipse sweep across the USA<\/span> from the north\u00adwest to the south\u00adeast, start\u00ading in Ore\u00adgon and arch\u00ading through the Mid\u00adwest and inter\u00adsect\u00ading the 2024 eclipse in south\u00adern Illi\u00adnois and mov\u00ading fur\u00adther south\u00adeast to exit in South Carolina.<\/p>\n

It seems rather sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant to me, and I am sure to many oth\u00aders, that the USA<\/span> will have expe\u00adri\u00adenced two total Solar eclipses, 7 years apart, that form a per\u00adfect \u201cX\u201d cen\u00adtered just east of the con\u00adti\u00adnen\u00adtal cen\u00adter of the USA<\/span>, and actu\u00adal\u00adly right on the medi\u00adan spot for pop\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion of the USA<\/span>. The Sep\u00adtem\u00adber 17th<\/sup> par\u00adtial lunar eclipse, which means the Moon enters most of the full shad\u00adow of the Earth, but a small cres\u00adcent appears on one side, is exact at 10:34 pm at 25 degrees and 41 min\u00adutes of Pisces, and weath\u00ader per\u00admit\u00adting will be vis\u00adi\u00adble in the USA<\/span>. If you have any plan\u00adet or chart angle around this degree, it will be impor\u00adtant to con\u00adsid\u00ader its mean\u00ading for the next month.<\/p>\n

Final\u00adly, the Octo\u00adber 2 annu\u00adlar solar eclipse, which means the Moon is a lit\u00adtle too far away from the Earth, so that a small ring of sun\u00adlight, which is called the \u201cannu\u00adlus\u201d, is seen around the Moon and is exact at 2:49 pm EDT<\/span> at 10 degrees and 4 min\u00adutes of Libra. It begins in the Cen\u00adtral Pacif\u00adic and arch\u00ades down to South Amer\u00adi\u00adca pass\u00ading through south\u00adern Chile and Argenti\u00adna. If you have a sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant plan\u00adet of chart angle around 10 degrees of Libra, you will expe\u00adri\u00adence this area of your life becom\u00ading more con\u00adse\u00adquen\u00adtial for the next six months.

Mer\u00adcury Retrogrades<\/strong>
\nLet us now con\u00adsid\u00ader the Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrades for 2024. Usu\u00adal\u00adly, we will have three Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrades in a year, and that is true for 2024. Of course, we did begin this New Year with Mer\u00adcury turn\u00ading direct on Jan\u00adu\u00adary 1, as it had been ret\u00adro\u00adgrad\u00ading since Decem\u00adber 13th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

The mean\u00ading and mes\u00adsage of each ret\u00adro\u00adgrade peri\u00adod will be indi\u00adcat\u00aded by what sign or signs Mer\u00adcury is mov\u00ading back\u00adwards through, and for each of us indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly by what house or hous\u00ades of your chart it is mov\u00ading through as well.<\/p>\n

No mat\u00adter what, the Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrade peri\u00adod presents an oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty for every\u00adone to become more reflec\u00adtive and pen\u00adsive, more drawn to and more able to take advan\u00adtage of this time of intro\u00adspec\u00adtion, so as to help clear up poor think\u00ading or com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion by self-crit\u00adi\u00adcal analy\u00adsis. The first Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrade of 2024 begins on April 1st<\/sup> and ends on April 25th<\/sup>, with Mer\u00adcury mov\u00ading from 27 degrees of Aries back to 16 degrees of Aries. What\u00adev\u00ader area of your chart this involves, by which I mean what\u00adev\u00ader house or house it is mov\u00ading through and what plan\u00adets it may con\u00adtact, you will find it impor\u00adtant or nec\u00ades\u00adsary to review and revise your thoughts about this area of your life. Jupiter<\/strong>
\nThe plan\u00adet Jupiter is the largest in our solar sys\u00adtem and com\u00adpletes an orbit of the Sun rough\u00adly every 12 years. That means Jupiter will spend about one year in each sign. Since May 16, 2023, Jupiter has been in the sign of Tau\u00adrus. It will enter Gem\u00adi\u00adni on May 25, 2024, and remain there until it moves into Can\u00adcer on June 9, 2025.<\/p>\n

Jupiter is the path\u00adway to and the ves\u00adsel of Truth, whether those truths be Spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal or Meta\u00adphys\u00adi\u00adcal or Sci\u00aden\u00adtif\u00adic or Cul\u00adtur\u00adal. What\u00adev\u00ader sign your Jupiter is in your chart, it will indi\u00adcate the type of truths you will guide your life by, and the path\u00adway you will fol\u00adlow to reach a greater under\u00adstand\u00ading. But just as there are many paths that will lead us to our even\u00adtu\u00adal awak\u00aden\u00ading, we should be open each year to the var\u00adi\u00adous forms of truth that Jupiter will hold for us as it moves through the signs.<\/p>\n
