As we move into the last weeks of 2022, I thought it would be help\u00adful to look ahead and see what 2023 holds for the Astro\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal con\u00addi\u00adtions we will be expe\u00adri\u00adenc\u00ading. Although there are no major out\u00ader plan\u00ade\u00adtary align\u00adments to one anoth\u00ader, no Sat\u00adurn square to Jupiter, or Uranus with Plu\u00adto, there are major shifts that we will be encoun\u00adter\u00ading in the months ahead. These include Plu\u00adto begin\u00adning to move into the Sign of Aquar\u00adius after hav\u00ading been in Capri\u00adcorn since 2008, and Sat\u00adurn mov\u00ading from Aquar\u00adius into Pisces. Before we exam\u00adine these longer-term shifts, let us look at the year\u00adly phe\u00adnom\u00ade\u00adna of the Lunar and Solar Eclipses, the Mer\u00adcury Ret\u00adro\u00adgrades as well as the next Venus Ret\u00adro\u00adgrade too.<\/p>\n

Eclipses<\/strong>
\nTyp\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly, we expe\u00adri\u00adence two Lunar and two Solar eclipses in any year, and this year we will that two of each type in the months of April, May, and Octo\u00adber. The Solar eclipses are always to be con\u00adsid\u00adered as more sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant, and Astrologers often con\u00adsid\u00ader their influ\u00adence to be in effect for the next six months (until the next Solar eclipse). The Lunar eclipses are much short\u00ader in influ\u00adence and pre\u00advail for the next lunar month typically.<\/p>\n

Eclipses hap\u00adpen twice a year when the orbital plane of the Earth around the Sun, and the orbital plane of the Moon around the Earth align in such a way that one body or the oth\u00ader cre\u00adates a shad\u00adow that is vis\u00adi\u00adble to us. In a Solar eclipse the New Moon pass\u00ades exact\u00adly in front of the Solar disc form\u00ading a shad\u00adow on that part of Earth, (when at oth\u00ader New Moons the Moon is either below or above the Sun\u2019s posi\u00adtion), and a Lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon and the shad\u00adow of the Earth falls upon the Moon.<\/p>\n

The first eclipse is a total Solar eclipse on April 20, 2023, at 29 degrees, 50 min\u00adutes in Aries. It will be vis\u00adi\u00adble par\u00adtial\u00adly or whol\u00adly in Aus\u00adtralia, Indone\u00adsia, Tim\u00ador, Papua, and Papua New Guinea. To under\u00adstand the sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcance for one\u00adself, you would look to the house that has 29 degrees of Aries, and\/or any plan\u00adets you may have in your chart very close to that degree. Typ\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly, the house where an eclipse is locat\u00aded would be a very impor\u00adtant realm of activ\u00adi\u00adty in your life for the next six months or so. But you must remem\u00adber, plan\u00adets or an align\u00adment like this do not cre\u00adate some\u00adthing good or bad, they just elic\u00adit ener\u00adgy-forms that you will need to be aware of and need to work with. The expe\u00adri\u00adence will be deter\u00admined by you, giv\u00aden your past actions and your present spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal awareness.<\/p>\n

\"Eclipse<\/a><\/p>\n

The next eclipse is a Lunar eclipse on May 5, at 14 degrees, 58 min\u00adutes in Scor\u00adpio, at around 1:34 pm EDT<\/span>, and not vis\u00adi\u00adble in the USA<\/span>. Again, the sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcance of this Full Moon will depend upon where 15 degrees of Scor\u00adpio is in your chart, and whether you have any plan\u00adet near to this as well. But this is also a rather spe\u00adcial Full Moon, which is because for many this is also known as the Bud\u00addha Full Moon or Vesak, as it is said that the Bud\u00addha was born, achieved enlight\u00aden\u00adment, and passed at the Full Moon in Scorpio.<\/p>\n

The next eclipse is a total Solar eclipse on Octo\u00adber 14, at 21 degrees, 58 min\u00adutes in Libra, at around 1:55 pm EDT<\/span>, and will be vis\u00adi\u00adble from Ore\u00adgon, Neva\u00adda, Utah, New Mex\u00adi\u00adco, Texas, Yucatan and into South Amer\u00adi\u00adca, and par\u00adtial\u00adly through\u00adout much of the USA<\/span>. Con\u00adsid\u00ader where in your chart you have 22 degrees of Libra, or any plan\u00adet near to that degree to under\u00adstand the sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcance of the area of life being acti\u00advat\u00aded for you for the next six months.<\/p>\n

\"Eclipse<\/a><\/p>\n

And here is some\u00adthing to note, there will be anoth\u00ader very sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant eclipse six months lat\u00ader on April 8, 2024, that cross\u00ades the mid\u00adsec\u00adtion of the USA<\/span> from the South\u00adwest to the North\u00adeast. I men\u00adtioned this eclipse in 2017, because the August 2017 total eclipse also went across the mid\u00adsec\u00adtion of the USA<\/span> from the North\u00adwest to the South\u00adeast, and it seemed sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant that these two eclipses in effect have formed an \u201cX\u201d where the two eclipse paths meet in south\u00adern Illinois.<\/p>\n

Final\u00adly, the last eclipse of 2023 will be a Lunar eclipse on Octo\u00adber 28, at 5 degrees, 9 min\u00adutes of Tau\u00adrus at around 4:24 pm, and not vis\u00adi\u00adble in the USA<\/span>. Look to what house has 5 degrees of Tau\u00adrus in your chart and that will be the area of your life that you will expe\u00adri\u00adence a les\u00adson in the com\u00ading month.<\/p>\n

Mer\u00adcury Retrograde<\/strong>
\nNext up are the Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrades for 2023. For each ret\u00adro\u00adgrade, it is impor\u00adtant to note what degrees of the zodi\u00adac it revers\u00ades through and to see what house (or hous\u00ades) of your chart it is acti\u00advat\u00ading. For all of us, the Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrade peri\u00adod affords an oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to become more self-crit\u00adi\u00adcal, more reflec\u00adtive, and more deeply intro\u00adspec\u00adtive; it is a spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal gift so that we may cor\u00adrect our errors of per\u00adcep\u00adtion, cog\u00adni\u00adtion, and communication.<\/p>\n

Typ\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly, we have three Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrades a year, and this is true this year, but with an excep\u00adtion. That is because we will begin the year with Mer\u00adcury in ret\u00adro\u00adgrade already, and it will have begun on Decem\u00adber 29, 2022, and will end on Jan\u00adu\u00adary 18, 2023.<\/p>\n

The first Mer\u00adcury turn\u00ading ret\u00adro\u00adgrade in 2023 will be on April 21 and will end with Mer\u00adcury direct on May 14, mov\u00ading from 15 to 5 degrees in Tau\u00adrus. Behind all reflec\u00adtions and recon\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtions for this peri\u00adod we will be need\u00ading to focus our under\u00adstand\u00adings with regards to sub\u00adstance and val\u00adue, of which the ulti\u00admate truth being that the uni\u00adverse is made of Divine Love.<\/p>\n

The sec\u00adond Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrade in 2023 will begin on August 22 and end on Sep\u00adtem\u00adber 15, with Mer\u00adcury mov\u00ading from 22 to 8 degrees in Vir\u00adgo. For this peri\u00adod, we will have to recon\u00adsid\u00ader our under\u00adstand\u00adings about order and peace, with our need to strive to find our way to the source of ever\u00adlast\u00ading peace, which is found in our own hearts, as it is at the heart of Creation.<\/p>\n

The third Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrade of 2023 will begin on Decem\u00adber 13 and end on Jan\u00adu\u00adary 1, 2024, with Mer\u00adcury mov\u00ading from 8 Capri\u00adcorn to 22 Sagit\u00adtar\u00adius, and this will help us to bring togeth\u00ader our need to not only know the truth (Sagit\u00adtar\u00adius) but to embody it into our roles and respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties too, (Capri\u00adcorn).<\/p>\n

Venus Ret\u00adro\u00adgrade
\n<\/strong>We will also have anoth\u00ader Venus ret\u00adro\u00adgrade in 2023, from July 22 until Sep\u00adtem\u00adber 3, mov\u00ading from 28 degrees to 12 degrees Leo. Much like Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrade, Venus ret\u00adro\u00adgrade is an oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to turn inward, to heal and repair. Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrades rough\u00adly three times in a year, but Venus ret\u00adro\u00adgrades about every 18 months. Rather than a focus upon the mind as with Mer\u00adcury, Venus ret\u00adro\u00adgrade encour\u00adages us to appre\u00adci\u00adate the com\u00adplex hier\u00adar\u00adchy of val\u00adues that shape our lives. It is an oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to bring forth a more insight\u00adful under\u00adstand\u00ading about how we are held togeth\u00ader or drawn apart by what we share or do not share with one anoth\u00ader, of the val\u00adues we share or do not share with one anoth\u00ader. The house that Venus moves ret\u00adro\u00adgrade in your chart will pro\u00advide the par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar focus for you with regards to the nature of the val\u00adues you must recon\u00adsid\u00ader dur\u00ading this 40-day period.<\/p>\n

Major Plan\u00ade\u00adtary Shifts<\/strong>
\nNow we will con\u00adsid\u00ader the two big shifts that lie ahead in 2023, which is Sat\u00adurn mov\u00ading into Pisces and Plu\u00adto begin\u00adning to move into Aquarius.<\/p>\n

Sat\u00adurn into Pisces<\/strong>
\nThe move\u00adment of Sat\u00adurn through the twelve signs of the Zodi\u00adac forms one of the prin\u00adci\u00adpal shapers of our expe\u00adri\u00adence of real\u00adi\u00adty. Since Sat\u00adurn is the plan\u00adet known as the \u201cTeacher\u201d, and rules Real\u00adi\u00adty and the hier\u00adar\u00adchy of insti\u00adtu\u00adtions in the world, its pas\u00adsage through the signs pro\u00advides the focus for our fac\u00ading our respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties and devel\u00adop\u00ading our expe\u00adri\u00adence and wis\u00addom from year to year. Since 2020, those lessons have been expe\u00adri\u00adenced in the realm of Aquar\u00adius, (the pre\u00advi\u00adous times for Sat\u00adurn in Aquar\u00adius were 1991\u201393, 1962\u201364 and 1932\u201335), but start\u00ading on March 7, 2023, Sat\u00adurn will focus its influ\u00adence through the last sign of Pisces until 2025\u201326. We should note that the pre\u00advi\u00adous times for Sat\u00adurn in Pisces were 1993\u201396, 1964\u201367 and 1935\u201337, and though the con\u00adtent of those peri\u00adods is very dif\u00adfer\u00adent from our present day, the basic mes\u00adsage of Sat\u00adurn in Pisces remains the same.<\/p>\n

As much as Sat\u00adurn in Aquar\u00adius will always be a time of test\u00ading and teach\u00ading for our social con\u00adscious\u00adness and con\u00adscience, a tester for the strengths or the weak\u00adness\u00ades in our com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adties, for the integri\u00adty of our social net\u00adworks and the depth of our essen\u00adtial human\u00adi\u00adty, Sat\u00adurn in Pisces brings us into the final realm in the Cir\u00adcle of the Liv\u00ading Ones, which is to the very ques\u00adtion of our Faith ver\u00adsus our Fears.<\/p>\n

Every pas\u00adsage of any plan\u00adet through a sign is an oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to rise to the chal\u00adlenge, and we can either move high\u00ader or fall back\u00adwards. Hav\u00ading wit\u00adnessed the chal\u00adlenges that the world has encoun\u00adtered since 2020, we can cer\u00adtain\u00adly see how well or poor\u00adly our com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adties met the many crises of cli\u00admate change, of a pan\u00addem\u00adic, of the many crises and cries for social jus\u00adtice and sim\u00adple human togeth\u00ader\u00adness ver\u00adsus our divi\u00adsions from one another.<\/p>\n

So, it does seem espe\u00adcial\u00adly time\u00adly for Sat\u00adurn to turn our atten\u00adtion to the foun\u00adda\u00adtions of our jour\u00adney, to the very essence of what dri\u00adves our human sto\u00adry which is also the sto\u00adry of Spir\u00adit. The peren\u00adni\u00adal ques\u00adtion of spir\u00adit is before us which is this: will we find the way to restore our faith and face our fears, or will we suc\u00adcumb to those fears and fall fur\u00adther from the path of Truth and Light? What do we mean by this essen\u00adtial nature of Truth, of the Light that makes \u201call things shin\u00ading\u201d? What is the Foun\u00adtain-Source of our Faith?<\/p>\n

Behind the whole of Cre\u00adation, encom\u00adpass\u00ading and per\u00advad\u00ading every par\u00adti\u00adcle of being and every vibra\u00adtion of ener\u00adgy-forms, it is there that we find the mon\u00adad of Spir\u00adit, the divine spark of Cre\u00adation. And every par\u00adti\u00adcle and ener\u00adgy-wave of cre\u00adation is its own hier\u00adar\u00adchy too, descend\u00ading from the mon\u00adad, the most sub\u00adlime root essence of divine spir\u00adit, on down through the dimen\u00adsions and realms to the most phys\u00adi\u00adcal. That means that with\u00adin each par\u00adti\u00adcle or ener\u00adgy-form, each of the mon\u00adads in these realms or dimen\u00adsions of being is striv\u00ading to rise in its own spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal devel\u00adop\u00adment too.<\/p>\n

That is why the whole of Cre\u00adation can be seen as a great Jour\u00adney, of the Invo\u00adlu\u00adtion of Spir\u00adit into Mat\u00adter-Forms, and then the Evo\u00adlu\u00adtion of these forms as they move up the Spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal Lad\u00adder of Light, for all are inspired by the essence that is the One which is omnipresent and all-encom\u00adpass\u00ading. Behind it all, the whole pur\u00adpose of Cre\u00adation is for the One, for the One Spir\u00adit to be and to become, to unfold, through all the hier\u00adar\u00adchies that are Cre\u00adation, and that is why we are all here to be the One made Manifest.<\/p>\n

This hier\u00adar\u00adchy of cre\u00adation is what makes us Divine and human, it is why the very core of us nev\u00ader left (what we might call) \u201cheav\u00aden\u201d, and this is why we say that \u201cheav\u00aden is with\u00adin us\u201d, because it is tru\u00adly at the root of one and all. But because we are a hier\u00adar\u00adchy of ener\u00adgy-forms, rang\u00ading from the most ethe\u00adre\u00adal down to the less evolved, we are each indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly, and as a host of beings, on our own human jour\u00adney to become more aligned and guid\u00aded by the light that is with\u00adin our high\u00ader self. It is by this Light that is Love that we will lift our own indi\u00advid\u00adual hier\u00adar\u00adchy and our fel\u00adlow humans into ever high\u00ader dimen\u00adsions of a Liv\u00ading Faith. We humans began our jour\u00adney as sparks of the divine, we came from a star, and we will even\u00adtu\u00adal\u00adly return one day to become our very own star too.<\/p>\n

Our human self, our human con\u00adscious\u00adness, ris\u00ades and falls day in and day out, it ris\u00ades or falls from year to year and in life after life. Some\u00adtimes we are filled with the most lov\u00ading and self-for\u00adget\u00adful inten\u00adtions and actions, and some\u00adtimes there are more trou\u00adbling thoughts and feel\u00adings that shape our actions and lives. This is what dri\u00adves the jour\u00adney of our self-becom\u00ading, this is what forms the path\u00adway to Per\u00adfec\u00adtion framed by Kar\u00adma and Dhar\u00adma. We are on a jour\u00adney to per\u00adfec\u00adtion, and we learn that we have a choice to do and be bet\u00adter from expe\u00adri\u00adenc\u00ading the con\u00adse\u00adquences of our thoughts, words, and deeds.<\/p>\n

Ever inspir\u00ading us to move high\u00ader on the path of light is our own inner light, our high\u00ader self or spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal mon\u00adad, our essen\u00adtial link to the One that is Cre\u00adation, the One that is pure Love. When we lose sight of this or feel alone and apart, we fall down into dark\u00adness and despair, and when we lis\u00adten to the gen\u00adtle lov\u00ading spir\u00adit that is with\u00adin us all, we rise and shine brighter for one anoth\u00ader too.<\/p>\n

This is what we must remem\u00adber every day, and espe\u00adcial\u00adly now as Sat\u00adurn moves through the Sign of Reap\u00ading and Redemp\u00adtion, of Kar\u00adma and For\u00adgive\u00adness. This will be the ques\u00adtion behind the mes\u00adsages of Sat\u00adurn while in Pisces. The Ques\u00adtion is, do you know and live with some form of this under\u00adstand\u00ading, with this Liv\u00ading Faith, that you are here to learn one thing, which is how to be a bet\u00adter human, which means to know how to equal\u00adly have more self-under\u00adstand\u00ading and self-mas\u00adtery, yet to live and act with ever greater self-for\u00adget\u00adful\u00adness. That your jour\u00adney is to work with your own com\u00adplex host of hier\u00adar\u00adchies and ener\u00adgy-forms, to bring them into align\u00adment with Truth and Love; that your true work is this Great Work, which is to lift your\u00adself and one anoth\u00ader high\u00ader. You will have moments of tran\u00adscen\u00addence, and moments when you fall. But if you are to climb high\u00ader you must for\u00adgive your\u00adself and one anoth\u00ader too. Your path of Light is a path of Love, it is the Path of Wis\u00addom which is revealed by your Humil\u00adi\u00adty and Grat\u00adi\u00adtude, and it is this under\u00adstand\u00ading that you have and will always make your future that will form your Liv\u00ading Faith and over\u00adcome your fear.<\/p>\n

This is also one the prin\u00adci\u00adpal lessons of Pisces, to know why you must, how you should, and when you will make a sac\u00adri\u00adfice, because this is how you live a sacred life, a tru\u00adly lov\u00ading life. A mea\u00adsure of any per\u00adson or soci\u00adety to which they belong, is how much they reveal the love that they are, and they do this by how they hon\u00ador those who came before them, how they con\u00adduct them\u00adselves with their con\u00adtem\u00adpo\u00adraries now, and most espe\u00adcial\u00adly how they con\u00adsid\u00ader with love those that will come after them. Pisces is the time of Reap\u00ading; it is equal\u00adly the time then of the Sow\u00ading of the Seed.<\/p>\n

Pisces is the last Sign, it\u2019s mean\u00adings and mes\u00adsages con\u00adcern the entire\u00adty of any cycle, how in these fields of the One we har\u00advest the spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal gifts of under\u00adstand\u00ading and love, which are to be held and passed on to the next cycle, to the next gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion, and beyond. You are the fruit of those who came before you, and your gifts to those who come after are formed by your ded\u00adi\u00adca\u00adtion to make pos\u00adsi\u00adble a bet\u00adter world for one and all. This is Pisces, this is the Cir\u00adcle of Life; this is the Love of the One. With Sat\u00adurn in Pisces, we must under\u00adstand that we are mak\u00ading the future for those who will look back upon us, because our thoughts, words, and deeds will have formed their Real\u00adi\u00adty, their fate.<\/p>\n

This will be the heart of the Test with Sat\u00adurn in Pisces, to face our fears and hold to our faith. With our under\u00adstand\u00ading that we are the mak\u00aders of our fate, that we have noth\u00ading to fear but fear itself, we can remain in the light that is love, with our Liv\u00ading Faith of being co-cre\u00adators of Cre\u00adation and we will see the shad\u00adow that is fear fade.<\/p>\n

When we con\u00adsid\u00ader all of the gifts of Life, of all the many lives of all the many crea\u00adtures who form this Cre\u00adation, we see in the end that the Sto\u00adry of Cre\u00adation is about the Light shin\u00ading through the whole of this Cre\u00adation. It is your light; it is what is called That. In Pisces we remem\u00adber that All Things are Shin\u00ading, and that Spir\u00adit-Life-Con\u00adscious\u00adness forms the full\u00adness of Space.<\/p>\n

This full\u00adness that many call empti\u00adness of space is the Plero\u00adma of Cre\u00adation, it is the Light that is Love.<\/p>\n

It is the One.<\/p>\n

It is you.<\/p>\n

I had hoped to have time to talk about Plu\u00adto begin\u00adning to enter Aquar\u00adius in 2023, but I see that our time is too short for that now. I will do anoth\u00ader show this year but giv\u00aden the cal\u00aden\u00addar I will have to do it on anoth\u00ader day of the week, so per\u00adhaps on Sat\u00adur\u00adday the 31st<\/sup> of December.<\/p>\n

I will say this how\u00adev\u00ader, that as much as Plu\u00adto in Capri\u00adcorn was the time (once again) for an End of an Age, the pas\u00adsage of Plu\u00adto in Aquar\u00adius will be a time when we will be asked to begin to build a new world, to begin a New Age. Though it has been painful (and at times good) to see the end of an age, it will be an even greater chal\u00adlenge to cre\u00adate a bet\u00adter world for us and our descen\u00addants. But this is our respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty, this is our duty and our sac\u00adri\u00adfice to make.<\/p>\n
