I thought that we would con\u00adtin\u00adue our look at the his\u00adto\u00adry of the USA<\/span>, by exam\u00adin\u00ading how the series of Pro\u00adgressed New Moons in the USA<\/span> chart pro\u00advides a frame\u00adwork for under\u00adstand\u00ading its his\u00adtor\u00adi\u00adcal unfold\u00adment. I, and many Astrologers, have found that the series of Pro\u00adgressed New Moons in an individual\u2019s chart is quite illus\u00adtra\u00adtive of the struc\u00adture for that person\u2019s life, and we will find the same is true with regards to a nation\u2019s chart as well.<\/p>\n

Our show last time focused upon the crit\u00adi\u00adcal role of Neptune\u2019s posi\u00adtion in the USA<\/span> Chart (along with Plu\u00adto and Uranus), and its cyclic move\u00adment through the heav\u00adens in its 170-year jour\u00adney around the sun (and through the USA<\/span>\u2019s chart), illu\u00admi\u00adnates some of the crit\u00adi\u00adcal moments in our his\u00adto\u00adry. More espe\u00adcial\u00adly, Nep\u00adtune high\u00adlights the crit\u00adi\u00adcal junc\u00adture we find our\u00adselves in today (which resem\u00adbles or car\u00adries res\u00ado\u00adnances with the 1850\u2019s and 1860\u2019s). What we will see is that the pro\u00adgressed Sun\/Moon cycle also shows how impor\u00adtant our moment today is as well.<\/p>\n

A New Moon in a chart is like the plant\u00adi\u00adng of a seed that unfolds over the next 29 years. It is one of the ele\u00adments that can help us under\u00adstand what is pro\u00adpelling the Spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal devel\u00adop\u00adment of that enti\u00adty, in this case a Nation. The sign of the New Moon will be one key to its inter\u00adpre\u00adta\u00adtion, along with the House in which it occurs. We will also find illu\u00admi\u00adnat\u00ading the halfway point of any Lunar cycle when the Moon and the Sun are oppo\u00adsite to one anoth\u00ader, which is the Full Moon, and should be seen as a moment of Rev\u00ade\u00adla\u00adtion or cli\u00admax of that Sun\/Moon cycle.<\/p>\n

Though many his\u00adtor\u00adi\u00adcal events occur in each peri\u00adod, my inten\u00adtion here is to observe the devel\u00adop\u00adment of the USA<\/span> with regards to its foun\u00adda\u00adtion\u00adal pur\u00adpose, that we were to be a nation based upon the prin\u00adci\u00adple of equal\u00adi\u00adty and jus\u00adtice for all, as we stat\u00aded to the world in our Dec\u00adla\u00adra\u00adtion of Independence,<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>We hold these truths to be self-evi\u00addent, that all men are cre\u00adat\u00aded equal, that they are endowed by their Cre\u00adator with cer\u00adtain unalien\u00adable Rights, that among these are Life, Lib\u00ader\u00adty and the pur\u00adsuit of Hap\u00adpi\u00adness. That to secure these rights, Gov\u00adern\u00adments are insti\u00adtut\u00aded among Men, deriv\u00ading their just pow\u00aders from the con\u00adsent of the gov\u00aderned\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

That promise of equal\u00adi\u00adty, of found\u00ading a covenant com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty based upon the spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal truth that we sup\u00adport each person\u2019s right to free self-deter\u00admi\u00adna\u00adtion, was bro\u00adken at our birth, and it is still to be real\u00adized ful\u00adly to this very day. This is the sto\u00adry of Amer\u00adi\u00adca, as it is for all human and spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal progress; we are imper\u00adfect, and we must strive every day to become what we are meant to be, lov\u00ading one anoth\u00ader as we love our\u00adselves and all this Cre\u00adation too.<\/p>\n

1787<\/strong>
\nThe first New Moon for the USA<\/span> was in 1787<\/strong> at 24 degrees of Can\u00adcer in the 8th<\/sup> house. Can\u00adcer is the sign of the Dec\u00adla\u00adra\u00adtion of Inde\u00adpen\u00addence and is astro\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly the sign of our Roots and Foun\u00adda\u00adtions, of where we come from. 1787 was the year when the Con\u00adsti\u00adtu\u00adtion\u00adal Con\u00adven\u00adtion began, com\u00ading to an agree\u00adment to form the coun\u00adtry into a con\u00adsti\u00adtu\u00adtion\u00adal-rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtive repub\u00adlic. But more than half of the del\u00ade\u00adgates to the con\u00adven\u00adtion were slave own\u00aders, and our con\u00adsti\u00adtu\u00adtion specif\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly enshrined the right to own black peo\u00adple. In 1789, George Wash\u00ading\u00adton, also a slave own\u00ader, became the first Pres\u00adi\u00addent of the Unit\u00aded States. (And we can\u00adnot for\u00adget, that out of the first 12 Pres\u00adi\u00addents, only 2 did not own slaves).<\/p>\n

The Full Moon in 1802 was in Aquar\u00adius, which is where the Moon is in the USA<\/span> natal chart. In 1804 New Jer\u00adsey becomes the last north\u00adern state to abol\u00adish slav\u00adery. And, in 1808, the impor\u00adta\u00adtion of slaves into the Unit\u00aded States is made ille\u00adgal (but from then until 1860, more than 250,000 slaves are smug\u00adgled into the US<\/span>). The Amer\u00adi\u00adcan Sto\u00adry, the ardu\u00adous and painfilled path we are on towards a true democ\u00adra\u00adcy and the ful\u00adfill\u00adment of our stat\u00aded ide\u00adal of equal\u00adi\u00adty was set in place and remains to this day.<\/p>\n

1816<\/strong>
\nThe sec\u00adond New Moon was in 1816<\/strong> at 22 degrees of Leo in the 8th<\/sup> house. The sign of Leo is about lead\u00ader\u00adship, it rules self-affir\u00adma\u00adtion by self-expres\u00adsion, courage, and lead\u00ader\u00adship. This peri\u00adod began with the preser\u00adva\u00adtion of the USA<\/span> as a sep\u00ada\u00adrate nation after the defeat of England\u2019s attempt to take back its for\u00admer colonies in the War of 1812. The north\u00adern bor\u00adder for the USA<\/span> was fixed between Cana\u00adda in an agree\u00adment with the Unit\u00aded King\u00addom, and the offi\u00adcial US<\/span> flag is adopt\u00aded, with 13 bars &<\/span> stripes and a field of stars. The Mis\u00adsouri com\u00adpro\u00admise was adopt\u00aded allow\u00ading for it to be admit\u00adted as a state with slav\u00adery but bar\u00adring any future slave states west of the Mis\u00adsis\u00adsip\u00adpi, and in 1830 Con\u00adgress approves the Indi\u00adan Removal Act to relo\u00adcate all Native peo\u00adples who live east of the Mis\u00adsis\u00adsip\u00adpi river.<\/p>\n

The Full Moon of 1831 begins with Nat Turner\u2019s slave revolt in which 57 whites are killed (and he is cap\u00adtured and hanged), and with the infa\u00admous \u201cTrail of Tears\u201d, the forced reset\u00adtle\u00adment of the Chero\u00adkee Nation over the course of six years. This is also when the ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adry of Texas begins its attempt to break free of Mex\u00adi\u00adco and declare inde\u00adpen\u00addence, and it remains a con\u00adtest\u00aded region between Tex\u00adans and Mex\u00adi\u00adco until the Mex\u00adi\u00adcan War of 1846.<\/p>\n

1846<\/strong>
\nThe third New Moon was in 1846<\/strong> at 21 degrees of Vir\u00adgo in the 9th<\/sup> house. Vir\u00adgo is the sign that gov\u00aderns the prin\u00adci\u00adpal of Order and Orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion, of the dri\u00adve to greater Whole\u00adness. This peri\u00adod encom\u00adpassed the dra\u00admat\u00adic expan\u00adsion of the ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adry of the USA<\/span> through the War with Mex\u00adi\u00adco and the seizure of the lands that would become the states of Texas, New Mex\u00adi\u00adco, Ari\u00adzona, Neva\u00adda, Col\u00adorado, Utah, and Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adnia. The prin\u00adci\u00adpal rea\u00adson for the War with Mex\u00adi\u00adco, was Mexico\u2019s attempt to reassert con\u00adtrol over Texas and ban slav\u00adery in the ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adry. Texas slave own\u00aders rebelled, and the USA<\/span> joined in the cause of lib\u00ader\u00adat\u00ading Texas from Mex\u00adi\u00adcan con\u00adtrol and influ\u00adence, and by this inter\u00adven\u00adtion pre\u00adserv\u00ading slav\u00adery in Texas. But the cause against slav\u00adery was mount\u00ading through\u00adout the coun\u00adtry, and this peri\u00adod brought about the cli\u00admax in this strug\u00adgle over whether slav\u00adery would con\u00adtin\u00adue or be ended.<\/p>\n

It is quite remark\u00adable to note that the Full Moon for this cycle occurred in 1861, when the Civ\u00adil War com\u00admenced. Of course, we can note that this is the same peri\u00adod in which the tran\u00adsits to the USA<\/span> chart had both Plu\u00adto square to Plu\u00adto, and the pas\u00adsage of Nep\u00adtune oppo\u00adsite Nep\u00adtune and square to Mars that we are wit\u00adness\u00ading in 2021 again, and that we will expe\u00adri\u00adence our very first Plu\u00adto return in 2022. The ener\u00adgy-forms of our Civ\u00adil War are echo\u00ading around us once again.<\/p>\n

1876<\/strong>
\nThe fourth New Moon was in 1876<\/strong> at 20 degrees of Libra in the 10th<\/sup> house. Libra is the sign that gov\u00aderns the expe\u00adri\u00adence of Rela\u00adtion\u00adship, which to me is the field of ener\u00adgies form\u00ading our expe\u00adri\u00adences with one anoth\u00ader. The strug\u00adgle for free\u00addom and equal\u00adi\u00adty that was achieved after the Civ\u00adil War was bro\u00adken as the Recon\u00adstruc\u00adtion of the South\u00adern States end\u00aded dur\u00ading this New Moon. This turn\u00ading away from jus\u00adtice hap\u00adpened with the dis\u00adput\u00aded elec\u00adtion of 1876 which was resolved when Repub\u00adli\u00adcans came to an agree\u00adment with Democ\u00adrats. The Repub\u00adli\u00adcans would take the Pres\u00adi\u00adden\u00adcy, but with the under\u00adstand\u00ading that Fed\u00ader\u00adal enforce\u00adment of Recon\u00adstruc\u00adtion would end. What fol\u00adlowed was the sys\u00adtem\u00adat\u00adic exclu\u00adsion of black voic\u00ades and vot\u00aders in the South, which con\u00adtin\u00adued until the 1960\u2019s. This was also the year that the US<\/span> ordered all native peo\u00adples onto reser\u00adva\u00adtions lead\u00ading to the War with the Sioux and the Bat\u00adtle of Lit\u00adtle Big Horn.<\/p>\n

The cli\u00admax of this cycle was the Full Moon in 1890, and the Mas\u00adsacre at Wound\u00aded Knee becomes the last and most trag\u00adic act in the Wars against the Native peo\u00adples, end\u00ading the US<\/span> Mil\u00adi\u00adtary cam\u00adpaigns against Native Amer\u00adi\u00adcans. This peri\u00adod is also when the indus\u00adtri\u00adal growth of the coun\u00adtry leads to the rise of what will be come be called the \u201cGild\u00aded Age\u201d, with tycoons and major monop\u00ado\u00adlies ris\u00ading to pow\u00ader in the US<\/span> econ\u00ado\u00admy and influ\u00adence over the polit\u00adi\u00adcal world. This con\u00adcen\u00adtra\u00adtion of pow\u00ader led to the ris\u00ading cho\u00adrus of pro\u00adgres\u00adsive reform\u00aders seek\u00ading to both address eco\u00adnom\u00adic injus\u00adtice and cor\u00adrupt polit\u00adi\u00adcal systems.<\/p>\n

1905<\/strong>
\nThe fifth New Moon was in 1905<\/strong> at 20 degrees of Scor\u00adpio in the 11th<\/sup> house. Scor\u00adpio gov\u00aderns the prin\u00adci\u00adpal of Union, of Joint Ven\u00adtures and the Pow\u00ader of Alche\u00admy. In this peri\u00adod, Ted\u00addy Roo\u00adsevelt began his sec\u00adond term and the Pro\u00adgres\u00adsive move\u00adment, that had begun in the late 1800s con\u00adtin\u00adued to make strides in reign\u00ading in the excess\u00ades of the Gild\u00aded Age and Monop\u00ado\u00adlies, as reform\u00aders attempt\u00aded to cre\u00adate a more equi\u00adtable eco\u00adnom\u00adic and polit\u00adi\u00adcal order. Among the reforms, this peri\u00adod sees the enact\u00adment of a Nation\u00adal Income Tax and the direct elec\u00adtion of Senators.<\/p>\n

The Full Moon of this peri\u00adod is in 1920 and begins with women secur\u00ading the right to vote with the pas\u00adsage of the 19th<\/sup> amend\u00adment, which is the great\u00adest expan\u00adsion of the right to vote in the USA<\/span> ever. This advance\u00adment is fol\u00adlowed in 1924 when Native Amer\u00adi\u00adcans are des\u00adig\u00adnat\u00aded Cit\u00adi\u00adzens of the USA<\/span> and become eli\u00adgi\u00adble to vote as well. Of course, by the end of the 1920\u2019s the coun\u00adtry and the entire world descends into the abyss of the Great Depression.<\/p>\n

1935<\/strong>
\nThe sixth New Moon was in 1935<\/strong> at 20 degrees of Sagit\u00adtar\u00adius in the 1st<\/sup> house. Sagit\u00adtar\u00adius is the hold\u00ader of Truth, of how we under\u00adstand and know our\u00adselves and our world and embody these in our con\u00adduct and laws and prac\u00adtices. FDR<\/span> took office in March of 1933, but it was in 1935 that the Social Secu\u00adri\u00adty Act was passed, for\u00adev\u00ader chang\u00ading the rela\u00adtion\u00adship of the peo\u00adple of the USA<\/span> and their gov\u00adern\u00adment. World War II<\/span> leads to the great\u00adest col\u00adlec\u00adtive effort by the US<\/span> gov\u00adern\u00adment as Amer\u00adi\u00adca becomes the \u201cArse\u00adnal of Democ\u00adra\u00adcy\u201d and with the Allied Pow\u00aders defeats Fas\u00adcism in Ger\u00admany and Japan in 1945.<\/p>\n

The Full Moon in 1949 begins with Har\u00adry Tru\u00adman hav\u00ading been elect\u00aded to the Pres\u00adi\u00adden\u00adcy, and the post-World War II<\/span> era begins with the Cold War with the Sovi\u00adet Union, and nuclear arms race com\u00admenc\u00ading and con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00ading under Eisen\u00adhow\u00ader. The pan\u00adic over the threat of com\u00admu\u00adnism leads to a series of vio\u00adla\u00adtions of civ\u00adil rights dur\u00ading the 1950\u2019s and 60\u2019s. But this peri\u00adod equal\u00adly wit\u00adness\u00ades the ris\u00ading strug\u00adgle for civ\u00adil rights in the South and the North. Among the advances are a series of Supreme Court rul\u00adings like Brown vs Board of Edu\u00adca\u00adtion. That rul\u00ading declared that seg\u00adre\u00adga\u00adtion, the pol\u00adi\u00adcy of \u201csep\u00ada\u00adrate but equal\u201d, vio\u00adlat\u00aded the 14th<\/sup> Amend\u00adment, the very Amend\u00adment which was part of the abo\u00adli\u00adtion of Slav\u00adery, and had been rat\u00adi\u00adfied after the Civ\u00adil War in 1868, and which guar\u00adan\u00adtees that all per\u00adsons born in the USA<\/span> to be cit\u00adi\u00adzens and requir\u00ading equal pro\u00adtec\u00adtion under the law.<\/p>\n

1965<\/strong>
\nThe sev\u00adenth New Moon was in 1965<\/strong> at 20 degrees of Capri\u00adcorn in the 2nd<\/sup> house. Capri\u00adcorn gov\u00aderns the prin\u00adci\u00adpal of Respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty and the Insti\u00adtu\u00adtion\u00adal Order. The strug\u00adgle for racial jus\u00adtice and equal\u00adi\u00adty from the end of World War II<\/span> leads to the pas\u00adsage of sev\u00ader\u00adal laws, includ\u00ading the Vot\u00ading Rights Act of 1965. If we are to have a democ\u00adra\u00adcy, then each cit\u00adi\u00adzen must be allowed to vote, but the awful truth had been that since fail\u00adure of Recon\u00adstruc\u00adtion in the 1870\u2019s almost the entire black pop\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion of the South\u00adern States had nev\u00ader vot\u00aded, because they were pre\u00advent\u00aded from doing so. Many his\u00adto\u00adri\u00adans agree that this is when we might observe that the promise of Democ\u00adra\u00adcy and equal rights was being made pos\u00adsi\u00adble in the USA<\/span> for the first time in our his\u00adto\u00adry. Unfor\u00adtu\u00adnate\u00adly, the reac\u00adtion of those who do not want equal\u00adi\u00adty and jus\u00adtice for all Amer\u00adi\u00adcans would begin their coor\u00addi\u00adnat\u00aded efforts to over\u00adturn this progress.<\/p>\n

After the Full Moon of 1979, and the elec\u00adtion of Ronald Rea\u00adgan in 1980, we were led by a Pres\u00adi\u00addent who declared that the real prob\u00adlem with the USA<\/span> was our very own gov\u00adern\u00adment, and part of the solu\u00adtion was to reduce the pow\u00ader of the fed\u00ader\u00adal government\u2019s pro\u00adtec\u00adtion of minor\u00adi\u00adty rights. His admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion enacts a series of con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive poli\u00adcies that are direct\u00aded towards revers\u00ading the more equi\u00adtable divi\u00adsion of eco\u00adnom\u00adic and polit\u00adi\u00adcal progress that had been achieved by both par\u00adties since the days of FDR<\/span> in the 1930\u2019s. What was the result? Just look at the trend\u00adlines for eco\u00adnom\u00adic growth for the USA<\/span> from the 1940\u2019s to 1980, and then from 1980 to today, and you will note the grow\u00ading inequal\u00adi\u00adty of income and wealth that began in 1980 and has led to the wealth gap and crush\u00ading eco\u00adnom\u00adic inequal\u00adi\u00adties of today. This result was seed\u00aded by the poli\u00adcies imple\u00adment\u00aded dur\u00ading this peri\u00adod that began in the 1980\u2019s. We have now in the 2020\u2019s the most unequal dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion of wealth that we have ever had. The progress that we had made, of a more equi\u00adtable growth for most Amer\u00adi\u00adcans from 1940 to 1980 has been com\u00adplete\u00adly undone and reversed from 1980 until now. And this is no acci\u00addent, poli\u00adcies were pur\u00adsued, tax laws were changed, and pro\u00adgrams end\u00aded so that the very few would ben\u00ade\u00adfit from the wealth that we all help to create.<\/p>\n

1994<\/strong>
\nThe eighth New Moon was in 1994<\/strong> at 20 degrees of Aquar\u00adius in the 2nd <\/sup>house. Aquar\u00adius holds the dreams of Human\u00adi\u00adty, that one day we will indeed be broth\u00aders and sis\u00adters who live with jus\u00adtice and equal\u00adi\u00adty. But in 1994, aris\u00ading from the back\u00adlash against the Civ\u00adil Rights move\u00adment in the 1960\u2019s and 1970\u2019s, the polit\u00adi\u00adcal divi\u00adsion of the coun\u00adtry shift\u00aded dra\u00admat\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly, with a gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtional move from demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic to repub\u00adli\u00adcan con\u00adtrol of the south\u00adern and west\u00adern states, which final\u00adly led to the House of Rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtives being led by a Repub\u00adli\u00adcan major\u00adi\u00adty for the first time in 40 years in 1994. Their stat\u00aded agen\u00adda was to con\u00adtin\u00adue the dis\u00adman\u00adtling of the pow\u00ader and author\u00adi\u00adty of the cen\u00adtral gov\u00adern\u00adment, with the pur\u00adpose being the elim\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion of social pro\u00adgrams that addressed pover\u00adty and dis\u00adcrim\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion. The con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00ading and unsus\u00adtain\u00adable warp\u00ading of income and wealth dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion accel\u00ader\u00adat\u00aded lead\u00ading to the sec\u00adond great eco\u00adnom\u00adic cri\u00adsis in US<\/span> his\u00adto\u00adry in 2008.<\/p>\n

The Full Moon of 2008 arrived as the Repub\u00adli\u00adcan poli\u00adcies to cut tax\u00ades, remove reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions, and gut safe\u00adty pro\u00adgrams cre\u00adates the con\u00addi\u00adtions for the Sec\u00adond Great Depres\u00adsion in US<\/span> His\u00adto\u00adry, lead\u00ading to the sur\u00adpris\u00ading elec\u00adtion of the first black pres\u00adi\u00addent of the Unit\u00aded States, Barack Oba\u00adma. But once in office, the lead\u00ader\u00adship in the Repub\u00adli\u00adcan par\u00adty declares that their sole mis\u00adsion is to make cer\u00adtain that Obama\u2019s pro\u00adgrams are thwart\u00aded. Nev\u00ader\u00adthe\u00adless, he is reelect\u00aded but is only able to imple\u00adment his reforms through most\u00adly exec\u00adu\u00adtive actions, which can be undone by a fol\u00adlow\u00ading Pres\u00adi\u00addent. Then in 2016, Don\u00adald Trump is elect\u00aded to office with the stat\u00aded pur\u00adpose of doing every\u00adthing he can to reverse all of Obama\u2019s reforms and advances. The con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00ading ero\u00adsion of equi\u00adty and jus\u00adtice in the US<\/span>, and the mount\u00ading loss of faith in the sys\u00adtem of self-gov\u00adern\u00adment dur\u00ading his four years, leads to his defeat in 2020 and the elec\u00adtion of Joe Biden, a cen\u00adtrist demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic now reborn as a reformer and heal\u00ader for the nation. But Trump and his allies refuse to con\u00adcede and pro\u00admote an alter\u00adnate sto\u00adry of a stolen elec\u00adtion.
