Today I want to exam\u00adine the most sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant plan\u00ade\u00adtary align\u00adment of 2021, the wan\u00ading square of Sat\u00adurn to Uranus. Their syn\u00adod\u00adic cycle of rela\u00adtion\u00adship is 45 years, that is from con\u00adjunc\u00adtion to con\u00adjunc\u00adtion. Their dynam\u00adic and inte\u00adgral inter\u00adre\u00adla\u00adtion\u00adship holds togeth\u00ader the expe\u00adri\u00adences and con\u00adtrast\u00ading qual\u00adi\u00adties of con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive ver\u00adsus inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive energy-forms.<\/p>\n

Sat\u00adurn<\/strong>
\nThe plan\u00adet Sat\u00adurn rep\u00adre\u00adsents or holds the ener\u00adgy-form of Tra\u00addi\u00adtions, Insti\u00adtu\u00adtions, and what we expe\u00adri\u00adence as the Sta\u00adtus Quo. It is the vehi\u00adcle for our appre\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion and attach\u00adments to those real\u00adi\u00adties in all the parts of our lives that have stood the test of time. Our very exis\u00adtence and liveli\u00adhoods, our present cul\u00adture and civ\u00adi\u00adliza\u00adtion, are here pre\u00adcise\u00adly because of what was made and passed down to us by our ances\u00adtors. We own them so very much for mak\u00ading the world that we have today.<\/p>\n

From the per\u00adspec\u00adtive of Sat\u00adurn, what is old has proven its worth and so we should pre\u00adserve and main\u00adtain that way of doing or being as much as we can (\u201cif it is not bro\u00adken, please do not fix it!).<\/p>\n

And yet, the whole of Cre\u00adation is the Jour\u00adney and Evo\u00adlu\u00adtion of Spir\u00adit, mov\u00ading through forms of man\u00adi\u00adfes\u00adta\u00adtion that are the vehi\u00adcles for the innu\u00admer\u00adable spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal mon\u00adads for their pro\u00adgres\u00adsive self-real\u00adiza\u00adtions. The whole Uni\u00adverse is grow\u00ading; the whole Uni\u00adverse is con\u00adstant\u00adly chang\u00ading, and over-time evolv\u00ading and unfold\u00ading into ever more per\u00adfect forms that are indeed the \u201cSong of Spirit\u201d.<\/p>\n

Uranus<\/strong>
\nThis is cer\u00adtain\u00adly true, \u201cfor there to be growth, there must be change\u201d. One of the Avatars that informs and shapes those changes is held for us by Uranus, which is the Avatar of High\u00ader Con\u00adscious\u00adness or Freer Minds. The Ancient Teach\u00adings hold that on one lev\u00adel of our under\u00adstand\u00ading, the sto\u00adry of Spir\u00adit, and the lumi\u00adnous Song of Spir\u00adit is the saga of Con\u00adscious\u00adness; that every par\u00adti\u00adcle of Cre\u00adation is part of the One Mind of the One. In effect, the whole of cre\u00adation is alive and con\u00adscious, and each one of us is like a lit\u00adtle star of con\u00adscious\u00adness in the One Con\u00adscious\u00adness that is Creation.<\/p>\n

Uranus elic\u00adits and pro\u00admotes our growth and there\u00adfore much of the change we expe\u00adri\u00adence in our real\u00adi\u00adty-forms, and it does this by expand\u00ading the range and depth of our thought-forms. Uranus as the \u201cAwak\u00aden\u00ader\u201d, breaks through the bound\u00adaries of our present-day ideas, con\u00adcepts, and beliefs. It shat\u00adters the self-cre\u00adat\u00aded shell of our cir\u00adcum\u00adscribed space which defines and dif\u00adfer\u00aden\u00adti\u00adates that which is real and know\u00adable from that which is false or unknow\u00adable for us with our more lim\u00adit\u00aded under\u00adstand\u00ading at any one time.<\/p>\n

Uranus rules the abil\u00adi\u00adty of a freer mind to expe\u00adri\u00adence a more inclu\u00adsive under\u00adstand\u00ading of what is \u201creal\u00adly real\u201d. As such, it oper\u00adates as the \u201cCon\u00adtrar\u00adi\u00adan\u201d, as that instru\u00adment that pro\u00advides our spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal capac\u00adi\u00adty to see beyond our self-cast shad\u00adows that blind us to the \u201cGreater Real\u00adi\u00adty\u201d that is tru\u00adly present all around us, but of which we can only per\u00adceive and under\u00adstand with\u00adin a lim\u00adit\u00aded range of man\u00adi\u00adfes\u00adta\u00adtions and dimensions.<\/p>\n

Saturn\/Uranus<\/strong>
\nWhat does this mean for our present con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion of the Saturn\/Uranus rela\u00adtion\u00adship? It is that as much as Sat\u00adurn will hold us to that which has stood the test of time, Uranus is there to remind us that every sin\u00adgle part of this Cre\u00adation was at some point \u201cNEW<\/span>\u201d; what is now a tra\u00addi\u00adtion and truth was at some point a new or bet\u00adter Idea or For\u00admu\u00adla\u00adtion or Pro\u00adce\u00addure or Method.<\/p>\n

Sat\u00adurn reminds us to trea\u00adsure and pre\u00adserve what we have; but Uranus reminds us that we are only here because of change, because some ener\u00adgy-form in the past moved beyond the old into some\u00adthing more. What we will find in the dynam\u00adic inter\u00adweav\u00ading of Sat\u00adurn and Uranus is the beat\u00ading heart of our jour\u00adney as we bal\u00adance Preser\u00adva\u00adtion with Inno\u00adva\u00adtion, Tra\u00addi\u00adtion with Inven\u00adtion, the well-worn path ver\u00adsus the path not yet taken.<\/p>\n

What we should find is that the con\u00adjunc\u00adtion (or New Moon) of Sat\u00adurn with Uranus should be a moment when some new idea or ideas, some con\u00adtrar\u00adi\u00adan or inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive seeds would be released. Then over the next 45 years the hier\u00adar\u00adchy of ideas and forms would go through var\u00adi\u00adous stages of con\u00adflict and\/or inte\u00adgra\u00adtion until the next conjunction.<\/p>\n

Sat\u00adurn-Uranus Cycle<\/strong>
\nFor the last 170 years, the series of con\u00adjunc\u00adtions occurred in 1852, 1897, 1942 and 1988 (with the next con\u00adjunc\u00adtion due to arrive in 2032). We often can\u00adnot see at the con\u00adjunc\u00adtion or New Moon what has start\u00aded, but it does become appar\u00adent at the wax\u00ading square. What we would expect to see is that at the wax\u00ading square there would some for\u00adma\u00adtion of a con\u00adflict or strug\u00adgle between the New and the Old.<\/p>\n

1852 to 1860<\/strong>
\nFor exam\u00adple, in US<\/span> His\u00adto\u00adry, (and just focus\u00ading upon one but a major con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion of our ever-present strug\u00adgle to extend equal rights to all US<\/span> cit\u00adi\u00adzens), we could see the con\u00adjunc\u00adtion of 1852 being under\u00adstood with ref\u00ader\u00adence to the wax\u00ading square of 1860\u201362. In one prime exam\u00adple or area, the 1852 seed would be the ever-enlarg\u00ading under\u00adstand\u00ading about the evil of slav\u00adery lead\u00ading to the for\u00adma\u00adtion of the Repub\u00adli\u00adcan par\u00adty, the elec\u00adtion of Lin\u00adcoln and the Civ\u00adil War that fol\u00adlowed in 1860.<\/p>\n

In a sim\u00adi\u00adlar man\u00adner, we would expect the next moment in the cycle, the oppo\u00adsi\u00adtion of Sat\u00adurn and Uranus to be rather cli\u00admat\u00adic and stark, reveal\u00ading the inte\u00adgra\u00adtion of the old and the new in some new fusion, or by \u201cfail\u00adure\u201d a break\u00addown between the old and new ways. In our cur\u00adrent exam\u00adple that would be the late 1870\u2019s and the fail\u00adure of Recon\u00adstruc\u00adtion and the rein\u00adsti\u00adtu\u00adtion of servi\u00adtude for the for\u00admer slave pop\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion through seg\u00adre\u00adga\u00adtion and terror.<\/p>\n

1942 to 1951<\/strong>
\nMore recent\u00adly, the Con\u00adjunc\u00adtion of 1942 was more defin\u00adi\u00adtive\u00adly revealed by the wax\u00ading square in 1951\u201352, as the strug\u00adgle again between tra\u00addi\u00adtion\u00adal ways and the push towards greater free\u00addom wit\u00adnessed the birth of the mod\u00adern civ\u00adil rights era, with local and state gov\u00adern\u00adments on up to the Supreme Court mov\u00ading to break up the seg\u00adre\u00adga\u00adtion (in the South and the North). Fol\u00adlow\u00ading that, the oppo\u00adsi\u00adtion (like a Full Moon) of Sat\u00adurn with Uranus in 1965\u201367 wit\u00adnessed the most con\u00adse\u00adquen\u00adtial Civ\u00adil Rights laws being passed and enforced since the Civ\u00adil War and Recon\u00adstruc\u00adtion eras.<\/p>\n

2021, The Wan\u00ading Square<\/strong>
\nBut what about our peri\u00adod? We are at the oth\u00ader major aspect of any cycle, which is the wan\u00ading square of the cycle that began at the Saturn\/Uranus con\u00adjunc\u00adtion in 1988. If we look at the pre\u00advi\u00adous times of the wan\u00ading square, we can dis\u00adcern a fun\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal pat\u00adtern of mean\u00ading. Those pre\u00advi\u00adous moments to ours were 1930\u201331 and 1975\u201377. If a wax\u00ading square is known as a cri\u00adsis of build\u00ading, a choice about which path to take from an incep\u00adtion point, a wan\u00ading square is known as a Cri\u00adsis in Con\u00adscious\u00adness. What do we mean or why do we call this square a \u201ccri\u00adsis in consciousness\u201d?<\/p>\n

It is because the oppo\u00adsi\u00adtion that pro\u00adceeds it is like a Full Moon; it is the rev\u00ade\u00adla\u00adtion for that cycle of man\u00adi\u00adfes\u00adta\u00adtion. Whether that rev\u00ade\u00adla\u00adtion was a \u201ctri\u00adumphant\u201d or a \u201csor\u00adrow\u00adful\u201d moment, it will be at the wan\u00ading square of the cycle that we must come to a reck\u00adon\u00ading. We face a choice about which ideas, beliefs, truths, (and the actions that fol\u00adlow from these), will be the ones that resolve the cri\u00adsis that we now face.<\/p>\n

1988 to 2008<\/strong>
\nIn some fash\u00adion the Ideas and Ide\u00adolo\u00adgies that formed and guid\u00aded our path from 1988 led to the rev\u00ade\u00adla\u00adtion of the oppo\u00adsi\u00adtion or Full Moon of 2008-10. That was cer\u00adtain\u00adly a mem\u00ado\u00adrable moment, as the world dealt with the mort\u00adgage debt cri\u00adsis and all economies and cul\u00adtures faced the results of how well or poor\u00adly their jour\u00adney of humans was far\u00ading at that point. What we saw then was how unfair and unequal our way of meet\u00ading one another\u2019s needs was here and equal\u00adly around the world. There were mas\u00adsive attempts to sal\u00advage a bro\u00adken eco\u00adnom\u00adic order, to make some repa\u00adra\u00adtions and attempt some fix\u00ades. And so, we con\u00adtin\u00adued along our path after these adjust\u00adments were made as if all were now fine.<\/p>\n

Giv\u00aden what has hap\u00adpened in the past year, almost all would have to agree that we failed to real\u00adly address the yawn\u00ading gap of good growth that should be for one and all in 2008\u20132010, and that our sys\u00adtem of meet\u00ading one another\u2019s needs failed in 2020, but in a far more dev\u00adast\u00ading manner.<\/p>\n

From 1980 to 2021<\/strong>
\nIn this moment we face a turn\u00ading once again. And the beliefs that had shaped us since the 1980s up to now are being test\u00aded. What is the mes\u00adsage? For me, the mantra of \u201cthe less gov\u00adern\u00adment the bet\u00adter\u201d is now offi\u00adcial\u00adly over. We have seen that when we let the pri\u00advate, so-called \u201cfree mar\u00adket,\u201d (whose only val\u00adue of con\u00adse\u00adquence is \u201cquan\u00adti\u00adty\u201d), when we let the unreg\u00adu\u00adlat\u00aded and self-inter\u00adest\u00aded actions of indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adals deter\u00admine all oth\u00ader val\u00adues in our world, the eter\u00adnal val\u00adues of beau\u00adty, kind\u00adli\u00adness, equal\u00adi\u00adty, equi\u00adty, and jus\u00adtice are dimin\u00adished and spoiled. When we seek only quan\u00adti\u00adty, we turn away from our most essen\u00adtial val\u00adue and duty which is to love and cher\u00adish one anoth\u00ader and this beau\u00adti\u00adful Earth.<\/p>\n

Per\u00adson\u00adal Mes\u00adsage of Saturn\/Uranus<\/strong>
\nWhat I have been exam\u00adin\u00ading here are the Mun\u00addane or World\u00adly effects of this align\u00adment. But you might want to know, what does it mean for each of us in its more per\u00adson\u00adal or indi\u00advid\u00adual effects?<\/p>\n

For all of us, no mat\u00adter what our indi\u00advid\u00adual chart might indi\u00adcate, we are at a moment where we need to hold togeth\u00ader and apply in an integrative\/balanced man\u00adner our respect for tra\u00addi\u00adtion and yet equal\u00adly our open\u00adness to inno\u00adva\u00adtion. We must not react with fear and hold onto that whose time has clear\u00adly passed, nor be tempt\u00aded by the thrill of sup\u00adposed free\u00addom by leap\u00ading with aban\u00addon into the unproven and untest\u00aded. The way of Spir\u00adit is always the \u201cmid\u00addle path\u201d, the roy\u00adal road of wis\u00addom, humil\u00adi\u00adty, and love.<\/p>\n

Saturn\/Uranus in Chart<\/strong>
\nFor each of us, we can look to see where Sat\u00adurn in Aquar\u00adius and Uranus in Tau\u00adrus are in the wheel of our own chart. We can see the mes\u00adsage they hold by what hous\u00ades are con\u00adnect\u00aded and inter\u00adre\u00adlat\u00aded by the influ\u00adence of Sat\u00adurn in one house, while Uranus is in anoth\u00ader. For exam\u00adple, if Sat\u00adurn is in your 1st<\/sup> house while Uranus is in your 4th<\/sup>, it would indi\u00adcate that you are feel\u00ading or being asked to define most clear\u00adly who you are, to clar\u00adi\u00adfy and firm up your \u201cPres\u00adence\u201d; to find and project out\u00adward\u00adly the essen\u00adtial and spe\u00adcial qual\u00adi\u00adty of you that makes you \u201cyou\u201d. Mean\u00adwhile, Uranus in your 4th<\/sup> house is remind\u00ading you that you should always be open to free\u00ading your\u00adself from (or redefin\u00ading) those ele\u00adments at the root of you, (fam\u00adi\u00adly, ances\u00adtry, cul\u00adture, and civ\u00adi\u00adliza\u00adtion) that would lim\u00adit the authen\u00adtic qual\u00adi\u00adty of your pres\u00adence in the 1st<\/sup> house.<\/p>\n

On the one hand you want to break \u201cfree\u201d, while on the oth\u00ader hand you need to remain root\u00aded. Yes, it seems they are in con\u00adflict, and that you must choose one or the oth\u00ader. But in spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal truth, the only way is the \u201cway through both\u201d, because each of these qual\u00adi\u00adties are nec\u00ades\u00adsary to each oth\u00ader and to you.
\nYou can\u00adnot be absolute\u00adly or per\u00adfect\u00adly free to do or be or behave as you wish. You must be shaped, formed, guid\u00aded, and attached to those truths which have stood the test of all time. Num\u00adber one in these is to, \u201cLove one anoth\u00ader\u201d; num\u00adber two is to, \u201cDo unto oth\u00aders as you would have them do unto you\u201d.<\/p>\n

In this case you would be striv\u00ading to free your\u00adself to a more per\u00adfect form of self-expres\u00adsion while being guid\u00aded by your essen\u00adtial anchor of uncon\u00addi\u00adtion\u00adal love root\u00aded in our human family.<\/p>\n

Saturn\/Uranus to Natal Planet<\/strong>
\nIf we were to con\u00adsid\u00ader the align\u00adment of Sat\u00adurn and Uranus to a plan\u00adet (or plan\u00adets) in your chart, then the mean\u00adings for you would be more focused upon that qual\u00adi\u00adty of your being. The degrees of their exact align\u00adment will be in the fixed signs of Tau\u00adrus and Aquar\u00adius, at 7, 11 and 13 degrees.<\/p>\n

Let us say you had Sat\u00adurn and Uranus each aspect\u00ading your Mer\u00adcury this year, what might that mean? But Sat\u00adurn would be weigh\u00ading in with the equal\u00adly insis\u00adtent pres\u00adsure to hold to con\u00adven\u00adtion and nor\u00admal\u00adi\u00adty out of fear of being chal\u00adlenged by author\u00adi\u00adties and the weight of belief resid\u00ading in the old ways of think\u00ading. But, of course, what you must real\u00adly do is hold them togeth\u00ader and find the \u201cthird way\u201d through reac\u00adtion and fear ver\u00adsus over\u00adact\u00ading and rebellion.<\/p>\n

Saturn\/Uranus in Signs<\/strong>
\nWe can also derive both per\u00adson\u00adal and uni\u00adver\u00adsal mean\u00adings from under\u00adstand\u00ading the mes\u00adsage of this align\u00adment of Sat\u00adurn and Uranus by the essen\u00adtial nature of their posi\u00adtion in Aquar\u00adius and Tau\u00adrus, respec\u00adtive\u00adly.
