Sat\u00adurn and Jupiter<\/strong>
\nSat\u00adurn is the Avatar of Real\u00adi\u00adty and is gen\u00ader\u00adal\u00adly known as the plan\u00adet of lim\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtion and cau\u00adtion. In Mun\u00addane Astrol\u00ado\u00adgy, Sat\u00adurn is the ruler of Insti\u00adtu\u00adtions (fam\u00adi\u00adly, com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty, busi\u00adness, and gov\u00adern\u00adment). The orbit of Sat\u00adurn is about 29 years, spend\u00ading about two and one-half years in a sign. The orbit of Jupiter is about 12 years, spend\u00ading about one year in a sign. Their syn\u00adod\u00adic peri\u00adod, mov\u00ading from one Jupiter con\u00adjunc\u00adtion with Sat\u00adurn to the next is about 20 years. Since they rule two oppo\u00adsite prin\u00adci\u00adples, \u201cGrowth\u201d ver\u00adsus \u201cLim\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtion\u201d, these con\u00adjunc\u00adtions every 20 years have been care\u00adful\u00adly not\u00aded by Mun\u00addane Astrology.<\/p>\n

Jupiter\/Saturn Con\u00adjunc\u00adtions<\/strong>
\nWhat we find is that at each Con\u00adjunc\u00adtion there is some change, often a rever\u00adsal of trends from the pre\u00advi\u00adous 20-year peri\u00adod in the cul\u00adture, econ\u00ado\u00admy and polit\u00adi\u00adcal nature of a com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty or cul\u00adture. What hap\u00adpens is that the Jupiter force expands along a cer\u00adtain path\u00adway of mean\u00ading until it encoun\u00adters the hard lim\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtions of Sat\u00adurn real\u00adi\u00adties. Astrologers call this end\u00ading and begin\u00adning of their cycle at the con\u00adjunc\u00adtion a Mutation.<\/p>\n

After three con\u00adjunc\u00adtions or 60 years, their posi\u00adtion will be rough\u00adly 9 degrees fur\u00adther along in that sign. That means in 40 con\u00adjunc\u00adtions, (40 x 9 equal\u00ading 360 degrees), they com\u00adplete a cycle through the Zodi\u00adac. Those 40 con\u00adjunc\u00adtions x 20 years adds up to 800 years. What we observe, is that for rough\u00adly 200 years their align\u00adments will occur in the same ele\u00adment (Fire, Earth, Air or Water), and we call these series of con\u00adjunc\u00adtions in the same ele\u00adment the Less\u00ader Muta\u00adtions. But every 200 years or so their con\u00adjunc\u00adtion will move into the next ele\u00adment for the next 200 years, and Astrologers call that a Great Muta\u00adtion<\/strong>. That is what is hap\u00adpen\u00ading this Decem\u00adber 2020.<\/p>\n

The last time Jupiter and Sat\u00adurn shift\u00aded like this was 1840, when they moved from the ele\u00adment of Fire to Earth. This time they will begin their 200-year cycle in Air start\u00ading with Aquar\u00adius. (There are those who say that this is one more indi\u00adca\u00adtor that we are mov\u00ading into the oft men\u00adtioned \u201cAge of Aquar\u00adius\u201d, and there are oth\u00ader cycles and signs that point to this too).<\/p>\n

Look\u00ading to the USA<\/span>, we can observe the his\u00adto\u00adry of their Earth Con\u00adjunc\u00adtions since 1840, and it can help us under\u00adstand and delin\u00adeate the char\u00adac\u00adter and mean\u00ading of each 20-year peri\u00adod. They reveal a pat\u00adtern of unfold\u00ading ener\u00adgy-forms that bring us to the great turn\u00ading point we are now approach\u00ading. We would expect that through\u00adout this 200-year Earthy peri\u00adod the root char\u00adac\u00adter of these Jupiter-Sat\u00adurn seeds would be dom\u00adi\u00adnat\u00aded by con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtions of the phys\u00adi\u00adcal world, on mat\u00adters of wealth and pro\u00adduc\u00adtion, and social\u00adly and spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal\u00adly on ques\u00adtions of how mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal val\u00adues are under\u00adstood and manifested.<\/p>\n

\nIf we divide these peri\u00adods accord\u00ading to the US<\/span> Pres\u00adi\u00addents pre\u00adsid\u00ading at the start of each peri\u00adod, we will find the following:<\/p>\n

1840\u20131860<\/strong> (Har\u00adri\u00adson) This was a peri\u00adod of great expan\u00adsion for the USA<\/span>, prin\u00adci\u00adpal\u00adly accom\u00adplished by the seizure from Mex\u00adi\u00adco of much of the west\u00adern parts of the Unit\u00aded States in the Mex\u00adi\u00adcan War, which added Texas, New Mex\u00adi\u00adco, Ari\u00adzona, and Cal\u00adi\u00adfor\u00adnia. 1900\u20131920<\/strong> (McKin\u00adley) The USA<\/span> emerged onto the world stage as a ris\u00ading pow\u00ader eco\u00adnom\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly and polit\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly, espe\u00adcial\u00adly with its crit\u00adi\u00adcal entrance into WW<\/span> I. But the unfet\u00adtered cap\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adism of the Gild\u00aded Age had also led to the Pro\u00adgres\u00adsive Reform move\u00adment, with attempts to rein in the excess pow\u00ader of the Monied class by reforms in the civ\u00adil soci\u00adety and gov\u00adern\u00adment reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions, lead\u00ading to a nation\u00adal income tax and a more robust reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adto\u00adry structure.<\/p>\n

1920\u20131940<\/strong> (Hard\u00ading) The end of World War I, Suf\u00adfrage with the vote for Women and then Pro\u00adhi\u00adbi\u00adtion, were the final acts of the reform era, which led to the Roar\u00ading Twen\u00adties and a bub\u00adble of wild spec\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion that end\u00aded with the Great Depres\u00adsion start\u00ading in 1929. 1940\u20131960<\/strong> (Roo\u00adsevelt) The Bat\u00adtles of WW<\/span> II<\/span> and its con\u00adclu\u00adsion leads to the Mar\u00adshall Plan for re-build\u00ading Europe and the emer\u00adgence of the Cold War, with the divide between the East and the West, between Cap\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adist ver\u00adsus Com\u00admu\u00adnist coun\u00adtries. The USA<\/span> is the dom\u00adi\u00adnant world pow\u00ader lead\u00ading the West against the USSR<\/span>.<\/p>\n

1960\u20131980<\/strong> (Kennedy) The Cold War reach\u00ades its cli\u00admax in the Nuclear Arms race, and the Unit\u00aded States enters the dis\u00adas\u00adtrous Viet\u00adnam War. Mean\u00adwhile domes\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly, the Civ\u00adil Rights move\u00adment leads to a back\u00adlash and the Demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic South turns Repub\u00adli\u00adcan. The Eco\u00adnom\u00adic imbal\u00adances gen\u00ader\u00adat\u00aded by the Viet\u00adnam War and Johnson\u2019s Great Soci\u00adety leads in the late 1970\u2019s to what becomes known as Stagfla\u00adtion and grind\u00ading eco\u00adnom\u00adic malaise.<\/p>\n

1980\u20132000<\/strong> (Rea\u00adgan) The Rea\u00adgan Rev\u00ado\u00adlu\u00adtion takes on the growth of the so-called \u201cwel\u00adfare state\u201d by slash\u00ading tax\u00ades and pro\u00adgrams, a rever\u00adsal of Roosevelt\u2019s New Deal and Johnson\u2019s Great Soci\u00adety. The more or less equi\u00adtable dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion in the growth of wealth in the USA<\/span> from 1940 is halt\u00aded, and so once again the rise of the great inequal\u00adi\u00adty between the haves and have nots begins. Rea\u00adgan claimed that \u201cGov\u00adern\u00adment is the Prob\u00adlem\u201d and the Repub\u00adli\u00adcan par\u00adty and neo-lib\u00ader\u00adal move\u00adment push\u00ades an agen\u00adda of cut\u00adting tax\u00ades while promis\u00ading more rev\u00adenue, (from what they claimed would be a robust growth in the econ\u00ado\u00admy), but the elder George Bush calls the move \u201cVoodoo Eco\u00adnom\u00adics\u201d. Lat\u00ader, Clin\u00adton as a cen\u00adtrist demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic moves the coun\u00adtry fur\u00adther down this path of grow\u00ading inequal\u00adi\u00adty, which was masked for a time by a gen\u00ader\u00adal rise in eco\u00adnom\u00adic growth brought about by the end of the \u201cCold War\u201d. The rise in wealth is increas\u00ading\u00adly dis\u00adtrib\u00aduted to the top 10%.<\/p>\n

2000\u20132020<\/strong> (Bush) The Bush pres\u00adi\u00adden\u00adcy is shocked by 9\/11, as the forces unleashed by the end of the Cold War and Russia\u2019s War in Afghanistan comes home to the Unit\u00aded States. The War against Ter\u00adror begins, (and has not end\u00aded), as the Fed\u00ader\u00adal Reserve keeps inter\u00adest rates low to sup\u00adport the increas\u00ading\u00adly unequal growth of wealth in the econ\u00ado\u00admy. This arti\u00adfi\u00adcial\u00adly low inter\u00adest rate struc\u00adture sows the seeds for the Mort\u00adgage cri\u00adsis in 2006 and 2007 lead\u00ading to the Sec\u00adond Great Depres\u00adsion start\u00ading in 2008. Oba\u00adma sta\u00adbi\u00adlizes the econ\u00ado\u00admy, but the eco\u00adnom\u00adic imbal\u00adances remain and lead to a fur\u00adther splin\u00adter\u00ading of the coun\u00adtry between the haves and the have nots. With nei\u00adther Democ\u00adrats nor Repub\u00adli\u00adcans address\u00ading the unsus\u00adtain\u00adable imbal\u00adance of wealth in the coun\u00adtry, Trump is elect\u00aded as a pop\u00adulist, with promis\u00ades to fight as an out\u00adsider and icon\u00ado\u00adclast. But he enacts anoth\u00ader typ\u00adi\u00adcal tax cut that rewards the wealthy, while fur\u00adther erod\u00ading the social safe\u00adty net. The abysmal state of that safe\u00adty net is ful\u00adly revealed by the dis\u00adas\u00adtrous response to the Pan\u00addem\u00adic of 2020.<\/p>\n

The Future
\n2020\u20132040 <\/strong>(Biden)<\/p>\n

We do not know what lies ahead of us now, but we do know there is a new era emerg\u00ading. With the Decem\u00adber Jupiter\/Saturn Great Muta\u00adtion Con\u00adjunc\u00adtion ush\u00ader\u00ading in a 200-year peri\u00adod, and the Ener\u00adgy-Form that will be at the root of this new era will be guid\u00aded by Air not Earth. What might this mean?<\/p>\n

\nThe pre\u00advi\u00adous Age of Air was from 1226 to 1425 and marked the tran\u00adsi\u00adtion from the Mid\u00addle Ages to the Renais\u00adsance in Europe. Among the sig\u00adna\u00adture events: The trans\u00adla\u00adtion from Ara\u00adbic ver\u00adsions into Latin of Greek works of art and phi\u00adlos\u00ado\u00adphy, seed\u00ading a rebirth of clas\u00adsi\u00adcal under\u00adstand\u00ading and intel\u00adlec\u00adtu\u00adal growth; new demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic assem\u00adblies form in Switzer\u00adland and Eng\u00adland; the advent of Human\u00adism with the study of clas\u00adsi\u00adcal lit\u00ader\u00ada\u00adture as a liv\u00ading tra\u00addi\u00adtion; the inven\u00adtion of mov\u00adable type in Korea, and print\u00ading press\u00ades in Europe among many oth\u00ader dis\u00adcov\u00ader\u00adies and inven\u00adtions. The move\u00adment towards rea\u00adson and crit\u00adi\u00adcal think\u00ading estab\u00adlished the foun\u00adda\u00adtion for the Renais\u00adsance and the lat\u00ader age of Enlightenment.<\/p>\n

Par\u00ada\u00addigm for Past 200 Years<\/strong>
\nThe last 200 years have been shaped as an Age of Earth con\u00adjunc\u00adtions, and it cer\u00adtain\u00adly has become appar\u00adent that over this peri\u00adod the gov\u00adern\u00ading par\u00ada\u00addigm and goal was to have \u201cMore of More Things\u201d. The accu\u00admu\u00adla\u00adtion of wealth and pos\u00adses\u00adsions became the dri\u00adving pur\u00adpose of life. The more things you had (and con\u00adsumed), the hap\u00adpi\u00ader you would be. But it turns out that this is just not true, not at all.<\/p>\n

The pre\u00adsid\u00ading cul\u00adtur\u00adal ide\u00adolo\u00adgies and even vari\u00adants of many reli\u00adgions of this peri\u00adod have not been guid\u00aded by con\u00adcerns for the high\u00adest moral good or the well-being of oth\u00ader humans (or oth\u00ader life-forms, or for the plan\u00adet in gen\u00ader\u00adal). Most of the thought-ener\u00adgy-forms in our cul\u00adtur\u00adal, polit\u00adi\u00adcal, and spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal spheres have been shaped and bound to the only val\u00adue that has but one dimen\u00adsion, the Val\u00adue of Quantity.<\/p>\n

Over the arc of the past 200 years it would seem to an out\u00adside observ\u00ader that the only good was end\u00adless, mate\u00adri\u00adal\u00adis\u00adtic pro\u00adduc\u00adtion in ser\u00advice to an unquench\u00adable con\u00adsump\u00adtion of things. More of more was sup\u00adposed to make you hap\u00adpi\u00ader. But the more peo\u00adple had, the more they want\u00aded. Whole ecosys\u00adtems and envi\u00adron\u00adments, and whole species were and have been sac\u00adri\u00adficed for the pur\u00adsuit of wealth and pow\u00ader. It was not \u201cLife\u201d that mat\u00adtered; what mat\u00adtered was the so-called \u201cgood life\u201d as humans pur\u00adsued ever more mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal pleasures.<\/p>\n

The Price<\/strong>
\nWhat has been the price? We have end\u00aded with a neo-lib\u00ader\u00adal eco\u00adnom\u00adic sys\u00adtem, where\u00adin the pur\u00adpose of life is dri\u00adven by the free\u00addom to pur\u00adsue this one-dimen\u00adsion\u00adal val\u00adue of quan\u00adti\u00adty at the expense of every\u00adthing else, where only more of more mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal things mat\u00adtered. And the price of all these things? This amass\u00ading of quan\u00adti\u00adties has come at the cost of steal\u00ading from the future of our descen\u00addants. We have been thieves, and we are to this very day steal\u00ading their future still. With regards to those who come after us, we will have left them so much less than we had. We drank their water, we breathed their air, we ate their food, and we are leav\u00ading them a bro\u00adken world where they will strug\u00adgle to sur\u00advive; it will be a world that be will unrec\u00adog\u00adniz\u00adable to you or to me, and it will be a world that is more and more unliv\u00adable for most of human\u00adi\u00adty and many oth\u00ader species.<\/p>\n

I do not mean to say that this \u201cAge of Earth\u201d had to have turned out this way, that is not true at all. The Ener\u00adgy-Forms pre\u00adsid\u00ading in any peri\u00adod may man\u00adi\u00adfest in a whole array of beliefs and actions, and that will lead to a range of pos\u00adsi\u00adble out\u00adcomes. There were many oth\u00ader influ\u00adencers in the arc of our jour\u00adney that led to this cri\u00adsis; and innu\u00admer\u00adable choic\u00ades were made by humans in this peri\u00adod, (and indeed in the pri\u00ador peri\u00adods of Great Muta\u00adtion Epochs, like the pro\u00adceed\u00ading peri\u00adod of Fire from 1663 to 1842, and of Water from 1425 to 1663). All of these con\u00adtributed to the shap\u00ading of human desires, capa\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties and actions that pro\u00adduced the exis\u00adten\u00adtial threat of Cli\u00admate Change that we face now.<\/p>\n

The good news is we cre\u00adat\u00aded this; it was not because of an aster\u00adoid strik\u00ading the Earth, it was not the result of world-wide vol\u00adcanic erup\u00adtions. These past Extinc\u00adtion Events came from so-called \u201cnat\u00adur\u00adal\u201d or \u201cexter\u00adnal\u201d caus\u00ades. The good news is we made this cri\u00adsis; the good news, now that we know, is that we can choose to change. We can still make a dif\u00adfer\u00adent future if we act now.<\/p>\n

Ener\u00adgy-Forms and Power<\/strong>
\nWhat we must do is face real\u00adi\u00adty, to see what we have made; we need to under\u00adstand what we have done and decide what we need to do. Slow\u00adly at first, but increas\u00ading\u00adly from the 1840\u2019s onwards, we made a world-wide civ\u00adi\u00adliza\u00adtion that is built upon the pow\u00ader of ener\u00adgy-forms that had been locked away for mil\u00adlions of years in coal, and oil and gas. We thought we were so clever, so intel\u00adli\u00adgent and crafty. We released stu\u00adpen\u00addous amounts of ener\u00adgy to amass wealth and pow\u00ader; but we did not ful\u00adly account for the true costs for the life-forms on this planet.<\/p>\n

Through a lack of under\u00adstand\u00ading (and humil\u00adi\u00adty) we changed the del\u00adi\u00adcate bal\u00adance of ener\u00adgy-forms and life-forms on this plan\u00adet. And we did this in what amounts to a geo\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal sec\u00adond. What might have changed over tens of thou\u00adsands of years we did in mere decades. We are the cre\u00adators of this New Earth where whole species and ecosys\u00adtems are van\u00adish\u00ading year after year; we have moved our world from a benign and liv\u00adable plan\u00adet to what many are call\u00ading a \u201chot-house\u201d Earth. The increas\u00ading\u00adly dra\u00admat\u00adic Cli\u00admate Change effects (and make no mis\u00adtake the 2020 Pan\u00addem\u00adic is anoth\u00ader unin\u00adtend\u00aded but direct exam\u00adple of this), have been the result of our cre\u00adat\u00ading mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal wealth through the destruc\u00adtion of the web of life on this plan\u00adet. There is no way to bal\u00adance our gain with this ter\u00adri\u00adble loss; the spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal bal\u00adance sheet for human\u00adi\u00adty is very much in the neg\u00ada\u00adtive at this point in history.<\/p>\n

Will this be our lega\u00adcy? Will we be the first ones who are not hon\u00adored but instead are cursed by our children\u2019s chil\u00addren? Will we be remem\u00adbered for our self\u00adish\u00adness and greed?<\/p>\n

How<\/strong>
\nHow did this hap\u00adpen?<\/em> Because we humans came to believe that we are sep\u00ada\u00adrate and apart from all oth\u00ader life-forms on this plan\u00adet; we made them into the \u201coth\u00ader\u201d, less than us, and so destroyed the bal\u00adance of life on this plan\u00adet. And then, we also sep\u00ada\u00adrat\u00aded our\u00adselves from one anoth\u00ader, we divid\u00aded humans into \u201cus and them\u201d by race, eth\u00adnic\u00adi\u00adty, creed, and cul\u00adture; and so, we con\u00adtin\u00adue to destroy one anoth\u00ader too.<\/p>\n

Why<\/strong>
\nWhy did this hap\u00adpen?<\/em> Because we for\u00adgot the first Truth: You are here to love one anoth\u00ader; and so, you are equal\u00adly here to love life and pro\u00adtect this pre\u00adcious plan\u00adet and the many lives that depend upon it now and for the gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtions to come. For it is cer\u00adtain\u00adly true that your lives depend upon one anoth\u00ader and on these oth\u00ader life-forms too. We are sup\u00adposed to take care of one anoth\u00ader and this plan\u00adet; to love and pre\u00adserve lives, not to destroy them.<\/p>\n

What I hope for, what I believe, is that this Age of Air, (along with oth\u00ader plan\u00ade\u00adtary shifts), will bring us into a \u201cGreat Awak\u00aden\u00ading\u201d, (in fact, I believe that is what we are expe\u00adri\u00adenc\u00ading now). I believe we will turn from destruc\u00adtion to preser\u00adva\u00adtion; we will turn from self\u00adish\u00adness to self\u00adless\u00adness; we will turn from tak\u00ading to giv\u00ading; we will turn from greed to love. I believe we will because we must.<\/p>\n

Sac\u00adri\u00adfice<\/strong>
\nWe must hon\u00ador those and love those who will come after us by choos\u00ading to sac\u00adri\u00adfice for one anoth\u00ader and for all life on this plan\u00adet now. This Age of Air can and hope\u00adful\u00adly will ush\u00ader in a new glob\u00adal con\u00adscious\u00adness found\u00aded upon a New Prin\u00adci\u00adple: that the first Fun\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal and Pre\u00adsid\u00ading Val\u00adue of Spir\u00adit is Love and the most impor\u00adtant con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion for all our actions shall be to take care of one anoth\u00ader and to pre\u00adserve and pro\u00adtect All Life on this plan\u00adet, our Earth, our Beau\u00adti\u00adful Home.<\/p>\n

We are here to walk in beau\u00adty; we are here to be sur\u00adround\u00aded by beau\u00adty; we are here to love and be loved. Let us live as we were meant to live, sur\u00adround\u00aded by beau\u00adty, and liv\u00ading by love.<\/p>\n

It is not too late; but there is no time to wait.<\/p>\n

We will be the ones remem\u00adbered for their sac\u00adri\u00adfice; we will be the ones who faced with the self\u00adish option to live for now and for our\u00adselves, that we chose instead to pre\u00adserve, to pro\u00adtect and make pos\u00adsi\u00adble a bet\u00adter world for those who come after us.<\/p>\n

Let this be our moment; let this be our sacred covenant with one anoth\u00ader and our descendants.<\/p>\n

Let us be the ones they remem\u00adber for our sac\u00adri\u00adfice, courage, and love,<\/p>\n
