Mer\u00adcury turns ret\u00adro\u00adgrade once more on March 22nd<\/sup> and returns to direct motion again on April 15th<\/sup>. All the plan\u00adets mere\u00adly appear to move back\u00adwards for a time, three weeks in the case of Mer\u00adcury, about three times a year, and upwards of six months for an out\u00ader plan\u00adet like Sat\u00adurn or Uranus, once per year. When\u00adev\u00ader Mer\u00adcury is ret\u00adro\u00adgrade, you are asked to bend your thoughts inward, to re-con\u00adsid\u00ader what and how you know, to tru\u00adly make a bet\u00adter effort to fol\u00adlow the path of Spir\u00adit where there is but one cer\u00adtain truth, that the way to Wis\u00addom is \u201cto know thyself\u201d.<\/p>\n

Though many will com\u00adplain that Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrade is the root cause of many mis\u00adtakes, errors and mis\u00adun\u00adder\u00adstand\u00adings, that is not the fault of Mer\u00adcury. As the bard Shake\u00adspeare so elo\u00adquent\u00adly put it, \u201cThe fault, dear Bru\u00adtus, is not in our stars, but in our\u00adselves, that we are under\u00adlings.\u201d The plan\u00adets and stars cre\u00adate mod\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions of the twelve-fold ener\u00adgy-forms of this uni\u00adverse. But what we make of those gifts of the spir\u00adit, well that depends upon our spir\u00adi\u00adtu\u00adal devel\u00adop\u00adment, it depends upon our degree of intel\u00adli\u00adgence, wis\u00addom and love.<\/p>\n

As we grow into our greater aware\u00adness, we will become as wise as a ser\u00adpent, and equal\u00adly gen\u00adtle as a dove. All great souls pos\u00adsess these traits, and each of us will come into this state of grace some\u00adday. Mean\u00adwhile, it is best for us all to be hum\u00adble, to under\u00adstand that our progress is cer\u00adtain but slow, and it depends upon each of us being awake, alert and self-reflective.<\/p>\n

The oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty offered to you in this ret\u00adro\u00adgrade can be ascer\u00adtained in two ways. One is by under\u00adstand\u00ading what sign is involved in the ret\u00adro\u00adgrade. The sec\u00adond way, is by know\u00ading through what part of your own chart the ret\u00adro\u00adgrade is tak\u00ading place. Since the lat\u00adter qual\u00adi\u00adty is a very indi\u00advid\u00adual fac\u00adtor, let us con\u00adsid\u00ader what the ret\u00adro\u00adgrade in Aries can do for you.<\/p>\n

The expe\u00adri\u00adence of Aries is to bring you into the realm of what I call your \u201cpres\u00adence\u201d. No mat\u00adter what, the most impor\u00adtant thing to be con\u00adscious of, in each and every moment, is to be com\u00adplete\u00adly focused upon how you meet with what is right before you now. For this is the only space in which you can expe\u00adri\u00adence your free\u00addom to be and become ful\u00adly human one day. Yes, you must look back at all your pri\u00ador expe\u00adri\u00adences and con\u00adsid\u00ader what you have learned; and yes, you must equal\u00adly look for\u00adward to the bet\u00adter you and world you wish to cre\u00adate. But the only thing that counts in each and every step, the most crit\u00adi\u00adcal moment of all, is how you meet this moment right here, right now.<\/p>\n

To that end, Mer\u00adcury ret\u00adro\u00adgrade in Aries can be an instru\u00adment for guid\u00ading you to be that much more aware of your\u00adself, to con\u00adsid\u00ader the impor\u00adtance of your pres\u00adence. By tru\u00adly under\u00adstand\u00ading how you appear, and of how you affect those around you, you will be able to more cre\u00adative\u00adly and con\u00adscious\u00adly make the most of every poten\u00adtial held in each of these \u201cpre\u00adcious pearls of the now\u201d in your life.<\/p>\n

Mer\u00adcury will turn you back on your\u00adself so that you can see that if you enter a space, or greet some\u00adone with a cer\u00adtain atti\u00adtude and inten\u00adtion, that you will inevitably shape this expe\u00adri\u00adence one way or anoth\u00ader. What you must know is that this is the only place you have con\u00adtrol to bring about a bet\u00adter out\u00adcome for your\u00adself or oth\u00aders. Your first step, your first ges\u00adtures and words, they are the means to advance your sto\u00adry or repeat the errors of your past.<\/p>\n

By keep\u00ading your self-aware\u00adness focused on the now, through a deep\u00ader self-reex\u00adam\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion of past mis\u00adtakes or mis\u00adsteps, you can learn to present your\u00adself in a man\u00adner that is more appro\u00adpri\u00adate to every sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion. You can pos\u00adi\u00adtive\u00adly influ\u00adence and forge a bet\u00adter out\u00adcome, by break\u00ading a chain of cau\u00adsa\u00adtion that may have cir\u00adcum\u00adscribed your life (and the life of one or many oth\u00aders), by just choos\u00ading to be a bet\u00adter, more enlight\u00adened and self-aware actor in the now.<\/p>\n

Of course, every\u00adthing mat\u00adters in this encounter with the now, how you are dressed, how you hold your\u00adself, how you move, but the most impor\u00adtant con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion is the state of your self-aware\u00adness, your pres\u00adence of mind is the key.<\/p>\n

As you turn every cor\u00adner, as you enter each room, con\u00adsid\u00ader care\u00adful\u00adly what you are bring\u00ading into that space as much as what you encounter in it.<\/p>\n

Often\u00adtimes, I will \u201cremind myself\u201d of this. I will, quite lit\u00ader\u00adal\u00adly gen\u00adtly slap myself in the face as I come to the turn in \u201cthe path\u201d, and I will say to myself, \u201cNow stay alert, be prepared\u2026your future is just around the bend!\u201d<\/p>\n

May you be as wise as a ser\u00adpent, and gen\u00adtle as a dove.<\/p>\n

May you walk the path of Wisdom.<\/p>\n
