Uranus is the awak\u00aden\u00ader, the unex\u00adpect\u00aded vis\u00adi\u00adtor, the path not (yet) tak\u00aden. Cou\u00adpled with Uranus, Venus is usu\u00adal\u00adly delight\u00aded by the thrills of dis\u00adcov\u00adery and surprise.<\/p>\n
But this is a square (a chal\u00adlenge) and you may find today that your dis\u00adcov\u00adery is unset\u00adtling, the sur\u00adprise is upset\u00adting. There is like\u00adly to be a shock about a rela\u00adtion\u00adship and it may seem to come out of nowhere. What is the chal\u00adlenge that you are con\u00adfronting? It seems that either you have \u201chad it\u201d with anoth\u00ader, or they with you. You feel that you can\u00adnot be your\u00adself with them, or they feel they must break free of you. Why, what is real\u00adly going on?<\/p>\n
The chal\u00adlenge (which, of course, is an oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty) is to under\u00adstand, rec\u00adon\u00adcile and so inte\u00adgrate the two truths that Venus and Uranus are now divid\u00aded over. Venus rul\u00ading val\u00adue, attrac\u00adtion and love seeks to bind self and oth\u00ader togeth\u00ader through what is shared. But Uranus is assert\u00ading the prin\u00adci\u00adple of inde\u00adpen\u00addence, orig\u00adi\u00adnal\u00adi\u00adty and free\u00addom. The sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion is that either for your\u00adself or the oth\u00ader, that there is the feel\u00ading that either too much has been sac\u00adri\u00adficed or not enough offered for the rela\u00adtion\u00adship to work.<\/p>\n
The con\u00adflict seems to be whether to be in a rela\u00adtion\u00adship or whether it is bet\u00adter to be free (to be one\u00adself). It may seem to come to that: Rela\u00adtion\u00adship or Free\u00addom. But real\u00adly that is a \u201cfalse choice\u201d; there is no Free\u00addom out\u00adside of rela\u00adtion\u00adship, there is only being alone. And there is no healthy rela\u00adtion\u00adship with\u00adout Free\u00addom; because true free\u00addom is not \u201cfree\u00addom from\u201d it is the \u201cfree\u00addom to be\u201d. The chal\u00adlenge you (and they) face is how to cre\u00adate a bet\u00adter expe\u00adri\u00adence of self and relationship\u2026and that requires, as always, greater self-knowledge.<\/p>\n
Do not see or frame the chal\u00adlenge as a choice between rela\u00adtion\u00adship or free\u00addom. The chal\u00adlenge is take the path of syn\u00adthe\u00adsis, that both Venus and Uranus must be hon\u00adored. You must be true to your val\u00adues (Venus) and so love your\u00adself; and those who love you will wish for that too for they will share them with you. You must express your indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adal\u00adi\u00adty (Uranus) and so ful\u00adfill your des\u00adtiny; and those who love you will want that too for they too wish to ful\u00adfill themselves.<\/p>\n
A healthy rela\u00adtion\u00adship will grow with this align\u00adment; you will each dis\u00adcov\u00ader some\u00adthing more about your\u00adself in and through the con\u00adflict with one anoth\u00ader. But if there is not enough com\u00admon val\u00adue, or enough appre\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion and space for indi\u00advid\u00adual expres\u00adsion, well then there will be a more sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant change in the nature of the rela\u00adtion\u00adship so that each of you may con\u00adtin\u00adue your journey.<\/p>\n
