Tran­script of Radio Show: Where are we now – Plu­to, Nep­tune & Uranus? (6/12/2022)

In just over one week, on June 21^st, we will find our­selves at one of the four great Turn­ings of the Astro­log­i­cal cal­en­dar, the Sol­stice of Can­cer. Which makes this is a good time to pause and recon­sid­er what are the major Astro­log­i­cal themes and mes­sages that are being impart­ed to us by our plan­e­tary com­pan­ions dur­ing this year.

As I will often remind my clients and write about in my blog as well as here on the radio show, I believe we should under­stand the posi­tions of the plan­ets in the Zodi­ac, and their align­ments with one anoth­er as they orbit around the Sun, as form­ing a dynam­ic spir­i­tu­al sys­tem of illu­mi­na­tions, mean­ings and inspi­ra­tions which can help us to bet­ter under­stand our­selves and our jour­ney here on Earth.

The mes­sages and mean­ings of a par­tic­u­lar align­ment of one plan­et to anoth­er, or indeed of them all, is formed by our under­stand­ing of the spir­i­tu­al qual­i­ties that are held in each sign of the zodi­ac, com­bined with the qual­i­ties of being that are held by each plan­et. How­ev­er, what this can­not deter­mine nor indi­cate is the actu­al cir­cum­stances of the phe­nom­e­na in ques­tion. The Zodi­ac and the plan­ets do not form the actu­al con­tent of any expe­ri­ence or event in ques­tion on any lev­el of man­i­fes­ta­tion, whether we look at the atom­ic or chem­i­cal micro­cosms in their spi­rals and vor­tices of com­bi­na­tions, or at the more com­plex organ­ic king­doms, and indeed all the way up to the human king­dom and beyond. Each realm of being, each realm of life, cre­ates and forms its own mate­ri­als of man­i­fes­ta­tion, their own realities.

It is in this unfold­ment of Spir­it, in its mul­ti­ple dimen­sions and realms of becom­ing, it is here we find the great pageantry of Spir­it-Life-Con­scious­ness, and that for every­thing and every­one we can note the birth or begin­ning of a man­i­fes­ta­tion, then fol­low the “Arc of Becom­ing” in that Ener­gy-Form, and even­tu­al­ly we will come to, in this realm of phys­i­cal being, the end of that form which many may mis­un­der­stand as Death. Because this is Truth, the entire Uni­verse is alive and con­scious and cease­less­ly becomes the body of the One by means of these dances of Spir­it through Space-Time, the whirling dancers of Light who weave the sto­ries of Birth-Life-Death and Re-Birth.

So, what we can obtain through Astrol­o­gy is a deep­er under­stand­ing as to the nature of what was born (by exam­in­ing the natal chart of that Life-Form or Enti­ty), and then equal­ly under­stand the Arc of its Exis­tence as formed by the cycles of the plan­ets between them­selves and by the align­ments they make to the chart of that being.

For our pur­pos­es as humans, as we seek to under­stand our human cre­ation, our “self-made selves”, and our expe­ri­ences in the world, that is to say the world we live and walk through each and every day, all the events and process­es of our human lives, the dis­parate range of oppor­tu­ni­ties and dan­gers that we face, the joy or the suf­fer­ing we encounter, all of this is our very own human real­i­ty and cre­ation. We are respon­si­ble for this, as it is we who have made our world. Yes indeed, the very great part our real­i­ty has been made by us, passed down to us our ances­tors, as it is we in turn who our forg­ing our present-day real­i­ty on Earth, and at the same time cre­at­ing the con­di­tions for those who will fol­low us. As Shake­speare so clear­ly put it in his play “Julius Cae­sar”, when Cas­sius says to Brutus,

“The fault, dear Bru­tus, is not in our stars / But in our­selves, that we are underlings.”

The whole pur­pose behind Cre­ation, the essen­tial nature of Spir­it, is to be and become, to move from non-being into being­ness by unfold­ing and extend­ing from the spir­i­tu­al hier­ar­chies into the hier­ar­chies of real­i­ties or of man­i­fes­ta­tions of which we humans are one part. We are here for one thing, to learn to be bet­ter humans, to become bet­ter cre­ators and to take respon­si­bil­i­ty for what was passed down to us, and even more care­ful­ly with what we will bequeath to our descen­dants. So let us turn to our review of the major cur­rent influ­ences as revealed to us by our com­pan­ions in the heavens.

I want to stress as I have many times before, that if we look to one planet’s posi­tion, or to one plan­et align­ing with a plan­et in a par­tic­u­lar chart, we will fail to under­stand the full mean­ing and mea­sure of what has hap­pened or will hap­pen. Though Astrologer’s will focus upon one fac­tor or anoth­er as they deter­mine the nature of an enti­ty, or to deter­mine what that enti­ty is expe­ri­enc­ing, the only way to tru­ly under­stand is to try to hold all these indi­ca­tions and influ­ences as being what they are, part of a larg­er and inte­gral whole. Nev­er­the­less, we will begin as we have done many times before, by con­sid­er­ing the mean­ings and mes­sages of the three out­er­most plan­ets, Plu­to, Nep­tune, and Uranus.

Plu­to
Since 2008 and run­ning until 2024, Plu­to has been mak­ing its once in every 245 years pas­sage through the sign of Capri­corn. As I have not­ed before, when Plu­to (which is the plan­et that rules the process­es of birth-death-rebirth), pass­es through the sign that rules the forms of Real­i­ty and Insti­tu­tion­al order, Capri­corn, that these peri­ods have been char­ac­ter­ized by the end­ing of a par­tic­u­lar Socio-Polit­i­cal sys­tem and the rise of a new order in his­to­ry. Whether we look to the pre­vi­ous pas­sages of 1762 to 1778, (which was the end­ing lead­ing to the begin­ning and the birth of our present order), or to 1516 to 1532 or even to 1269 to 1287, each of these times her­ald­ed the “end of an age” and the seed­ing or begin­ning of a new one.

What hap­pens dur­ing such a peri­od is brought about because the solu­tions that were formed and made into a new Socio-Polit­i­cal order, restruc­tur­ings which were need­ed to resolve the prob­lems that the pre­vi­ous age had cre­at­ed, these solu­tions and restruc­tur­ings for that pre­vi­ous cri­sis bring about their very own prob­lems over time. This is because the nature of the solu­tions of the pre­vi­ous order’s cri­sis cre­ates over the next 250 years their own series or sets of prob­lems, and the now exist­ing order can­not resolve the inher­ent con­tra­dic­tions it now faces. The break­down of the old order­ing of insti­tu­tions ulti­mate­ly cre­ates a cathar­sis of trans­for­ma­tion, of death and rebirth, lead­ing to actions and reac­tions that will even­tu­al­ly coa­lesce into the seed­ing of a new order in the next pas­sage of Plu­to, and that is when Plu­to moves through the sign of Aquar­ius. The last peri­ods for Plu­to in Aquar­ius were from 1778 to 1798 and 1532 to 1553. Though we are going through the end­ing of an Age, and it is hard as we have seen, giv­en the his­to­ry of what hap­pened in those pre­vi­ous times with Plu­to in Aquar­ius, we must under­stand there will be much work to do to bring about our new Order from 2024 onwards.

Plu­to is the ves­sel of the Will, of Pow­er of Con­trol, and as it goes through Capri­corn, we have seen the last gasps of the old orders of pow­er and the begin­nings of a new under­stand­ing about Will and Pow­er rise and emerge from this deconstruction.

But as I not­ed before, with­out con­sid­er­ing the next out­er plan­et, we will miss a big part of what is hap­pen­ing dur­ing each pas­sage of Plu­to in Capricorn.

Nep­tune
In a pre­vi­ous show I not­ed the inte­gral rela­tion­ship of the pas­sages of Nep­tune dur­ing the peri­od when Plu­to was in Capri­corn. Because of the nature of their orbital time peri­ods, it turns out that while Plu­to is in Capri­corn, Nep­tune will be in either Pisces or Vir­go for much of that time. I find this cor­re­spon­dence to be extreme­ly inter­est­ing and help­ful in under­stand­ing the dif­fer­ences we can see between one peri­od of Plu­to in Capri­corn and the next.

Where­as Plu­to holds as the Avatar of the Will and Pow­er, Nep­tune holds as the Avatar of Belief and Faith. The influ­ence of Nep­tune mov­ing through the Signs can be seen as the sto­ry of the unfold­ment for shifts in Con­scious­ness, because Nep­tune holds the Dreams and Illu­mi­na­tions, which may soar to the great­est heights of Uncon­di­tion­al Love and yet at oth­er times devolve into Illu­sions, as to how Real­i­ty is con­ceived, expe­ri­enced, and lived.

In our peri­od of Plu­to in Capri­corn from 2008 to 2024, Nep­tune has been in Pisces from 2011 and remains there until 2026. Where­as in the pre­vi­ous peri­od of 1762 to 1778 it was in Vir­go, and then in Pluto’s Capri­corn pas­sage from 1516 to 1532 it was in Pisces like in our peri­od. That indi­cates to me that our time of 2008 to 2024 is much more like the 1500’s than the 1700’s; our time is more Pis­cean in nature while the 1700’s was more Vir­goan. What might that mean?

For me, the peri­ods with Nep­tune in Vir­go would be more about order and struc­ture, more prac­ti­cal and crit­i­cal with regards to the shifts of faith that were occur­ring in the 1700’s. Where­as in the 1500’s as now with Nep­tune in Pisces, I would see that as the most like­ly to pro­duce the widest swings in mat­ters of belief and faith, of dreams and fears. That is because when Nep­tune is in Pisces the bound­aries between the var­i­ous realms of life and mean­ing are more pro­tean and per­me­able. Cer­tain­ly, in Europe in the 1500’s, the split of the Catholic church into numer­ous protes­tant faiths, along with the rise of a new polit­i­cal econ­o­my, was accom­pa­nied by extreme expres­sions of fer­vent devo­tion, and tremen­dous divi­sions between peo­ples and faiths as to what con­sti­tut­ed truth and what was real.

That strug­gle over the “phe­nom­e­nal archi­tec­ture” of the world, where there is a very real strug­gle over the very nature of good and evil, of what is right and wrong, between the light and the dark­ness, well that seems to be pre­vail­ing again in our time. Where­as the cri­sis in the 1700’s pre­sent­ed itself as a strug­gle about the polit­i­cal order, of the strug­gle between an order based on the Hier­ar­chy of King and Sub­jects ver­sus the Right to Self-Deter­mi­na­tion, in our time as in the 1500’s, it seems that the divi­sions between indi­vid­u­als and groups has a more extreme qual­i­ty, in that it is char­ac­ter­ized by a fun­da­men­tal split as to the nature of real­i­ty itself. There are so many com­pet­ing sto­ries of what is true, ver­sus half-truths ver­sus what is seri­ous­ly delu­sion­al that we can­not even agree to lis­ten to one anoth­er, and we cer­tain­ly do not under­stand one another.

The struc­ture of Will and Pow­er in any con­struct, is made mean­ing­ful, believ­able, and true by the Faith and Dreams of that time. For the Plu­ton­ian Will to work, it must be guid­ed, shaped, and yet equal­ly restrained by the Nep­tun­ian mes­sage of the Divine, which is ulti­mate­ly expe­ri­enced as Uncon­di­tion­al Love. When this bal­ance breaks down, as we see all around us now, we find a world where Insti­tu­tions fail to ful­fill their mis­sion, and the peo­ple see the promise of a bet­ter world for­sak­en, and we equal­ly see the author­i­ties charged with the respon­si­bil­i­ties to address the needs of the times, fail­ing to do enough of what is right for the com­mon good, or abus­ing their pow­er for self­ish ends. Hope is lost in the fog and con­fu­sion of a world that no longer makes sense or works. As William But­ler Yeats famous­ly wrote in his poem “The Sec­ond Coming”:

“Things fall apart; the cen­ter can­not hold…The best lack all con­vic­tion, while the worst 
Are full of pas­sion­ate intensity.”

We will see what the next pas­sage of Nep­tune will bring, when it makes the shift from Pisces into Aries in 2026. Just as Plu­to in Aquar­ius indi­cates the great work of build­ing a new order will have begun, that re-birth of Plu­to will be guid­ed and inspired (as it was in the 1500’s) by Neptune’s move­ment through Aries.

Uranus
To com­plete the overview for our present time, we need to bring in the third Avatar of the tri­ad of Spir­it, Uranus. It is the pur­pose of Uranus to hold the Inno­v­a­tive, Cre­ative and Mind­ful nature of Spir­it. As much as Nep­tune rules and holds the ques­tions of Faith, Uranus brings in the coun­ter­point of Rea­son and Crit­i­cal think­ing. Togeth­er they hold the Ener­gy-Forms of the Rea­son­ing Mind and the Intu­ition­al Spir­it. They can also be seen as the hold­ers of the inte­gral rela­tion­ship between Indi­vid­u­al­i­ty (Uranus) and Com­mu­nal­i­ty (Nep­tune). Both these qual­i­ties are nec­es­sary, but they vary in their inten­si­ty and inte­gra­tion, some­times in bal­ance with one anoth­er and some­times one pre­vail­ing as more dom­i­nant in dif­fer­ent soci­eties and times.

As we have not­ed often, Uranus’ posi­tion dur­ing this peri­od seems sig­nif­i­cant too, as it is mov­ing through the Sign of Tau­rus from 2018 to 2026. Tau­rus is the ves­sel of Val­ue, and from it we even­tu­al­ly come to under­stand that what stands behind all mea­sures and man­i­fes­ta­tions of val­ue is the one ever­last­ing Val­ue, Divine Uncon­di­tion­al Love; that every­thing and every being is a spark of the Divine, and all are pre­cious in the Love that is the One.

What this means as Uranus moves through Tau­rus is that our under­stand­ing and expe­ri­ence of val­ue is being “shook up” by Uranus, which is also known as the ruler of shocks, sur­pris­es, and earth­quakes. Uranus shakes us and breaks us from our attach­ments to less­er under­stand­ings (in this case with regards to the ques­tion of our val­ues and hier­ar­chy of val­ue), not to harm and dis­turb us but to wake us up, to make us open our eyes with won­der again. Uranus is the lib­er­a­tor, and it helps us to be free from self-made fil­ters that lim­it our under­stand­ing; it brings the gift of an open mind so that we might see once again, “with the eyes of a child”.

I have also not­ed that Uranus holds a spe­cial rela­tion­ship of cor­re­spon­dence with Nep­tune (that is like the har­mon­ics of Nep­tune with Plu­to), in that one orbit of Nep­tune equals two of Uranus. Uranus is in Tau­rus every 84 years or so, and the last times were, 1935 to 1942, 1851 to 1859 and 1768 to 1775. In world his­to­ry, and cer­tain­ly for Amer­i­can his­to­ry, those years stand out as moments when earth­quakes shook the world of ideas for the con­cepts of val­ue. For our peri­od, the peri­od most like our own is 1851 to 1859, which were the lead up to our Civ­il War, and that is the last time that Nep­tune was in Pisces while Uranus was in Tau­rus, just like now. Once again, we have the alter­na­tion of Nep­tune being in Pisces or Vir­go, while Uranus moves through Tau­rus. Once again, we are at a time that bears a strik­ing resem­blance to anoth­er time in his­to­ry, and much the same themes as to how we val­ue one anoth­er are before us once again.

In our present time we are once again faced with the Plu­ton­ian realm of Will and Pow­er break­ing down insti­tu­tion­al­ly, so that the hier­ar­chy of order and respon­si­bil­i­ty fails, and indi­vid­u­als and groups assume their own author­i­ty to chal­lenge the exist­ing order, to wield their uncen­tered and so unspir­i­tu­al pow­er, lay­ing claim to rights that are not root­ed in truth, as for exam­ple seen in the sedi­tious mob shout­ing as they stormed the Capi­tol on Jan­u­ary 6^th say­ing, “this is our house”.

We find that the Nep­tun­ian Realm of Faith and Belief, no longer held togeth­er by a func­tion­ing hier­ar­chy of insti­tu­tion­al struc­tures, devolv­ing into each per­son and group assum­ing their right to be the deter­min­er of what is true or false, and so our com­mon under­stand­ing is bro­ken, and half-truths root­ed in fear fuel an atmos­phere filled with sus­pi­cions, mis­trust, and isolation.

Final­ly, the gift of Uranus, of hav­ing the capac­i­ty to think “out­side the ordi­nary”, to be a con­trar­i­an, devolves into unmoored asser­tions of fic­tions as fact, as a ver­i­ta­ble tsuna­mi of lies swamps the realm of mind, so that the act of being con­trary is not to help free one another’s minds but is used as a bat­ter­ing ram to sow con­fu­sion and doubt where noth­ing is true, and so every­thing become impossible.

Giv­en where we are, what are we do? I do have hope, as I do know that humans have faced the dark­est of hours and still found their way back into the light. Why? Because the Light nev­er left, nor will it ever go out. The Light of the One it is at the heart of each and every one of us. We only need to remem­ber, who and what we are, and then act by and through that under­stand­ing. In all that we do, we must remain cen­tered and pur­pose­ful with the wis­dom that begins with this, that the Uni­verse is formed by Love and is made of Truth.

When we do stand fast and aligned with our spir­it, we know that there is truth, and it is love. We know that there is hope because we have faith. We know that our faith is not root­ed in a teach­ing or a book, but it is instead a liv­ing faith found­ed upon the spark of the Divine shin­ing in every one of us. When we lis­ten to that qui­et, gen­tle voice remind­ing us of who we are, then we will know what to do and how to do it.

We are on the path of Light; and that Light is Love.

The Light of Consciousness

The sto­ry of Cre­ation is the sto­ry of the jour­ney of Spir­it through all the many realms of this Uni­verse. From the One, came the many; the count­less many ones who went out on a seem­ing­ly nev­er-end­ing jour­ney of becom­ing. These Mon­ads of Spir­its, these Sparks of the Divine, are found at the heart of every par­ti­cle, being or Ener­gy-Form of the Uni­verse. Tru­ly we need to move away from our dual­is­tic notions of Ener­gy and Form, of Spir­it and Mat­ter, and under­stand that real­ly there is just the One. That Mat­ter is just the dens­est form of Spir­it, as Spir­it is the most ethe­re­al form of Matter.

These sparks of the Divine form the build­ing blocks of Cre­ation, rang­ing from what we know as the sub-atom­ic world of pro­tons, elec­trons, and neu­trons, and on up to the plan­ets, stars, and galax­ies and what­ev­er lies beyond; and that all these amaz­ing man­i­fes­ta­tions of Spir­it-Mat­ter are the body, heart, and mind of the One. We should also under­stand that all these Ener­gy-Forms are just var­ied man­i­fes­ta­tions of Spir­it, and that the whole of Cre­ation is filled with the Light of Con­scious­ness and Uncon­di­tion­al Love of the One. The One is Cre­ation; Cre­ation is the One.

And this is the point of this spe­cial moment in our Zodi­a­cal Year, for today we move from the realm of Tau­rus into the Light that is Gem­i­ni. Because anoth­er way of under­stand­ing Cre­ation is that on one lev­el or con­sid­er­a­tion, the whole of Cre­ation is Con­scious; Cre­ation is the Mind of the One made man­i­fest. Every part of Cre­ation is on some lev­el a form of mind, a form of con­scious­ness, so that the entire­ty of Cre­ation is also the Mind of the One. The Whole Uni­verse is essen­tial­ly the Con­scious­ness of the One; and we should under­stand that the entire hier­ar­chy of Spir­it-Life-Con­scious­ness is exact­ly this, the inter­re­lat­ed and inter­de­pen­dent fields of fields of Ener­gy-Forms that are the Life-Love-Mind of the One.

Why is this impor­tant for Gem­i­ni? Because held with­in the sto­ry of Gem­i­ni we find the ever-renew­ing gift that holds the por­tal to our greater under­stand­ing. Yes, the whole of Cre­ation is formed by many forms of mind in a con­stant jour­ney of self-becom­ing. But there is a point in the pere­gri­na­tions of spir­it through the Uni­verse, in which each class of mon­ads arrives at this spe­cial moment in their jour­ney, when they become not mere­ly aware, but self-aware. That is what we cel­e­brate in Gem­i­ni, the gift of our self-aware consciousness.

Long, long ago, when our inner mon­ad of the Divine Spir­it was ready for this great “quick­en­ing”, for the release of our greater poten­tial, it was then that the torch of Self-Aware­ness was passed to us by those who had walked this path long ago. It was their duty and hon­or to share with us this gift, just as it had been shared with them ages ago. For this is part of the teach­ing too, that all the ones of the One care for one anoth­er, and that all of us become who and what we are to be through our rela­tion­ships and love for one another.

That is why we have these sto­ries that have been passed down to us from our ances­tors, that tell us about this gift of aware­ness. They are the tales held in the myths of Prometheus, of Lucifer, of Quet­zal­coatl, of Loki and the great sto­ry of the Kumaras. Until that moment in our jour­ney, we were aware but some­what asleep as well, and it was at this most con­se­quen­tial gift that we were pulled into “the aware­ness of our aware­ness”, we became self-aware, and this was both joy­ful and very painful too.

Why? Because now we were seem­ing­ly sep­a­rat­ed from the One, and we “fell” into divi­sion as we rose in this new under­stand­ing, and this is part of our sto­ry too. We left behind our inno­cence as we were gift­ed this greater respon­si­bil­i­ty for our fur­ther devel­op­ment. This was when we began to walk the path of being in that great com­pa­ny of awak­en­ing, to be and become self-aware cre­ators in Creation.

With this gift of self-aware­ness, with the dawn­ing of objec­tive con­scious­ness, the next step in our jour­ney was tak­en, as we became aware through the twin pil­lars of Gem­i­ni of the way of the Uni­verse, of the dual­i­ties of cre­ation, of Spir­it and Mat­ter, of Sub­ject and Object, of “this and that”, which began most sim­ply for us in the expe­ri­ence of “I am that, and I am not that”. And it was this, this unceas­ing, inces­sant need to expe­ri­ence Cre­ation in all its com­plex­i­ties, diver­si­ties, cor­re­spon­dences, and con­nec­tions that stirred our glo­ri­ous and self-lumi­nous seed to sprout, because now we had to know, we had to under­stand “how all of this, how all of that”, is.

What we cel­e­brate in Gem­i­ni now, and at this time of year and some­where in your chart this is always true, you should give thanks for this nec­tar of the gods which we know as the Light of Intel­li­gence. But we should always remem­ber that like all spir­i­tu­al gifts, this gift must be under­stood as being found­ed upon and then made real by our love for one anoth­er, just as this gift was giv­en to us by love. Our obser­va­tions and cog­i­ta­tions, our analy­ses, and our deter­mi­na­tions, can­not move us to a deep­er under­stand­ing with­out being teth­ered and shaped, ground­ed and sup­port­ed by our shar­ing and com­par­ing with one anoth­er. For after all, what we real­ly are as humans is this, we are Storytellers.

The sto­ry of our Intel­li­gence, like the sto­ry of our Con­scious­ness, is just that, a sto­ry. If we wish to not fall into error, if we wish to walk the path of the One, then we must keep shar­ing with one anoth­er, we must lis­ten to one anoth­er, we must keep shar­ing our sto­ries with one anoth­er, and by this car­ing and com­pas­sion and shar­ing, we will be able to help one anoth­er to refine our under­stand­ing of our­selves and our world.

For it is most cer­tain­ly true that you will only know your­self, and you will only under­stand your world, when you see the oth­er as your­self. When you look into the eyes of whomev­er is before you, and when you see shin­ing there that sparkling Spir­it of Know­ing, it is then that you will smile and laugh and love with one anoth­er because you know we are the Light which is the Divine, “whose cen­ter is every­where and whose cir­cum­fer­ence is nowhere”.

What are you?

Today we begin the sec­ond month in the Astro­log­i­cal cal­en­dar, and some­where in your chart, and for every­one at this time of year, we all need to lis­ten to the spir­i­tu­al mes­sages for us in this sacred space known as Taurus.

For the past 30 days you have been guid­ed and inspired by the Gift that is Aries, the abil­i­ty to find and forge your true pres­ence as you walk through the “eter­nal now”. As I will often say to my clients when­ev­er their pro­gressed Moon is mov­ing through Aries, (or when­ev­er a plan­et is mov­ing through their chart’s first house), the uni­verse is ask­ing you the first ques­tion of life, “Who are you”?

That is a very pro­found ques­tion indeed, of course. But Tau­rus brings you to per­haps an even deep­er and more chal­leng­ing ques­tion; life will ask you now not “who” are you, but “what are you”? Think about that ques­tion, of all the many cat­e­gories of being, the great range of attrib­ut­es, strengths, pow­ers and so very much more that go into the mak­ing of the “what” of you. Real­ly that is it, “What is that what?”; and that is the ques­tion you need to be ask­ing your­self in Taurus.

And, if you con­sid­er this ques­tion, for even a very short time, you will real­ize how very deep and pro­found it is. Exact­ly what is “the What” of being human? For you are not “a thing”, no not at all. You, and this is true of every mote and par­ti­cle of Cre­ation too, you are a field of Ener­gy-Forms or bod­ies, formed by a hier­ar­chy of these mag­nif­i­cent man­i­fes­ta­tions of Spirit-Matter.

You are a sparkling dew­drop of the divine who emerged from the One. In each life, “from the cen­ter that is every­where and whose cir­cum­fer­ence is nowhere”, from the heart of you which is a Mon­ad of Spir­it-Life-Con­scious­ness, you bring forth from your­self, in com­bi­na­tion with the sur­round­ing fields of Ener­gy-Forms, the nec­es­sary vehi­cles of being that are required for each dimen­sion of life that is Creation.

You descend or emanate from your Mon­ad or Spir­it Body Field which is the high­est part of you, into the next realm of your Men­tal-Intu­itive ener­gy-form or body, then from that descends a low­er Men­tal form, and then from this an Emo­tion­al body, and then a Vital body, and final­ly, to what you mis­tak­en­ly take to be your “true self”, you assume a Phys­i­cal body, the dens­est Field of Ener­gy-Forms that you require for life here on Earth.

And you need to know this, that each of these bod­ies are formed by par­ti­cles and forms from which they are made too. You are not an indi­vid­ual being what­so­ev­er, you are a host of hosts, a ver­i­ta­ble con­stel­la­tion or field of fields of ener­gy-forms, so that in fact you are very own lit­tle uni­verse of Spirit-Life-Consciousness.

Yes, it is in Tau­rus that you move from sub­jec­tiv­i­ty to objec­tiv­i­ty, you go from “I am” to “I am that”. You become you by these forms of being as you expe­ri­ence life as a rain­bow of sen­sa­tions, as you dis­cov­er your strengths, as you acquire your abil­i­ties, and by mov­ing into this earthy realm you forge the qual­i­ties of you as human. In Tau­rus, you expe­ri­ence the joy and won­der of being alive, of see­ing the beau­ty of the world, of liv­ing in a realm of shapes and col­ors, and sounds, and scents, and so many won­der­ful sen­sa­tions that are the heart of and forge the love of being part of LIFE, of which you are a most spe­cial part too.

But the ques­tion remains, what is “that what” of you, or bet­ter, what is the val­ue that is you? From your youth to old age, the val­ues that make you, the qual­i­ties of your being, will wax and wane, as the phys­i­cal strengths of your youth give way to the gifts of wis­dom and judge­ment of lat­er years. There are days when it all seems so per­fect, to be fol­lowed by days when you do not feel so very valu­able at all. Amidst all these ups and downs, of a life of joys and of sor­rows, what is behind the val­ue of you any­way? After all the many ways of val­ue, what is the foun­tain-source of val­ue of you?

As it was in the begin­ning, so shall it be in the end. You are a price­less jew­el of spir­it, a spark of the Divine. There is no way to mea­sure what is the what of you, for tru­ly it is the one Ener­gy-Form behind the entire­ty of Cre­ation; you are through and through made of Divine Uncon­di­tion­al Love.

But so is all of this, all of life, all of cre­ation is here because of Love. All of Cre­ation is pre­cious, all of it is here to be loved too.

You are here because of love, and you are here quite sim­ply to be that Love for one anoth­er and for this beau­ti­ful Earth and for the Stars above you too.

Remem­ber what you are,

Black Hole — Grav­i­ty Well

Tran­script of Radio Show: Bub­bles of Belief and The Grav­i­ty Well of Faith (4/10/2022)

I thought that it would help to pull back from any one issue today, as we focused on Ukraine, Zelen­sky and Putin last time, and zoom out and look at the prin­ci­pal plan­e­tary Avatars of mean­ing again, to look to Uranus, Nep­tune, and Plu­to and reex­am­ine their message(s) for us at this time.

But first, I would also like to remind us, that the plan­ets and stars do not make the con­tent of what hap­pens here on Earth. They do not cre­ate Love or Hate, Peace or War. What we have, what we face and what we will make, the very real con­tent of our indi­vid­ual char­ac­ter, the sen­si­bil­i­ties and morals of our com­mu­ni­ties, and the real­i­ty of our eco­nom­ic and polit­i­cal orders, all of that is some­thing that we have fash­ioned since the moment we humans moved into self-aware devel­op­ment many thou­sands of years ago.

Con­scious­ness, Pat­terns and Self-Awareness
The moment we began to become aware and see pat­terns, with­in our­selves, and between one anoth­er, and in the world around us, the moment we began to fash­ion ways of meet­ing our needs that we could pass down to those after us, the moment we became co-cre­ators of our­selves and this world, it is then that we became respon­si­ble for what we have done well (and not so well) through­out human his­to­ry. And this under­stand­ing, of how much we make and re-make our­selves and our real­i­ty, has become increas­ing­ly evi­dent over the last 500 years. We find at this moment in our jour­ney of awak­en­ing, that we humans have become one of the prin­ci­pal instru­ments of evo­lu­tion on this Earth. And, as always, since the moment we woke up the key to our future would for­ev­er flow from the great injunc­tion of Spir­i­tu­al Wis­dom and self-mas­tery, “Know Thyself”.

But how is it that we did or do this? What is this secret of our pow­er to cre­ate, and the pow­er to destroy our­selves and our world? What we under­stand is that this awe­some gift, with the pow­er of a being a cre­ator and destroy­er, was forged when we became self-aware, and we became capa­ble of hold­ing our expe­ri­ences in vehi­cles of preser­va­tion and trans­mis­sion, in sym­bols and sounds, in Knowl­edge and Wis­dom, and it was then that we became ever more respon­si­ble as the shapers and mak­ers of our destiny.

Vehi­cles of Knowing
These vehi­cles of preser­va­tion take many forms. In ear­li­er ages, but still very much present in our own time, the cus­toms, and life­ways of a group of humans, a fam­i­ly tribe, or a small com­mu­ni­ty or larg­er com­mu­ni­ty, who hav­ing dis­cov­ered how to secure their needs in their local area, (for water, food, shel­ter, etc.), we humans would cre­ate sto­ries and rit­u­als that held this knowl­edge of our world for those that fol­lowed. Our great­est trea­sure and gift to those who will fol­low us is this liv­ing Ener­gy-Form of Mind that per­sists from gen­er­a­tion to generation.

But these vehi­cles of know­ing and mem­o­ry do not just pass on prac­ti­cal or tech­ni­cal knowl­edge. For we humans are made of much more than naked ideas or thoughts. We also find it nec­es­sary, to enfold and encode our knowl­edge and truth with “Mean­ing­ful­ness”. We do not mere­ly think, we Think-Feel, or Feel-Think, and our expe­ri­ences, mem­o­ries, sto­ries, and wis­dom are held togeth­er and passed down in ways that hold us togeth­er with these ener­gy-forms of Love and Hate, Faith and Fear, Com­pas­sion and Self­ish­ness that move us deeply and pro­found­ly and tru­ly form our real­i­ty of one anoth­er and our world.

Bub­bles of Belief
I have called these vehi­cles of expe­ri­ence, (and this des­ig­na­tion becomes increas­ing­ly rel­e­vant in the more com­plex human com­mu­ni­ties of eth­nic­i­ties, cul­tures, and mod­ern nation states), I call these hold­ers of mean­ings our “Bub­bles of Belief”. It is Neptune’s role for us, as the Avatar of Under­stand­ing and Mean­ing, by its indi­vid­ual syn­od­ic cycles (one cir­cuit around our star to the next), and its inter­sect­ing cycles with Uranus and Plu­to espe­cial­ly, it is Neptune’s mes­sag­ing that can be most help­ful in help­ing to explain the waves of mean­ing­ful­ness that sweep through us and our history.

Again, I want to stress, that it is not Nep­tune (or any plan­et for that mat­ter), which forms the spe­cif­ic type of con­tent of mean­ing that any one group or cul­ture has cre­at­ed and fol­lowed. That con­tent and that mean­ing, is made by us, it has evolved and devel­oped over time, from the very dis­tant past, and that cre­ation and accre­tion informs our present cir­cum­stances, and it can also help us to under­stand how we might be shap­ing our future too.

In what we see from our record­ed his­to­ries, cer­tain­ly since the times of the ancient or clas­si­cal worlds, before the cur­rent era (BCE), and then increas­ing­ly down to our very own time today, we see how the pow­er of beliefs of one group or of one peo­ple or one cul­ture can have the most sig­nif­i­cant effects upon that group inter­nal­ly, and equal­ly upon those with whom they have con­tact exter­nal­ly. Indeed, what we can see now in the present day is that these Bub­bles of Belief influ­ence and shape the entire world in both won­der­ful and hor­rif­ic ways.

We humans are so very pro­tean in our nature, capa­ble of cre­at­ing or mak­ing the val­ue of our­selves and of the mate­r­i­al world we live in, bend­ing and trans­form­ing in a mul­ti­tude of ways, so that the range of cul­tures, beliefs, life­ways, and hier­ar­chies of val­ues expe­ri­enced over the course of our his­to­ry is quite astound­ing, rich, and var­ied. These Bub­bles of Belief form and shape our very notions of who we are, what it means to be human, what we aspire to be, includ­ing the notion of what is the mean­ing or pur­pose of our lives.

But because how very deeply we humans are made from and held by these Thought-Feel­ing Forms, their influ­ence over any indi­vid­ual, or group, or cul­ture or nation is very pro­found. It is one thing when we con­sid­er the more minor vehi­cles of tech­nique and mean­ing, the accu­mu­lat­ed knowl­edge that enables each gen­er­a­tion to lit­er­al­ly not have to re-invent the wheel! But it is entire­ly a dif­fer­ent order of mean­ing when we con­sid­er these larg­er Bub­bles of Belief and Mean­ing that shape a group or cul­ture or nation, mold­ing and hold­ing their spir­i­tu­al and cul­tur­al ideals, their cat­e­gories of right and wrong, of good and evil, of truth and falsehood.

Grav­i­ty Well of Faith
This is what I meant by includ­ing in the title for this show what I call the phe­nom­e­non of “The Grav­i­ty Well of Faith”. What do I mean by this? It is the con­cept that as groups of peo­ples, and even more as a set of sub-cul­tures are formed, and final­ly as a larg­er over-arch­ing cul­ture of a peo­ple or nation is estab­lished, their core beliefs become some­what like the obser­va­tions of the influ­ence of grav­i­ty, which is itself most pow­er­ful­ly observed when we see how the pas­sage of light from a par­tic­u­lar star is lit­er­al­ly “bent” by the grav­i­ty of anoth­er star or even more by a black hole. I would argue that in a Men­tal-Emo­tion­al way, the attach­ment and weight of belief and faith has a sim­i­lar effect of pulling those mem­bers into a deeply bind­ing sys­tem of real­i­ty, which cre­ates an all-pow­er­ful Idea-Feel­ing form that holds that group togeth­er as one. It is the way of that peo­ple, the “Spir­i­tus Mun­di”, the Spir­it of a Time, or the “Zeit­geist”, the defin­ing Char­ac­ter of the peo­ple in a peri­od of history.

Through­out human his­to­ry, we have wit­nessed the awe­some pow­er of what we might con­sid­er con­struc­tive and destruc­tive Bub­bles of Belief, as in the Ideas and Pas­sions forged by reli­gious beliefs, or the dra­ma of social move­ments striv­ing to advance social jus­tice. But we have equal­ly wit­nessed the hor­rors com­mit­ted in the name of faith, or the so-called advance­ment or tri­umph of one peo­ple by the destruc­tion of anoth­er. Tru­ly these more encom­pass­ing and com­pelling Belief Bub­bles hold and bind their believ­ers in a deep Well of fer­vor which can lead to the most dis­parate of outcomes.

Through­out his­to­ry, and cer­tain­ly in what we call the “mod­ern era”, the Grav­i­ty Well of Faith that holds all a peo­ple as one, the idea of a peo­ple defined by a geo­graph­ic area, a com­mon his­to­ry, a cer­tain set of cul­tur­al attrib­ut­es, etcetera, has been a prin­ci­pal dri­ver of human inte­gra­tion with­in that group and defined and shaped its rela­tion­ship with oth­er peo­ples or groups. Yet, beyond these nat­ur­al foun­da­tions for the defin­ing of a peo­ple, beyond what some have held as the true root­ed­ness found in “blood and soil”, we also have seen the very pow­er of an idea itself, such as “all humans are cre­at­ed equal” per­me­ate, chal­lenge and over­throw these more so-called nat­ur­al deter­mi­na­tions of what forms the Grav­i­ty Well of Faith.

The shift from pre­vail­ing Bub­bles of Belief, and even from one Grav­i­ty Well to anoth­er, has both been a prod­uct of our human pro­tean capac­i­ty and equal­ly the dri­ver of that trans­for­ma­tive evo­lu­tion. Tru­ly, we are and make what we are by how we Think and Feel about who we are, where we come from, what mat­ters to us, and, and how that fits with the larg­er world around us and oth­er groups with oth­er Beliefs and Grav­i­ty Wells of Faith.

Astro­log­i­cal­ly, what we can observe over time with regards to the cycle of Nep­tune through the Zodi­ac, is that there are sim­i­lar influ­ences cre­at­ed when it is mov­ing the Zodi­a­cal Signs, and espe­cial­ly when pass­ing through Pisces (as it is now), along with sig­nif­i­cant indi­ca­tions revealed by its orbital rela­tion­ship with Uranus (as well as its orbital pat­tern with Plu­to too).

Nep­tune, The Uni­ver­sal Solvent
For our pur­pose today, when­ev­er Nep­tune, known as the Uni­ver­sal Sol­vent, is mov­ing through its own sign of Pisces, we have seen a greater propen­si­ty towards the dis­solv­ing and warp­ing of the Bub­bles of Belief and Mean­ing for that peri­od. Our peri­od from 2011 to 2026 is like that of 1848–1862, or 1685–1698, and 1520–1535. In our time, as in those peri­ods, there was a surge of mys­ti­cism and cre­ativ­i­ty, of reli­gious and ide­o­log­i­cal fer­ment, and the break­ing down of the old cer­tain­ties as bor­ders between the orders and realms of soci­ety became more permeable.

What hap­pens in such peri­ods is that the for­mer cer­tain­ties of a reign­ing order of mean­ing begin to dis­solve, and indi­vid­u­als and groups become unteth­ered to a com­mon­ly held real­i­ty for­ma­tion. This move­ment beyond the lim­its or con­fines of pre­vi­ous held truths and beliefs can be lib­er­at­ing, and indeed this “let­ting go in order to grow” has been a nec­es­sary and sig­nif­i­cant instru­ment of progress. But it is also prob­a­ble, and many times we have seen this as well, that the break­ing of those Bub­bles of Beliefs which been held togeth­er the many as one in a shared Grav­i­ty Well of Faith will lead those unteth­ered souls into wider and some­times weird­er per­mu­ta­tions of mean­ings and faith.

Dan­ger of Disillusionment
Indeed, these new­ly “freed” indi­vid­u­als and groups of indi­vid­u­als, may become entan­gled and enchant­ed by a new-found faith or truth, which may or may not be true at all. Or they may look back, return­ing to a way of feel­ing and think­ing, to a way of being that was lost and wish to reclaim it. The prob­lem is that now being no longer cir­cum­scribed and held to some sense of a cen­tered self by a fun­da­men­tal Well of Mean­ing, their very long­ing for a cen­ter of mean­ing by which to hold them­selves togeth­er can be the very instru­ment by which they become pulled into and held by a new-found or redis­cov­ered belief. They forge an alter­nate Well of Mean­ing that is not based in a wide­ly shared real­i­ty that has pre­vailed over time, and which has been test­ed and affirmed by its func­tion­ing with­in the larg­er world.

Indeed, they often take com­fort and pride in stand­ing apart, hold­ing them­selves with a high regard for their role as restor­ers, or avengers, or redeemers, and by that very Well of Grav­i­ty they have forged, they may lead them­selves into a way of being that can cause great harm to them­selves and to oth­ers, as we have cer­tain­ly seen here and around the world long ago and in our present day too.

Now, giv­en we are in such a moment now, where the old cer­tain­ties, which were not with­out illu­sions to be sure, but they held us in a belief that we had moved more close­ly into a world where con­sen­sus and agree­ment would cre­ate some kind of “Gold­en Age”, but instead we find our­selves, as indi­vid­u­als, and in groups, and even as nations con­fused and uncer­tain as to our future, so that we find our­selves des­per­ate­ly hold­ing on to what­ev­er pro­vides some com­fort amidst the tumult of rumors, half-truths, pro­pa­gan­da, con­spir­a­cies, and the hav­oc foment­ed by weak souls wield­ing dead­ly pow­ers, well, what do any of us do to find our way in such a world?

The Truth
I am sure you know what I am about to say to that. For the truth is this, the Truth nev­er changes. It is what makes the Uni­verse and you and I, and it is encod­ed in the pat­terns that make the build­ing blocks of the phys­i­cal world, from atoms, to mol­e­cules, to organ­isms (like you and me), and the stars. The truth is out there, and in us too. We have seen these pat­terns of mean­ing with both our intu­itive gifts and our sci­en­tif­ic instru­ments. Yes, we feel and think about these wheels with­in wheels, pat­terns with­in pat­terns that form the web, the warp and weft of the entire uni­verse, from the infin­i­tes­i­mal to the infinite.

The First Grav­i­ty Well of Faith, The One
You, me, and the whole uni­verse are made from, shaped by and are here because of the first Grav­i­ty Well of Faith, the One. And long, long ago and through­out the ages, var­i­ous Wise Ones and Prophets, Sci­en­tists and Seers, and many who remain unknown have found their way to this sin­gu­lar truth. That we are all, no mat­ter where we think we came from, and no mat­ter what we may feel about one anoth­er, we are all here to come back to the source of all to remem­ber and under­stand that we are made as one by the One, forged by love and we are here to love one another.

What is the way for­ward, what is the path we must fol­low? It is quite sim­ple real­ly, which is why it is tru­ly true. I wrote this ear­li­er, and it bears repeat­ing now. The only way for­ward is to fol­low the path of Ever­last­ing Truth, which is:

That this Uni­verse is formed by one pri­ma­ry Ener­gy-Form, The Uncon­di­tion­al Love of the One for all the ones; That made by Uncon­di­tion­al Love, we are here to Love and be Loved Uncon­di­tion­al­ly too; and giv­en the Ener­gy-Form that holds all of Cre­ation as One is our Root Ener­gy-Form as well, then we are here quite sim­ply to Love One Anoth­er, and it fol­lows that we should Love the oth­er as we Love Our own true Self for there real­ly is no dif­fer­ence. Each one of us, all of us are in Truth sparks of the One and so we are here to live by the light of the divine with­in each of us, indeed in all that we do, and it is by this Love that we bow to the Divine that is the entire­ty of this won­drous Cre­ation too.

The Way Forward
The Ancient Wis­dom holds that the Love of the One is Uncon­di­tion­al and All-Encom­pass­ing. And we, who are sparks of this One Divine Light, we are equal­ly called upon to strive to treat one anoth­er, and indeed all of life, as our broth­ers and sis­ters, as our moth­ers and fathers, as dear to us as we are to our­selves; that we are here quite sim­ply to learn and so become that Light which is Love; and that our entire Jour­ney in Spir­it is for us to awak­en to our true nature which is to love and be loved in this Cre­ation, a Cre­ation in which we and count­less sparks of the Divine actu­al­ly form that liv­ing embod­i­ment of Love.

So, I would say the way for­ward is clear, as it has always been clear to those who fol­low the path of Light and Love. When you see some­one in trou­ble, there you are. When you see the evil that is igno­rance, there you should be light of under­stand­ing and heal­ing. When you wish to do what is right, there is but one thing you must do.

Love one another.
